San Diego PACE San Ysidro Prices and Payment Options
As a PACE provider, the program is primarily funded through integrated Medicare and Medicaid (Medi-Cal) agreements. For eligible participants with both Medicare and Medi-Cal, most services are covered with no out-of-pocket expenses, provided all care is coordinated by the PACE team.
For those who do not qualify for Medi-Cal, a monthly premium may apply; however, the cost is typically inclusive of all medical care, transportation, and medications. In the San Diego region, private pay geriatric care coordination can range significantly, but PACE offers a capped, predictable alternative.

My elderly mother was seen today by this so called doctor. Please do not refer patients to him. First, the doctor did not allow me to come in with my 85 year old mother. I as her legal power of healthcare person had… questions. No listening skills. A psychiatrist generally understands the role of the vagus nerve in regulating mood, stress responses, and its connection to the brain-gut axis. While it is part of the autonomic nervous system, psychiatrists increasingly recognize it for its role in regulating inflammation and mental health. Told my mother that childhood trauma and nervous system regulation had nothing to do with 'functional freeze' or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. He asked mom why she was there, mom responded that her primary had sent her there. When patient explained her symptoms (conversion disorder),uncontrolled shaking, unable to speak, get out of bed, anxiety, depression. Zayas said that it had to do to her old age, nothing to do with trauma and/or nervous system dysfunction. Zayas said that antidepressants were only way. Not open to listen to the patient. I offered to send him article from Dr. Mei Lin a molecular biologist, “Understanding Chronic Flare-Up Symptoms”, he stated “don’t send it to me, I don’t need it.” Also, articles(Healthzine, Evidence with Modafinil and chronic fatigue) about Medications for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Zayas said he would never support these medications. (see Health Matters, “A detailed guide of modafinil for chronic fatigue syndrome). Zayas stated that mom would have to go through therapy and antidepressants.

Horrible front desk assistants and disrespectful to the clients.
My mother is reciprocant of San Diego Pace. Pace contribute to most of my mother's fees in a memory care facility. But I warn you not to join this useless unprofessional organization. The staff are the worst. They never… return calls. They delete you from being able to find out information of your parent. It is the absolute worst. And as for the switchboard the staff are so rude, incompetent and if you can get past them then good luck but again this is a major warning not to use this company. The transport leaves a severe Alzheimer's patient in the middle of the road and drives away it is only luckily that the staff in the memory care facility saw her that they went out to get her. That is what the transport staff do. Believe me, your parents yourselves are not safe with this company.

I have been waiting for a form to be filled out and they keep changing when it will done. It's a really important form and I stressed that and still haven't got it. Going on 2 months now. This is causing undue stress… that they do not care.
Great people! Nurse Daisy is wonderful. They provide transportation too. Thank you very much.
Horrible transportation service! they drop my grandma off in El Cajon waited for two hours and still had the nerve to get mad at her for going somewhere else. They should be ashamed of themselves.
My dad loves this place , sadden to have to take him out due to their transportation forgetting to pick him up all the time
Horrible Horrible please stay AWAY from Pace!
Please get rid of CFS TRANSPORTATION and hire another transportation company its annoying to have to wait hours for transportation due to the lack of professionalism from this company that tells you to wait for 5… minutes for transportation to arrive but end up waiting for 2 HOURS !!! Its not the first time that this has happened to my grandparents it has been 5 times already so please FIRE THAT COMPANY!!!
