I'm still not sure Andres Center is better than nothing. For some people, I suppose so. However, a place that is only for the poor and will literally only help you by first giving you a diagnosis and no exceptions,… whether you actually have that disorder or not that stays on your medical records for life affecting everything...is ultimately suspect and harmful in my opinion (and in my experience). It is not okay to view the socioeconomically disadvantaged (and often recovering addicts, let's be honest) as guinea pigs for new pharmaceuticals. It is not okay to prescribe antihistamines as sleeping pills/anxiety meds and give amphetamines to kids with no truly thorough evaluation and never offering any kind of therapy/counseling whatsoever. This is NOT harm reduction. I cannot blame the employees themselves as I know they don't make the rules or policies and many are there to reduce harm within a harmful system. And you may luck out and get one of them as a case worker or nurse practitioner. But I wouldn't return there.

I come here for my mental health and the services that they provide help me with counseling and therapy that help me get thru another couple of months they show how much they care by the sessions I attend and I don't… feel judged when I speak wut goes on inside this place definitely helps me to get so much off my shoulders and the medicine they prescribe they make sure to follow up and see how there working its nice 2 have a place with a Dr that doesn't immediately place u in a hospital

Friendly staff, but the menu is too heavily automated. I was seeking mental health treatment, but the menu told me to come in for a mental health screening. It was a waste of time and money. They couldn't even provide… further treatment, just told me I wasn't in a crisis. Pfft.
This place helps with getting you on your mental health insurance and they even help with signing up for disability.
Amazing counseling that is helping my grand daughter. Highly recommend them for anyone needing some counseling.
Emory has good people, unlike mineola where they bring you further down.
