The night time ER doctor was awful! I went in for severe abdominal pain and the doctor asked me one question and then left the room. He didn't do a physical exam on me, didn't listen to my chest, nothing! He ordered an… XRay, CT scan, blood work, and urine test. He said they all came back negative and sent me home. The pain kept getting worse, so I went to a free clinic. The urine test they did was positive for an infection. It had only been one full day since I went to the ER too. It was the worst hospital I've ever been to!
My daughter came in by ambulance for severe diarrhea and vomiting. Was given iv in ambulance but when she got to er she was told there were no beds and left in the lobby for over 6 hours and still counting as of 2:10am… as I'm writing this with no help in sight. This is not acceptable.
My dad had a stroke and was here for 2 days. Dr. Cenac was great, and the nurses and therapists were all wonderful.
Long wait and wasn't given the correct medication dosage! Doctors really don't seem to care here!
Do not send elderly loved ones here they do not care for them at all they gave my grandmother with heart issues soda they didn't care for her properly in general and that same day I found out they give her soda I find… out she had a heart attack awful care avoid this place she's being transported somewhere she'll hopefully be treated and taken care of right
Brought my aunt from Rock Creek in to the ER and the immediate care she was shown/given was heartwarming. Rochelle took her information then Katie the intake nurse was like superwomen. Her professionalism and ability to… multitask considering the circumstances was so impressive. Lynnae the bedside nurse rushed in with Amara and other professionals to prep and run tests. After Dr Holders brief but efficient visit Christina took over for Lynnae then Linda and David swiftly grabbed the x-rays. Sue politely retrieved my aunt for a scan. Everyone was amazing! Highly recommend this place and the night staff.Thank you for showing you care and assisting in my aunts recovery! (Also still waiting on the pizza)
Dr. Goldman is by far one of the BEST doctors we’ve encountered while on this unexpected medical journey. She’s dedicated, educated, caring and persistent. She goes above and beyond to ensure our needs are met and that… we understand the what and why for chosen treatments. Although busy, she genuinely takes time to listen and doesn’t rush appts. Absolutely love her!!
Worst hospital in all of northeast Ohio! I wouldn't bring my dog here!
On December 20th I fell on the ice at home. My wife took me ARMC ER. I was immediately seen diagnosed with broken ribs and ruptured spleen Life flighted to Hillcrest hospital. Excellent care and concern through the… ordeal!!
Everyone was extremely nice, helpful and professional
Went ER on saturday over an hour wait and then wasn’t taking seriously on my side effects - On top of the Fifth Floor doctor didn’t mention horrible side effects of my meds on shot - Could get it together be nice Every… time i have come for my mental health upstairs they are amazing only reason for the 2 stars ER could use a help or two of not being disgusted when i show up like sorry for being a bother in my time of need
If I could give zero stars I would this hospital has always been terrible and will never change the staff is rude and doesn’t care my grandmother was in the icu and she threw up on herself and was incapable of cleaning… herself the nurse walked in looked at her rolled her eyes and walked out afterwords I started cleaning her up and the nurse came back in multiple times ignoring that and when I had first got there they left her unattended eating a muffin witch she was not capable of doing because her hands were so swollen she was just smashing the muffin in her face also want to add that the bedside call button wasn’t working and everytime her iv bag went out they would leave it beeping for 30-45 minutes unattended and this week my grandfather was admitted and they said nothing was wrong we took him to Geneva and they found an pneumonia right away and a uti acmc is a disgrace to hospitals and their workers are also complete trash I hope someone closes this place seems like there’s pretty much only 1 stars sad that people that are trusted to take care of our loved ones are such incompetent people with no passion for others well being
Good morning, I drive people to medical appointments to over 24 facilities in the NE Ohio area. Ashtabula County Medical Center is rated one of the lowest patient care and patient services facilities,I believe. Looking… at doctors available in the area to parking and computer communications with other facilities and even within their own facility. They are going thru a major build and ad on and up grades in many places thru out the facility. Parking for patients is horrible. Now they are offering free valet parking. I was told to boost patient usage of the facility. Bathroom up grades that are not upgrades for patient well-being. You still have to touch everything,no non touch controls. If you go to Lowes, they have that stuff,Ashtabula County Medical Center is not concerned in patient safety or care in my book . Even rest areas in the State of Ohio have no touch facilities? Drive to the Cleveland area for your health needs! Your life and well-being are worth the drive.
I give my appreciation and thanks for the great care I received in the ARMC ER , the hospital, and in the surgery unit. This was over the holiday time, and a very busy place every day I was there. Filled beds in both ER… and the hospital, but still received top notch medical support all week!
All the doctors and all the nurses at Ashtabula Ohio Hospital are very professional and they truly care about you thank you so much for helping me get on with my life
Many thanks to 5 North, security and the er team, they are an amazing group of people and have ears that listen. I won't forget their kindness shown to me.
I went there a month ago. With a case of jock itch. They just looked for a moment. And gave me a perception for ointment they were more worried if they could hang other things on me it seems. Well $1000.00 later. A… month later. . Still the same thing going on . If not worst all in a 10 minute visit. Vary bad help place...
My experience during my 3 day stay was positive. The staff is friendly and professional. They work together to make a positive working environment. I will definitely be recommending ARCM for any medical needs.
To be treated so horribly is beyond words. This hospital is covering up for their worker, unless they just actually have no clue whom they have working for them. A female came busting through my daughter's room door… after surgery as I was walking her into the bathroom, Shakey and all and accused me, my grandson and his fiance of smoking in the room saying it's going down the hall. We told her no one is smoking in this room and she continues to yell at us. Ummm excuse me, I don't know who you think you are but you're lucky I was helping my daughter in the bathroom. Not one apology and they have no clue who she is, the hospital says. Which now concerns me even more, if they have no clue who's working on their floor, how are they doing business?
Misdiagnosed and mistreated epilepsy, sent me to Cleveland having a widow maker and died twice on the way.
Been sick over a month..chest pains and tightness shortness of breathe. Not one doctor seems to expedite anything. Worst care ive ever been given. They just want you to die
10/29/2025 8pm Went in to ER with severe shortness and heart palpitations. No one listened to my lungs or heart. 2 nurses asked about my medications but when they heard that I had "alot", they decided that they did not… need to document them. The doctor never asked for my medical history or listened to my heart or lungs. I was told my labs are fine, my chest xray is fine, my EKG is fine, my CT of the head is fine, given meds to lower my blood pressure and discharged. I still had severe shortness of breath, almost fell 2x while leaving due to dizziness. I felt the same as when I went in. This is wrong on so many levels that it crosses a line. In response to your reply about calling your ombusman: I'll have my attorney call your ombudsman.
The lazy doctors sent my friend home when he wasnt even making any sense when he talked after some bad seizures do yourself a favor and find a real Dr to see
The worst hospital I've been to. Staff is careless and rude
