Veterans Rehab Centers in Ohio

Veterans in Ohio looking for help with alcohol or drug use have several ways in: VA health care, VA community care, TRICARE for those who still qualify, and Ohio Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance for veterans outside the VA system. The listings here cover substance use and co-occurring mental health care, not vocational rehab or veterans homes.

Ohio programs that report veterans services are found mostly in towns, with 59% in town settings and 33% in urban areas. Common questions about Veterans Rehab

Answered from what is listed here.

Where are veterans rehabs in Ohio?

Listings for veterans rehab in Ohio cluster in Marion, followed by Dayton, Hamilton, Whitehall and Lima. Larger cities nearby include Columbus, Dayton and Akron, which can matter for families traveling to visit or for veterans who want treatment close to work, a VA appointment or relatives across the state.

Rehab Centers in Marionhttps://rehabseekers.com/locations/us/ohio/marion-oh/
Can I use Ohio Medicaid for veterans rehab?

Ohio Medicaid is accepted by nearly all of the rehabs for veterans in Ohio, and coverage runs through the plan a member is enrolled in, such as CareSource Ohio, Buckeye Community Health Plan or Molina Healthcare of Ohio. Confirming the plan with the admissions team comes first.

Rehab Centers in Ohio That Accept Ohio Medicaidhttps://rehabseekers.com/locations/us/ohio/ohio-medicaid/
Are there veterans rehabs near a river in Ohio?

Olentangy River, West Branch Mahoning River and Mad River lead the waterways named near veterans rehabs in Ohio. Nearly all of the rehabs for veterans in Ohio sit within 25 miles of a river, at a median of about 8.2 miles from the nearest one.

Veterans who value weekend time outdoors can ask intake staff whether a riverside park or trail is a short drive away, since distances are measured from each listed facility.

Rehab Centers Near Rivershttps://rehabseekers.com/attractions/rivers/

How can veterans in Ohio get addiction treatment through the VA?

Veterans in Ohio can get addiction treatment through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by enrolling in VA health care and then asking a VA primary care or mental health provider for a referral for substance use disorder care. Enrollment can be started online, by phone or at any VA location, and having discharge papers ready helps.

Four VA health care systems with medical centers serve the state, based in Chillicothe, Cincinnati, Dayton and Cleveland, home of the Northeast Ohio system. Columbus is served by a VA outpatient care center rather than a full medical center.

VA care is health care, not an insurance plan. A private program can only bill the VA when the VA has authorized community care first, which usually happens when drive-time or wait-time standards cannot be met or a needed service is not offered nearby.
