BestSelf Behavioral Health – Hamburg Detox and Rehab Services

BestSelf Behavioral Health – Hamburg appears on the register for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

BestSelf Behavioral Health – Hamburg Address, Location and Contact Information

BestSelf Behavioral Health – Hamburg is located at 140 Pine Street in Hamburg, New York, 14075. Hamburg sits in Erie County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.

I would recommend this place, as a first timer seeking council I was very nervous as to if I would receive proper treatment, and I can say I am my councilor is super understanding and patient with me taking my small… step at a time to adjust 🙏🏽❤️

They were charging us co-pays for my daughter's counseling services, after speaking to my insurance company I found out that there should be no co-pays. We've been trying for months to get this rectified and not only… did they not return our money, they keep charging us co-pays. When we try to call, we're just given the run around with the billing dept, I just spoke to someone with a very thick Indian accent named Third, who said he was transferring me to a supervisor but me just put me back in the queue. They are dealing with people who are mentally not well, this is enough to push me over the edge, and I'm not even a patient, how do they get away with this nonsense?

My adolescent daughter is a client. Had to switch providers twice due to difficult communication but currently lover her current provider. My daughter's counselor has very little knowledge and is difficult. She cannot… treat or provide counseling or therapy to adolescents. Whether due to lacknof knowledge base, experience or just plain stupidy, we have had to involve the facility supervisor. We have just switched to an entire new location. I, myself am a licensed provider, and therefore i understand what constitutes as professional and appropriate care. My concern is for clients and parents who lack knowledge of appropriate care an place trust with this facility to provide mental health care for their lived ones. I wouldn't recommend this particular facility or staff to anyone. The turnover of staff should show that they have administrative issues if they cannot keep consistent staff. The intake process is atrocious. The stacks of paperwork could easily be completed ahead of time but require parents to sit for hours completing with a secretary, not even a professional. I am in the process of completing an inquiry with the NYS health dept and board of ethics due to gross incompetence by my daughters counselor. Staff is not qualified to provide competent care. If anyone wants to learn more from me, please just reach out and i will share the details.

Save your receipts if you go here! They will bill you for copayments that you had already paid over 6 months ago! Look for a real therapy provider for your family and not a “chain” facility like this is.

I called to reschedule an appointment, I spoke with a Jennifer (Hamburg) in the counseling intake department and she was so condescending on the phone. For a place that deals with the mental health she should learn some… personal skills. I will be looking for another place to take my son.

Nicole has done a wonderful job with my grandson. So much patience love and understanding. She has an awful lot of insight into a child's true feelings and greatly sympathizes having a child being able to speak to… someone who is totally neutral without influx from Mom or Dad is so important. Nice job Nicole

They force drug testing. I mean, when it wasn't court ordered? They said they would kick me out if I didn't do it. They used and took a avantage of my broken family. To make money They had council sessions with my… parents without me there. Then they chatted manipulate to situation. And try to move to talk about things that. I wasn't even therefore, but yet. They punished me and forced me to pay a 170 to $200 a month. When I had no job because I had a police investigation on me. And they were saying that was my mental illness with paranoid delusions. Now the cops and the state that there was an investigation on me but yet. Still can't press charges. There's no lawyer will take the case. So civil suit here we go

i went in to do paperwork which went fine. first appointment had to get cancelled for very valid reasons concerning another patient of theirs so that wasn’t a problem and they were very apologetic. went in the next week… for my first appointment. she couldn’t see me again for a MONTH. i figured maybe that was normal so i waited it out. next appointment was may 24. now they can’t see me until july. don’t accept new patients if you can’t fit them on a realistic schedule. we’re coming to you for weekly/biweekly help (usually). not monthly/bimonthly.

I know it's hard to find therapy for teens, but do NOT bring your child here. They have no room to even see your child, and when they do, they will cancel your appointment without your knowledge. Then when you request a… new therapist after that happens, the "manager" will completely ghost you and your CHILD is left hanging. It's not worth it. Stay away.

The worst place ever. The receptionist literally laughed at me when I called because of an ongoing issue. She thought I was on hold. The counselor I saw was horrible and made me worse. She didnt focus at all on the… issues I came in for. They also lied about having an ED specialist and when I asked to speak to them they said I didn't have an ED which goes against years and years of what I have been dealing with. Just because they didn't want to admit that they didn't have an ED specialist. I tried to get a new counselor and they couldn't find one for me. They never answer the phone and when they do they laugh in your face. Don't go here if you need actual help.

Alarming lack of empathy. The administrative end was a mess. The offering was a one size fits all program. Follow it or be treated with apathy and Passive aggression.

I was asked to leave the building because I had a pocket knife even though I’ve been going there for six months. with that same pocket knife. I never heard from my counselor again and when I called the building I got… the runaround And the worst part they stole my $20 co-pay they wouldn’t give it back. This is the Walmart of Mental health care. If you wanna get better DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

I would like to come out and say that today was my last day of counseling with Michael, and I can’t stress to anyone how phenomenal it was to have such a great counselor that offered help whenever it was needed. After… reading other reviews, I can promise others that the experience is nowhere near as negative as stated. It’s quiet, comfortable and without a doubt a very nice office with even nicer staff. It’s sad to see such a great place get such negative reviews, I love it to death and there’s no changing my mind about that. I was informed that it may take some time until another spot becomes available, so with patience, you will get a counselor suitable to your needs! I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for mental health counseling!!

How are you even excepting new patients? We waited 3 weeks for evaluation. Didn't really think too much of it as maybe evaluations are backed up or whatever. But then after the evaluation we waited 2 weeks before we… actually had to call and find out what's going on and we're told up to 4 months for even the first counseling session! Obviously you are way overbooked and should not be taking on new patients but actually caring for the ones you currently have.

I will never recommend this group. I took my then 3 year old for behavior therapy and while the first part of the process was great. But for the second part they wanted me to lock him in a closet when he wouldn't listen
