Border Region Behavioral Health Center – Laredo Address, Location and Contact Information
1500 Pappas Street, Laredo, Texas, 78041 is the address held. The city lies within Webb County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

As a former patient, this place only cares about money. I’ve experienced negative stigma from Crisis Counselor Abby. Even though I lost by dad and lived my entire life without my mom, Crisis Counselor Abby said I was… spoiled and said it was my choice if I was depressed. There are good staff here. My favorite counselor was Roxy. They would also switch case workers every couple months so I would have to constantly re-explain my situation to a stranger. It would’ve been nice to have one commited case manager. I just wanted to express the stigma I’ve experienced with Crisis Counselor Abby. She’s not someone I could confide in or talk to. Supposedly she comes from a harsh Military/Prison background, one that I don’t think blends well with working with children. I’ve had a lot of lost in my life at an early age for her to tell me I don’t have a reason to be depressed. With her I didn’t feel entitled to my own feelings. I would always hear negative things about CAPS. A friend‘s mom worked here before and she even said the place was bad. This place’s goal isn’t to get people better, but keep patients enrolled for as long as possible to keep the funding. I would recommend going to Pilar or any other private practice. The counselors at Pilar had more of a positive impact on me and I wasn’t with them for years on end like I was at CAPS.
horrible service the front desk ladys ate are rude no manners
Very kind and they help you with whatever situation you're going through.
It’s been a month I haven’t went to my case manager. I’ve been suffering mental health problems for 5 1/2 years. From meds to changing doctors, to the children clinic to adult clinic. Depression and anxiety only gotten… worse. Case manager has been changed and never returned. Also never felt a connection with him. Worst advice: “forgive the people that did you wrong” HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT?! IVE BEEN HURT AND BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGED OF MANY TIMES!! also Been canceling appointments due that he’s not here and replacement isn’t available. This is my personal experience, some vary but honestly… this place needs better staff, respect and service. 🙄
⚠️ DEAR HARMONY PARENTS, PLEASE READ ⚠️ Our family reached out to Border Region Behavioral Health Center because my younger sister was struggling emotionally after ongoing bullying issues connected to Harmony Public… Schools. Instead of feeling supported, we left feeling frustrated, pressured, and unheard during one of the hardest moments our family has faced. We felt like the focus became insurance and placement rather than truly understanding what my sister was going through emotionally or helping our family feel supported through the crisis. We were told certain things about treatment and costs that later became confusing, and the overall experience added more stress to an already painful situation. My mom loves her child deeply, and I would encourage other parents to research all options carefully, ask detailed questions, and advocate strongly for their children before agreeing to send them far away from home and family support. No family should feel this overwhelmed while trying to get help for their child. The system failed our kids
The staff were very friendly, but there was no help for children with autism.
VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, CASE WORKER NEVER RETURN CALLS BACK AND DON'T EVEN HELP WITH THE PATIENT'S NEEDS. PEOPLE WHO WORKS THERE ARE JUST THERE FOR A PAY CHECK NOT BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE KIND HEART TO HELP THE PATIENT.
I wanted to schedule an appointment with a doctor and was told to renew my services with my case worker, but she never answers the phone. Case worker is always conveniently occupied with other patients whenever I tried… calling every day.
Staff is very nice and supportive i’ve never been abused either so 5 stars+
My son has been on treatment here because of his aggressiveness. but no change. Recently had a visited by a member named TIM from this ' clinic , but seems like my got more aggressive. My son's name is Joseph Adams… September 10 1990
Impossible to reach anyone.
I recently visited Border Region hoping to reestablish care for my ongoing mental health needs after some time away. Due to the nature of my job, it can be difficult to take days off, which delayed my ability to return… sooner. I spent nearly five hours across two separate appointments (April 21, then April 28) completing intake questionnaires, answering identical mental health surveys (how many times are you going to ask me if I am hallucinating?), and speaking with multiple staff members. While I appreciate the courtesy shown by the staff during my visits, I left disappointed and frustrated by the inefficiency of the process. After investing significant time and sharing personal health information, I was informed that I still would not be able to speak with a prescribing provider for another month and a half. It was particularly disheartening that there was no clear communication at the start regarding the multiple steps and long delays involved. The last time I visited, April 21, I was told that on my next scheduled visit I'd speak with both an intake worker and a psychologist. This did not happen. I spoke only with a lady in a cubicle, then waited 4 hours to speak with a lady in a small room. Additionally, the suggestion to call daily for possible cancellations felt impractical and added to my anxiety about receiving essential medications in a timely manner. I hope this feedback can help the clinic revisit its patient intake and communication practices. Those of us seeking mental health support are often doing so at vulnerable times, and clear, compassionate, and efficient care makes a tremendous difference.
You walk in looking for help, and the NP Dr. Boyle has you walking out feeling worse. that's all you need to know. I don't understand how they allow him to keep treating patients this way when he keeps getting… complaints. fire him instantly, he doesn't deserve to work there if he is just gonna make people cry and feel hopeless.
I’ve been going here almost two years and they have taken care of me and r always nice love this place
Absolutely hate it. To me, it feels like there’s not much privacy. This place hasn’t helped me at all, it just made me worse and overwhelmed about having sessions there. I literally cry thinking about going there. It… has made me worsen in mental health, and the workers mentioning about taking me to a mental hospital just makes it even more worse. Overall in general, I don’t feel safe there. At this point I just have to lie to get out of there. They made me and my life worse.
They had me discriminated and stereotyped and then almost locked up because of my Epilepsy, I swear this place is a joke 🌠
Meh
