Care Now Clinic – Newark

Thank you to the amazing staff at Bhp for all the hard work you do saving lives. You guys are always so amazingly kind when i stop in. And special thanks to Austin and Theresa who go above and beyond when connecting… patients to care.

I want to congratulate this place for scaring people away from continuing their mental health journey. I gave 2 stars because they did have some helpful staff, however, consider avoiding this clinic if you have any… complex medical conditions. I came to this walk-in clinic in acute crisis with severe panic attacks and flashbacks. Instead of reviewing my 20-year medical history, the staff took a rushed, surface-level approach. They misdiagnosed my trauma response as bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression, completely missing the mark.Because of this careless assessment, they prescribed heavy antipsychotic medications. These specific medications are highly contraindicated for my preexisting seizure disorder and migraines, creating a dangerous physical risk to my health and forcing me to stop the treatment entirely.To make matters worse, the clinic assigned a counselor who completely lacked trauma-informed boundaries, ignored my concerns, and made the environment feel entirely unsafe. I had to drop this clinic completely to seek safe, competent care elsewhere.This clinic prioritizes fast, chemical "band-aids" over patient safety and real medical history. If you have a history of trauma, seizures, or complex needs, please look elsewhere for your own safety.

I don’t know who answers the phone but the receptionist is very rude. They usually are rude but this time stuck out to me. Whoever answered the phone at 8:58 am on 7/23/26 at the Newark office on messimer was extremely… rude and cut me off and had a messed up tone. They shouldn’t be working in mental health if they’re going to be treating people this way. I know that job is stressful but you shouldn’t be rude to people just trying to seek help.

Its sad that they break up families and try to make one of their own! I promise BHP is the worst place to be for any psychology to be done, you can even ask Jennifer Oh its hard to do what a school has done for you the… psychologist judge. So pretty much want them to stay out of my life and never talk or consult me again. Way to ruin lives folks so stay out of mine!

Horrible waited 2 hrs and half was my turn and waited and waited was there before other people and they called them back , why come here if can’t get treated and keep saying being a couple of minutes, I guess not… important enough so I walked out and left feel not important so I dealt on my own

Front desk staff, sweet and understanding. Counselor, just doing her job asking the basic questions but didn’t give me any real advice. The nurse telehealth took the longest and was actually pretty unprofessional, she… said “if you have a psychiatrist why are you here?” & “I don’t know what you expect from me, follow up with your doctor” Is this not a mental health clinic? There’s also a waiting list for a therapist like there is everywhere, honestly made the day worse and I was helped 0%

They don’t never answer the phone smfh

Im having some mental health difficulties at the moment! Struggling with anxiety and work stress. I called today to see if they accepted my insurance (cigna) and got to talking to the lady for almost an hour. I cant… remember her name but shes an angel! She calmed me down just by having a conversation with me. I will be there tomorrow to talk to someone about managing stress, because I cant do it alone. Lol

People are nice and respectful and its always clean and their friendly and they listen and help ty 😊

Great experience from start to finish and thankful to have a place like this in our town!

If your are experiencing any kind of mental health. This is truly the place you need to be! I went in in tears and came out feeling so much better. I was smiling and laughing. They truly care about your mental health,… and want you to be the best you you can be!

Been trying to get in with them for over 2 weeks now and can't. Just glad I know how serious they really take their job 😂

BHP's CARE NOW CLINIC saved my life. I would have had to wait WEEKS before I was able to get an appointment with someone so I could continue the medication I have been on for 2 months now. But with THE CARE NOW CLINIC,… I was able to get my medicine the very next day. And the staff was very helpful and friendly, also.

Went in at 1245 and the only other person there went back as I was registering. Once I registered, I sat in the waiting room for an hour becoming increasingly uncomfortable with how many people came in. Ended up leaving… because I wasn’t getting the help I needed. Called the main office today and the lady was rude telling me “it’s a walk in clinic, what did you expect?” I expected to be helped in a moment of crisis but they apparently don’t care about that.

Waste of my time, I was put on hold immediately, without being able to state anything. Then waited for almost 10 mins on hold. Just to be told what the other center said was not true. Thank you for adding even more… stress to my life, AND NOT BEING A SAFE SPACE.

Was really having a hard time dealing with work stress and grief. I went to the clinic and got immediate help. I was able to be referred to continued therapy at BHP. This place literally saved my life. If I never need… emergency care, I now have access to the Care One Clinic Downtown. Thank you for the wonderful, kind and understanding staff.

Took a family member here who is in crisis, it was 4:30, their hours are until 5. The doors were locked, they wouldn't answer the phone and there were people inside that saw him. I am saddened that this has happened and… pray that my family member still seeks help after being turned away.
