I have been sober for 28 years and still attend AA meetings. I was sent there by my lawyer after getting a DUI. I didn’t want to stop drinking but did. I loved the group therapy sessions. After I was done with all the… requirements of VASAP, the DUI was reduced to Reckless Driving. I have been grateful to Mr. Casselton all these years. My happiness started when I began living alcohol-free. Now I’m a licensed counselor there!
These people do not care about the well being Or progress of their clients at all. It is all about money. With a health pandemic happening and unemployment higher than ever before you would expect people in the… “counseling” field to have compassion and understanding....that won’t happen here. They deserve zero stars.
So, I'll start by saying nobody wants to go here. It's a punishment from the state for getting a DUI. It's expensive and usually you have to go for at least four months. One of the counselors is an absolute jerk. But… most are okay. Most are there with a genuine desire to help people get sober. Best thing to do if you have to go there is just make all your meetings and get it done with.
Meh.. If you musy attend. I guess there could be worse options. I wouldn't know.
