Community Assessment and – Wadsworth Detox and Rehab Services
The provision listed at Community Assessment and – Wadsworth is residential treatment, intensive outpatient and sober living. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.
Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Transitional accommodation appears on the record for the period after intensive treatment. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Had great experience at summa Wadsworth I checked in and was seen not even three minutes later quick in and started working and quick out best Er experience i ever encountered thank you guys you're the best 👍🏿
Was here for colonoscopy of family member.
I was at the hospital on 6/25/26for surgery. I can tell you I was never treated so well. The hospital staff was A+. Dr. Logan Mellert and his staff A+.I would highly recommend both the hospital and Dr. Mellert. Thank… You All. David W
Edit to add again (6/28/2026) Came here to inform others to NOT GO HERE. MOST OF THESE HIGHER RATINGS ARE EITHER FAKE (by staff members or their family) OR NOT FOR THE ER. ER IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NEGLIGENT.… Save yourself the trouble and go literally ANYWHERE ELSE. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND If I could give them a 0, I would. Their night staff last night (minus the cleaning lady) was awful. They treated me so poor, I felt like a prisoner. I will never go back, even if my life depended on it. Edit to add*** I was 2, almost 3 months pregnant the time I went there. They twisted my words, pink slipped me (saying I was suicidal), denied me water, took away my call light button, took away pillows and blankets (a cleaning lady gave me a freshly dried blanket), and took away my belongings. They told me I would be escorted by the police if I tried to leave. They transferred me to St. Thomas. The EMTs, psychiatric doctors, and St. Thomas staff all agreed that this hospital made a big mistake. I initially went in because I was so dehydrated from getting morning sickness. I needed help feeling better. This hospital is truly pointless. They don't do anything for you. If your life was in danger, whether you cut your finger off or need pink slipped, they transfer you out. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR YOURSELF.
Excellent!!!
Great staff very professional good Doctor Mc Mahon
This hospital is racist and the way my son was treated was completely unacceptable. My son came in through the ambulance and this hospital is very racist and the way my son was treated was completely unacceptable. He… was in severe pain during a medical flare-up and instead of helping him, the staff were rude, dismissive, discharged him, and threatened to call the police if he didn’t leave. No one should be treated this way while trying to get medical care...I do not recommend this hospital at all and they have a history of being racist...the nurses and doctors in the emergency department was all rude and racist and this needs to be shared
Very clean, updated and professional.
The only stressful part of the day was the volunteer at the check-in desk, she literally cannot hear a single thing without having to almost scream a response. I had to yell my name repeatedly , what I was here for and… what doctor I was seeing which made me very uncomfortable because it was nobody’s business in the waiting area what I was having done. That aside, I prefer this hospital over other summa locations. Same day surgery Staff is nice and attentive to my health conditions. Jeremy from anesthesia is great and did a nice job finding my veins( I’m an extremely difficult stick) and for the most part was pain free. Same day surgery is great but that volunteer should be doing something else.
Currently sitting in the ER with my wife. Came in about 9pm on this Monday night. Never had such friendly staff and nurses. Made this ER visit as pleasant as possible. Thank you!
Nurse yesterday was very rude, I couldn't barely walk from my neuropathy and she never offered me a wheelchair to me, er doctor told me she couldn't help me out no equipment to test me, gave me a pain pill and set me on… my way, I was also there few weeks ago was diagnosed with Achilles tendonitis and seen podiatry surgeon and she said that was false..all the good doctors and nurses are no longer here.. Different people currently...I don't recommend this hospital to anyone!!! What happened to our medical treatments in America after COVID-19 pandemic!!!???? Not a happy patient.. Beware of this in the future folks!!
In and out quickly
On 10/16 I went to the ER via ambulance. I wasn't eatting
Their ER department is shit!!! My daughter took my granddaughter there a week ago because she was throwing up green bile. They did Nothing. No xrays, no ultrasound. The staff said, " she was feeding her to much." They… sent her home. Good thing she didnt listen to them and went to Akron Children's hospital. My granddaughter was rushed in to emergency surgery there. My granddaughter almost died because of the negligence of the ER at this hospital. You guys need to do better. Do Not Go Here for anything.
Family member was just in the er. They told her she had a uti. She went to her Dr who looked over her results from the hospital and turns out she was actually at the beginning stages of renal failure and the Dr.… couldn’t believe the er did misdiagnosed her like that. Thanks summa. You suck.
The ER has unpleasant staff that put in little attention to detail. Several medical errors were made by staff during my time there. They behave like you’re inconveniencing them because you showed up with a medical… crisis. If you’re able, go anywhere else.
Night shift ER nurses were so kind and professional when my boyfriend was sent. I’m so grateful to them for all they did for us!! 5 stars! Those girls made this ER my favorite one in the area!!
You will get charged for visit and the another charge for being patient
Was sent by a Dr at an urgent care for an ultrasound. Long story short I left and went to another hospital. Won’t go back, they had no idea…
Very poor facility, does not honor appointment times. Dont scedual appointments so close togeather if you need more time. Dr. Kousaie was wonderful and acknowledged summa sceduals way too many appointments. Summa should… be ashamed that they over book without concern for the patients time.
Went there tonight. Had an abscess boil. Great people helping me. Very informative and pleasant. Thank you
I came to Summa Wadsworth Rittman yesterday for arthroscopic knee surgery with Dr. Rabe. I've had multiple surgeries for multiple reasons over the years, but this was by far one of the best experiences I've had in a… surgical center. From my nurse Ariel to the anesthesiologist and her assistant, the doctor and all the staff in recovery. They actually made the time before surgery, lighthearted and fun so I was relaxed. The aftercare to manage my pain was excellent. They made sure I had someone with me to explain my aftercare and went over it with me to make sure I understood as well. All my meds were called in and ready before I even got out of surgery. My instructions were all printed out for review when I started feeling better. I follow up and PT appointments were made before surgery as well. Could not have asked for a better process. I love Summa
Me and my husband came here for our hair drug test , very good service, very nice people, one girl name Rosmery, good service, recommend this place 👍 Summa health is best hospital 👍
Went to the ER yesterday 10/9/24 after self released myself from Medina ER. The staff at Summa ER were fantastic. Was treated with respect and compassion. Addressed my high BP and did all the proper testing and was on… my way in 90 minutes. Thank you to Dr. John's and the nursing staff for a smooth evening after the disaster at Medina ER. Wish Summa kept the ER in Medina we need a second ER so bad.
Emergency room staff was very disrespectful and was not very informative about what was going on with my husband. If not for the quick time in getting my husband in to the ER I would never come to this ER again.
Went to ER on Saturday about 12:30. No one at the desk so rang buzzer 3 times as I was bleeding rather badly. Finally, 15 minutes later someone came out. She acted like I was bothering her. I had already filled out the… questionnaire. After waiting another 45 minutes and still had 2 people ahead of me, I left a note because no one was at the desk again, that I was going to Medina Hospital. Medina Hospital ER had 2 check in people and they took me immediately where I was given excellent care and 9 stitches. I’ve lived in Wadsworth 40 years and the care at this hospital has really deteriorated.
Thank you to the two amazing staff members that got me through my MRI. Kim and another younger guy did a fantastic job when it came to my anxiety. Truly grateful
