Alternative Paths Inc – Medina Detox and Rehab Services
The register shows Alternative Paths Inc – Medina providing detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.
Only one side is on record here, so ask directly if both are needed. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Alternative Paths Inc – Medina Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 246 Northland Drive in Medina, Ohio, 44256. This address falls in Medina County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

This facility is outstanding!! They have helped me from the beginning! Dr. Theresa Roberts is the best! Very understanding and supportive!!!
If i could give negative I would. The only redeeming quality is the staff who gets you checked in. I had been coming here for over ten years. When I had an issue with my doctor they refuse to let me change who I see… (even if I had never requested this before). And then my counselor i had been seeing for two or three months quit and I had to wait three months to here back about getting a replacement. Trust me just try online. I got connected with a new doctor and counselor in less then a month.. These people are really awful to mental health patients dont come here.
Failure to conform to professional standards has dropped them to a lower quality standard of mental healthcare, don't come here if you hear from word of mouth cause they haven't had the time to Experience their "care"
AP has helped me in so many ways!! Megan in the Brunswick office has literally been a life saver. Beth has connected me with so many resources and has helped make it possible to further my education. I am great full to… have found such an amazing place that can help me get through life while maintaining my mental health. Thank you to all the staff at AP!!
Easy to book, care about the whole person and have multiple resources in one facility, recommend to others.
I have felt very cared for and think Megan is fantastic. The office staff are lovely.
I have been with alternative paths for quite a few years and I think this place is wonderful! I was in counseling with my first and while he is fantastic, the interactions I got was not for me and I had to change to a… wonderful woman, Megan. She has helped me in so many ways. Giving me the honest trust, regardless if it may make me angry or not is what I have always needed. A different perspective on certain situations that doesn't sugar coat for your feelings. We get to the root of my issues instead of playing loopty loop. I cannot appreciate you enough Megan!!!! Keep up the AMAZING work!!
I love my therapist and the EMDR techniques I have learned are helping my quality of life tremendously!!
Very loving people. So helpful
Trash place ran by trash people. They tried saying that I'm not sober because I'm on methadone lmao, you people are foul. They offer nothing if your a heroin addict that's in pain. Screw this place royally if you want… real help and to feel good because you deserve to feel good go to a methadone clinic "Cms". It saved my life all alternative paths will do is try to get you on Suboxone which does absolutely nothing for pain whatsoever, and foreal what type of mental health facility doesn't have anybody that can treat PTSD, are you some type of slow or something, pretty sure you have to be. Good riddings. Call my phone again and we're going to have serious issues. BET
Misfiled my paperwork twice for FMLA.
Dr. Ryan Bednar is an excellent physician who really cares for my well being. He and the nursing staff go above and beyond to ensure I get the latest breakthrough medicine and when it is unaffordable they make sure to… find a way to make it affordable through any number of ways. We are really grateful for their services.
Dr. Nicole Labor is here on Monday’s and is WONDERFUL!! If you are wanting to stay sober and be guided down the RIGHT path for your recovery, she is definitely who you want to see!
Alternative Paths gave me the insight and coping skills to use during times of anxiety and life stresses.Dennis White was knowledgeable and easy to talk to.Highly recommend.
Denis was amazing helpful and understanding
Dennis White was always up front with me! He's very good at pointing out my insecurities and faults! He always had subjects at group meetings that brought up a lot about my alcoholism. Our topics in group always taught… me quote a bit about this disease! I'd like to thank Dennis for enlightening me to how this disease progresses and how it affects my feelings, thoughts and behavior! I also learned to use me and I instead of you and them!Thank you very much!
AP has been great! I really connect with Megan at the Brunswick office. She has helped me tremendously. With her help I hope to continue on my path to better mental health!
They've been very helpful with managing my depression
My daughter receives services at Alternative Paths. Both Ryan and Elizabeth are great. They show genuine compassion and a real desire to help her. I highly recommend.
I've been in AP treatment since July. The team is thoughtful and the medication works for me. Less anger, less depression, better sleep and fewer nightmares.
Dr. Ryan is the BEST! This place saved my life and helped me start a new one. I owe it all to them.
I seen a counselor there and she was awesome. She has since left, and I didn't follow her but she was very helpful
Ryan Bednar was my mom's psychiatrist for a couple of years. He would constantly switch her medicine, every visit he would have her on a new med. "Oh, this one is newly approved".... He used my mom as a guinea pig and… to get bonuss for pushing new medicine. He is very obviously in this industry for money and not because he cares for the well being on his patients. My mom had been slowly declining mentally. After he yelled at her and told her "I can't fix everything for you" (after having her on a cocktail of medicines), taking her off of her meds for a blood test, her being in the psych ward twice we switched psychiatrists. Come to find out, it was a simple misdiagnosis that was fixed after ONE visit with the new psychiatrist. YEARS of my mom barely getting by. Years of her begging him to listen and not just throw her on the newest med out there. She was being treated for the wrong thing. On top of that, he had her on multiple sleeping meds. The new psych switched to one med that actually works because why have her on two that aren't working? I would not recommend sending your family here. He does not care about the well being of your loved ones if he finds them to "exhausting" And Ryan, your "problem" patient was only a problem because of YOU. YOU made her worse than she ever was.
So I’ve been here before and it was good but I eventually stopped going and then tried to call and schedule a new appointment and they said they’d call me back so I called again eventually and they said the same thing… as last time and then gave me a phone number to call someone named October and it’s been weeks and still haven’t heard anything so I honestly think they don’t really care about helping people only in it for the money at the end of the day.
