Community Medical Services – Milwaukee Detox and Rehab Services
Treatment at Community Medical Services – Milwaukee covers intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask what the assessment recommends before comparing anything else. Waiting times vary, so it is worth asking at the first call.

Hello I am considering transferring to this location. But am confused over opening time for dosing. Is this location open at 4am like the front door shows on pictures here? Or is it 430am?
I love how they take care of u
I am very grateful for this facility & all the people/staff that are apart of my treatment team!! Everybody is wonderful! Thank you!!
They are one of if not the best facility in Milwaukee from the staff to the clinic it's self Trying to get back admitted in asap ,can anyone tell me if theyre taking patients new/old again ? Please let me know I greatly… appreciate it 😌🙏🏾❤️❤️
Places that offer mat or more commonly known as moud treatment are considered the gold standard in treatment. I was addicted to opiates, opioids, then oxy… unfortunately then heroin. I unknowingly was a part of an… epidemic. I survived the pandemic and I also survived and lived through a hell I would like to call addiction for 13+ years. If I can do it then so can you. I got help and stopped 1/7/20. Shortly thereafter… 9months to be exact. I relapsed in Sept until 4/2022 and I almost died from being forced by medical “professionals “ to good turkey. I relapsed less than 5 months later and went to the clinic in 8/2024. Been there ever since and I am so grateful
Always on point 😎
This entire place is great! I would shout out Mark as the greatest counselor ever! Melissa and Riley are the most amazing people! They are the best and I absolutely love them! Greatest employees ever!
I love the nurses there they treat you with respect and care for your well being I go early in the morning .
thanks for handling that matter. I’ve changed my review from 1 star to 5 :)
Staff and counselors are great. They are compassionate and want to see you succeed.
This place saved my life . People need to learn patients in recovery and understand the nurses only move as fast as they can thank you cms
Best place for treatment in my opinion hands down staff is awesome nice atmosphere highly recommend this place
Jessica hruzek here to say thank you for the patience people can be terribly inpatient and rude I'm talking about the patients not staff. Let me say one thing if you have to wait for you dose people it's not the end of… your life you will receive it. It pathetic how people still carry such addictive behaviors. I want to say Dr Dan is the best doctor by far I live Sandra,Milton, I love all the nurses tho I do just can't think of every name of top of my head. Just grow patience in life it will show self control and also respect Patient 1646
Source: 7 years attending cms, most reviews below are going to be from mostly short term attending clients. I wish I had good things to say about cms but after almost 7 years of attending 7 years of sobriety off opiates… I wish i had some great experinece with them I AM SOBER INSPITE OF CMS NOT BECAUSE OF THEM. I can give u detail horror stories of mutiples cms, the panic attacks they caused everytime i have to go in their I try to keep my head down, keep to myself becauseat cms don't get too close to anyone even staff because its just a job to them and you are nothing but a number..Because all the staff knows u are a addict or recovering addict they will hold that above your head and degrade u every chance they get which for a place of Recovery for a lack of a better word is absolutley, disgustinly heartbreaking. Please understand this is one many wildly disappointing stories thats happened to me at cms. I got my number called the nurse calls me back and this same nurse last week had called me back then scolded for me coming to the window even though SHE called me . I had asked her to not call me till she's ready, fast fwd till today when she Calls me back, (simply for asking her not to call me till she ready last time) she is so passively aggressively still mad over me poltiety advocating for myself says nothing to me, I say hello she ignores me, then starts typing on her computer I Wait for my dose she starts filing some UAS I wait, WAIT FOR ANY ACKNOWLEDGMENT that I'm here (only thing I'm trying to do is get dosed continue my sobriety that's all I want, the literal bare minimum cms can do and they even complicated this), she continues on her computer then outloud goes "oh wow 2019" (The year I got sober) she says nothing else obviously implying u been here for awhile as of thats something i should be ashamed of and not proud of? Finally I ask do u want me to come back to get dosed she goes no. Another moment passes she continues to ignore me and not dose me finally I had to go up front and ask for my counselor I told both workers upfront what happened they didn't acknowledge the situation at all but one did message my counselor. Since wisconsin is one party state I do have recording of this in case any of it wants to be denied. I will say when I bring specific issues to the ombudsman he is absolutley wonderful, nips it in the bud and workers who have caused issues like this do no longer work for cms so I know he really does listen and keeps an eye on said employees, but having to complain to a ombudsman everytime there's a issues seems like the issues should just get internally addressed so they don't continue to happen. Cms is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen as they already countless lawsuit against them(Google it) In the beginning I had high hopes for what cms stood for, after attending I understand who they truly are. As I type this I cry not for me but for every recovering and current addict that will go in cms with high hopes but leaves feeling ashamed of themselves when they should have nothing but pride, people who walk in feeling great walk out like I did today wondering if getting sober was worth it when this is the return u get from the only group that's meant to help you with your sobriety. I leave this review for them and for everyone else cms has hurt when they should of helped , for everyone who just wants to be treated equal, for every panic attack they've cause , every tear shed because of their employee politics and favortism of clients and all the trauma they have ever inflicted I leave this review for them
very very friendly staff. wouldn’t complete my recovery anywhere else!
Such a kind and caring staff. Every single person there is awesome. I have never came across any business that I have enjoyed dealing with so much. Keep up the good work you guys and keep up the good fight
They will help you. They will always help you. Just try and get state insurance to avoid paying out of pocket. They can and will save your life if you let them.
I’ve been to almost every CMS In Wisconsin due to moving/sober livings etc. started at another methadone clinic but ended up here. CMS is the only facility that I started to take my sobriety seriously and got sober.… Never thought I’d earn a take home. Couldn’t even understand how people didn’t use long enough to get one. Finally moved to the pewaukee facility and it clicked. Unfortunately not enough people were told about that clinic and it was so hidden off the road people thought it was either a bank or the church - so it closed and many of us had to go back to other facilities- such as here’s (Ctc in Waukesha or CMS in west Allis)- wish they gave it more than a month and asked us patients to help spread the word to keep it open but it is what it is. I find it pretty sad that rather than closing the pewaukee facility and making those of us who got clean (from those I spoke to most of us) because we were no longer in Milwaukee county on top of support from our counselors, and our determination I wish they would have made it mandatory - like many other facilities in Waukesha, that all the CMS patients at west Allis needed to transfer to pewaukee. I am still super happy especially because most of the staff moved over (I miss you nurse Sarah!! :( ) but it’s hard to go back to west Allis, see dope men sitting in their cars, see who’s strung out, etc. especially because even if we didn’t have many of us at pewaukee, that was the one clinic that I saw the most amount of people with take home boxes. Every other patient I remember seeing and talking to looked so healthy, happy, and again had at least one take home. That means something was working there for us. (To me, it was having the smaller amount of patients, we were more directly worked with and could feel the care and support) I hope the people I spoke to that were worried about being back in west Allis make it through those worries and cravings. Sucks to have to drive 20-25 minutes one way again versus my 15 minute walk to pewaukee/ 4 minute drive but again, being phased and not having to come everyday makes it worth it. I just wanted to say, I love CMS period, but I wish they still had those security guards and the line is much longer than I remember it being. But the nurses and counselors and staff are all amazing I just feel like there are too many of us compared to the few amount of them, But can’t win them all. I would always choose CMS over any other clinic, and I love my counselor - even those who aren’t my counselors- (I’m talking about you Yshonda and Jean!) Counselors like them push us to see the best in us. CMS pewaukee was a 100 out of 10 CMS west Allis might not be that high but still 8/10 because of their amazing staff 🖤💔
It's a very nice place and the staff welcomes you plus they actually do care about you
They have the best hours to dose
I truly love all the staff. The doctors and counselors as well as security and the beautiful nurses. Great place they’ve helped me a lot.
I love this place! The nurses are the best especially Sandra! They really care about you. I highly recommend CMS.
Out of all the methadone clinics in Milwaukee. C.M.S is far the best. Recovery is hard but I honestly believe the staff here actually cares about you. There's no judgement and I am treated like a human being. If your… looking for help to get clean this is definitely the place to go. From the nurses, to counselors, to front office staff they are all professional and helpful. Thank you CMS West Allis

I have been to 2 other clinics and this by FAR is the best yet!! Never have to wait!! Which is great!! Every once in a while you might have to wait a minute or 2 but other than that you can usually get right in!! ❤️❤️💐🎉👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Great job y'all!! Keep up the great work!! I have recommended this clinic to many people!! 😁
As a client or patient at CMS, I’ve experienced so much love and respect and help during recovery, from the staff, front counter, nurses, doctors, and of course counseling!!!! And therapists! I highly recommend CMS for… whoever wants to take there recovery serious and to the next step ! Can’t forget security as well, some of the nicest people who care about our facility and protect us and clean everyday!

Great nursing staff, especially Sandra and Julie. Not easy to find people who actually care like them in this industry. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.
