I haven't met 1 nurse that doesn't go above and beyond anytime WERE IN the hospital needing info.to dose or feeling angry or stressed out B4 I get there..by the time I leave the facility I always feel calmer n a lil… more centered.it's always positive fast and convenient.seems like they really get to know u as an individua n genuinely listen 2our problems(not just ur counsllour)THANKYOU & GREATLY APPRECIATED👍
If I could give negative stars I would. This clinic collects insurance deductibles immediately however after dedictable is paid they attempt to keep collecting even though they are being paid by insurance. Getting a… refund takes 6 weeks which is also not acceptable if received at all. This clinic says they care and saves lives when in reality they care only about money and padding their pockets while financially ruining lives that they claim to save. Since the doctor who started the clinic has left it's gone down hill very quickly!!!! I can not wait for my family member to taper off this money making scam... There are so many other MAT options I'd wish people would stop using this option and put these types of so called life savers out of business.
This place uas played a big part in my sobriety. March 28 marks my 1 year of sobriety. I remember walking in those doors the day my son passed away from an asthma attack and telling them that I would not be returning.… Yea, so I thought. That was in 2022. Fast forward August 2024, I decided to take my life back but I was still using and dosing. That is until March 28 2025. I am about a week away from my YEAR of sobriety and I’m telling you guys I would not have been able to do it without this place. They always say how when I first started coming here, I was so mad, so angry. I wouldn’t talk to anyone. Since being sober I walk in ASAP everyday with the biggest smile on my face. Sobriety gives us more than just our life back. I’ve accomplished more things in this year of sobriety then I have in 4 years. This is the best version of myself.
thank you ASAP. You gave me a new look on life. 👍 🙏 I wrestled with the idea of coming into your clinic for nearly a year. I eventually took that first step and a big step it was! Your treatment, approach and… understanding of my addiction was life saving. I was not judged or treated like just another #. I could not have done this on my own. Bless you all.
the positive: -the clinic is clean, well-run, and efficient -very rarely do I ever wait more than a few minutes to dose. -staff are generally helpful and respectful. I'd say nursing staff is especially pleasant and… kind. -location is safe, nice, and easy to get to with plentiful parking -its not corporate the negative: -THE HOURS. worst hours of any clinic ive ever attended. especially on the weekends--9 AM close?? come on. isnt the point to HELP patients and reduce as much as possible any obstacles or potential inconveniences so that they STAY in treatment? -a lack of staff members/counselors who are also in recovery and can relate to and understand clients differently. im not saying personal addiction/recovery experience is a prerequisite for all counselors, but it's hard to really know addiction unless you've been there. unfortunately many medical professionals/counselors/etc. stigmatize addicts and dont realize it. its not malicious or purposeful--its just so ingrained in society its hard to recognize. the ability to connect and confide and open up to someone who knows firsthand what it is like makes a big difference. - generally punitive vibe of the program, rules, requirements, etc.-- bureaucratic control trumps treatment actually based on harm reduction. most if not all of this is due to mandatory outdated policies and regulations required by the state of Wisconsin, but A.S.A.P. definitely isnt trying to push for reform and change--its quite the opposite, in my opinion. policy makers AND treatment programs have the responsibility to put patients first WITHOUT the outdated policies and ridiculous obstacles based on stigma. so yeah. not the best, but not the worst.
If this place stayed open longer I would leave CMS in a ♥ beat.
THIS is what addiction treatment should be!! This clinic should be the example all other treatment facilities model themselves after! For the first time, I feel like a 'patient'.. not a 'drug addict'!! The staff here… truly understands what we are going thru but even more than that, they care!
I've noticed some reviews from people transferring from other states. Unfortunately, we don't have grants here for methadone maintenance, so the financial aspect is going to suck wherever you go. :( and the other… clinics in this state are actually meh compared to asap. I came from a chain clinic, although this adds maybe 5-6 mins to my weekly drive...it's so worth it. Yes they have cameras in the bathroom, but this eliminates the need for a physical person to stand in there with you for observed drug screens (unless something is seen on camera that makes them question what's going on.) the intake process was quoted to be approximately two hours and took three, but that isn't anyone's fault. That is not something I count against them because as soon as one step was done, I waited less than 30 seconds to go to the next step! Other clinics can take way way longer for this. I was a transfer and had intake fee waived, so that might be a normal thing...unsure. They charge the going rate around here if you're self pay. You have a place to put your drug screen so you don't have to wait in line to hand your urine to a staff member. Less waiting! Great check in system utilized! Quick in and out, lovely counselors and nursing staff. What else? Oh! Bottles have foil on top to prevent leaking (totally love this!) also makes it easier for call backs to ensure no diversion is taking place. The doctor..oh the doctor! He was so amazing! He explained things wonderfully and kept me at ease. He's super down to earth and opened the place to take the things he liked from other clinics and leave what didn't work (although some things are non negotiable because of the state/DEA regulations.) if you're suffering at that specific chain clinic, make the switch!! I miss the nurses from my last place, but before long I'll get comfortable here. And my counselor is A+++++!
The only reason I gave it two stars is because most of the people that work there are genuinely good people - but there are other factors at play. One of the nurses is always wiping their nose with their hands and… doesn't use hand sanitizer after, just proceeds to hand you your dosing cup. I should have walked out during my intake when they told me they have videocameras in the bathrooms. They claim to be open until 1 PM but the doors were locked at 12:40. Instead of being forced to go back down to my starting dose, I switched to a different clinic that allowed me to start at the dose I have been on. Not going to risk my 2+ years of recovery for missing only ONE day - despite having perfect attendance otherwise. And technically didn't even miss, they chose not to let me in when I called letting them know I was outside.
I don't even know where to start. This place has saved my life. They gave me hope again. I was at a different clinic before this one and it was HORRIBLE. They broke you down instead of helping you back up. ASAP has been… one of my best decisions. The staff is AMAZING! I can't thank the Dr's, nurses, and my amazing lady Cory! Yes I did the work but they help guide me. I thought I'd be a lifer. I have successfully completed the program and it was bittersweet. I'm so thankful for this place. If anyone reads this review before entering treatment, please go here before any where else. I know alot of people in treatment and hands down ASAP is the best! I have never had any issues here. The whole staff is amazing no matter who you talk to. They don't treat you different like the rest of the clinics in our city. They treat you like a human not a junkie. Which is a major part of our recovery as we beat ourselves down daily but this clinic builds you up and makes you believe in yourself again. Best choice I ever did was leave 10th st to go to ASAP!
If you are serious about recovering and methadone, I recommend this facility. NONE other like it! Thank you to EVERYONE there! I'm a success story thanks to them. Walked out at 0mgs almost 3 years ago and have not… looked back. Professional, caring, trusting and genuine people there. ❤ Shout out to the director 👏!!! *K*
ASAP is better than any other clinic I've ever attended. Counseling is absolutely above every clinic I've ever tried. Also your in and out quickly
THIS is the Best-Damn medication assisted outpatient treatment clinic I've ever had the pleasure,((In all seriousness I wholeheartedly mean this 💯%)) and privilege of attending. PERIOD. |४४्४ऻ४| |👁👁| 👌------( 👃 )------👍… \ 👄 / (_|_)
Incredible clinic! Far superior to any other clinic in Milwaukee. I followed my councilor Dawn Marie here when she transferred. She is incredible as isthe rest of the staff. You will absolutely be advocated for by your… councilors and the doctors listen. Do yourself a favor if you're serious about getting well; and come to ASAP + lowest wait time than anywhere
Hands down THE BEST all-around. Staff, nurses, and doctors all top-notch, always professional, do their best to get you in and make intake as painless as possible. Dosing is quick and hassle-free.
By far the best clinic in the state probably even the whole Midwest. The staff and nurses are all awesome! You can tell that they are trained to deal with people the right way. I would have given up on treatment if I… still had to deal with the ignorance of the other clinics. I owe them my life!
I couldn't be more satisfied
Sober since March 2017; here at ASAP West Allis since January 2021. This is the *FIFTH* Milwaukee-area clinic I've been to since 2006 and it's by far the best. Staff treat you like a REAL LIVE HUMAN BEING: no weird… dysfunction between patients and staff, no condescension directed toward patients from staff, and you'll have the same counselor at your appointments each month. When patients are here, they seem to realize they're not at the Speedway on 9th and Greenfield; rather than congregating outside the clinic after dosing and staying there for an hour (like...why, though?), patients get in their cars and leave. The counselors, doctors, and nurses who work here are truly dedicated. You can just tell. What a breath of fresh air. Who knew an MAT clinic could be so functional and respectful?? Here's to hoping it stays this way! EDIT: I wrote the above review in July 2021; it is now November 2022 and ASAP West Allis is just as wonderful as it was a year and a half ago. Still sober, and I even quit smoking a couple years ago. I readily admit that I could not stay clean without this clinic. When Andrea left a year ago, my counselor change went smoothly (I was assigned Shawana--honestly, they're both great, but I really love Shawana. She's a deeply caring person, and her calm, warm demeanor is such a good antidote to my anxious and neurotic one). ASAP is an absolutely essential asset to Milwaukee's recovery community. END EDIT.
Very friendlyAnd no judgementBest place to get treatment
Want to give better review, for cleanliness. I like the staff. But it felt like there could have been more compassion and better explanation of how taper was going to work, and maybe even a check on how I was doing at… least once or twice during my taper that was for genetic health issues. No aftercare was discussed or vitals checked. I liked it there a lot, but my nausea, and other withdrawal symptoms could have been checked at least a few times to avoid possibility of longer QTc.
I've been going here for a couple months and it's been good. My counselor Taylor is a strong, smart, understanding and sweet girl that has been a great counselor but I am sad to hear tomorrow is her last day. Thank u… for helping me in my journey I hope everything works out for you.
This facility is a breath of fresh air. Just 5 mins in there you will agree. They offer many needs for alot of solutions. Please go here first or last, u will enroll here. I'm so happy to see a calm atmosphere. Hi tech… equipment for efficiency and employees that r not stressed but happy and seem to be a kinda family. I give them 6 stars!
First off, I'd just like to say that I've been to the 10th street clinic as well as the one on 108th national and this clinic (Asap) is by far the best one I been to. Clean, friendly, nothing trashy (stigma of an… addict) about this place. Lots of artwork ...to show that life really can be beautiful. :-)
Okay to make a detailed long story short-I recently transferred to A/S/A/P addiction facility from another clinic(I previously was at 6810 office--43rd & mitchell××CTC owned methodone clinic) which A/S/A/P will be my… third place & hopefully my lasy due to how much I already feel good about this place. I have never been more pleased with a rehab/medical maintained addiction center in my life. The previous place I went to was sadly unprofessional & very under staffed w/so many employee turnovers. This clinic of hope has been more help in the last week & a half then anywhere else!!! I would def recommend this place to anyone seeking help with addiction based issues. Plus the counselors are amazing and very compassionate too. So I had to give 5 stars for this review plus another 5+ for being so helpful especially when that is so important when one is in recovery to try to have some sort of balanced structure. Thanks to all who work here and thank you for helping others daily.
I’ve been in recovery going on 8 years. Been through 3 clinics but this one here I have to admit is the best one in so many way but the most important one is starting from the doctors to the nursing staff and counselors… actually care. They are all respectful, the atmosphere from the time you walk in the most rough time my life to now they have been living , understanding, respectful understanding and each and one of the staff members in this clinic have never ever been judging or disrespectful towards me. They actually care of my well being, and my recovery. As soon as one walks in this clinic you feel the peacefulness and honestly one feels the care the love of sobriety here. Thank you Team ASAP FROM THE bottom of my heart, I greatly appreciate each and one of you for being by my side in every hour of the day throughout my recovery. You guy and gals are the best God bless me with the best team to help me overcome the debilitating addiction that had me enslaved for 17 years. Thanks again and God bless each and one of you
This is the best clinic I have ever went to. It is the most friendly and like family to me. It’s so personable I love it. This will be the last clinic I will ever go to. This is my home away from home. That’s what it… makes me feel like!!! So thanks for everything ASAP it means the world to me everything you do for us so thank you so much!!!!!!
Great clinic! The place I was before was run really bad and they treated their patients horribly. I found out that ASAP had opened so I called and I was able to go the next day. Everybody there has made my recovery… journey important to them which has made it much easier to go down in dose. If you are finally to the point where you can't take living the way you are and you want to make a change please call them!!
This is a very nice facility compared to the other recovery facilities. First off, A.S.A.P actually cares about your recovery and do everything in there power to help you achieve the goal of sobriety. Secondly the staff… is very nice and treats every patient with respect. Thirdly the staff is on time with all there appointments and do there best to consider your time. I would highly recommend A.S.A.P to anyone who is at the point in life where they want to succeed and free themselves of addiction.
