I was extremely disappointed with our experience with RN Beth Hogue. Her bedside manner was unprofessional, and she became visibly agitated when we asked basic questions about my daughter’s symptoms and what she should… be watching for after being sent home. My daughter is 38 weeks pregnant and was experiencing significant pitting swelling in her feet and legs, along with a persistent headache. She had also previously had protein detected in her urine. We were simply trying to understand whether these symptoms could be concerning for preeclampsia and whether her urine, blood pressure, or other labs needed to be checked. Instead of addressing our concerns respectfully, we felt dismissed and as though asking questions was an inconvenience. We left feeling like our needs were not met and that my daughter was not fully evaluated for possible preeclampsia. Her urine was available, yet it was not tested during this visit, and her swelling was not even physically evaluated. Regardless of whether the final diagnosis is preeclampsia, patients deserve to have their concerns taken seriously and to understand why certain testing or evaluation is—or is not—necessary. We were looking for reassurance and clear instructions about what to watch for, but instead left feeling frustrated, dismissed, and unheard. No patient should feel like they have to be afraid to ask basic questions about their health, especially when advocating for themselves and their baby.
I was there march of 2026 the worst hospital ever I got admitted there and the nurses wasn't not so very nice to me and my dad, at least my dad was there with me and called the head of nursing and they took care of… things ,they didn't ever come in when you hit the nurses button for an long time I told the head of nurse and she got that straightened out then they came in and checked on me and they didn't ask me at all if I needed to wash off and didn't clean me up it was awful i turned in the nurses for that I was so very upset I was bleeding out and they wasn't cleaning me up to much ,I reported my care to head nurse I had to go there from Sewickley Valley cause Sewickley didn't have obgyn services there I wish Sewickley did Sewickley hospital I go to now they take better care of you ,I had good experiences there but I needed an testing done there the Dr's who did my testing at ahn beaver was better than the nurses I called my dad and filled him in and wrote down when they came in and told my head nurse she called them all in and talked with them I am glad ahn takes over I hope ahn beaver medical center gets nicer nurses there I won't go there no more I only go there for my blood work and that is it I go to Sewickley Valley er they are the best when I went there ,they helped me out more and they always asked me if I needed anything they was more helpful and great nurses there ,
If you love your family members don't take them to this hospital unless you have no other choice 😩 . They miss diagnosed my mother , released her and she passed 6 hours later at home. If you can try to make it to a… different hospital. These people act like they're practicing on your loved ones
The lady named Jessica in the front desk of the ER let Lewis headley call me a N***er with the hard R and then try to have security intimidate me because they are friends officer biondi is very unstable and irate so you… should be careful going to this hospital if you are a minority because they tried to bully me and intimidate me to protect a racist meanwhile all this is going on there has been blood all over the bathroom floor for over 5hrs the wait time is ridiculous I will never go to this hospital I made a complaint to them and they did nothing but cover it up this is extremely concerning
This post is specifically for the Outpatient Surgery Center at the hospital. This staff. nurses, PA’s and MD’s are all fantastic!! I recently had surgery for my wrist, everyone was so caring, understanding how scared I… was and went above and beyond to put my mind at ease. Everyone was thorough in explaining what they were doing. They even made me laugh “Red Rover, Red Rover” was the first thing I heard when I woke up as I was transferred from the OR table to the gurney. I wish the staff in the ER at this hospital was as great as this staff. Fantastic group!! You all deserve so much! There is still hope for our medical industry 🙏🏼
Update: had to go back. Still vomiting. People laying in waiting room. Others coming in and going right back to be seen and leaving. Was there 3 hours in the waiting room. Talked to staff supervisor who said they see… the patients with lesser issues first to make the rooms available for people with bigger issues like myself later. So they make the really sick people wait and just deal with the minor issues. Makes no sense. I threw a fit, got a room. Nurse, fat white guy with glasses, named Dave, didn't wear gloves to do my iv or take it out. I believe he was mentioned in another review below. Had sores on his hand. Didn't wash his hands before or after. I now have sores popping up out of nowhere 2 days later. Assuming mrsa. Heading to a different hospital. When you don't have insurance, we pay a lot of money to be disrespected and have our concerns ignored. Earlier post. Been waiting sick in the waiting room for hours, watching other people come and go like I'm not even here. People who came after me are leaving already while I still wait.
I would risk dying and going to another ER than take my loved ones or even myself to this place, i witnessed them call the same patient over 6x after their friend in the lobby repeatedly told them they had been taken… back to a room already. Also, the Lady at the front desk will blatantly lie to demean and diminish your claim of long wait times when you are actively sick or dying in their lobby. Just show you care about your loved ones don't take them here. Edited to correct nurse to lady, she wasn't a nurse. Also, we were there for 9 hours only to be told they wouldn't be able to help her.
Absolutely AWEFUL!!!!!!! I went in after being stung by a wasp the day before and having a reaction--came by ambulance, was put in the waiting room for nearly 5 hrs!!! blood tests revealed a heart issue as did my… symptoms. When I finally got a room and told nurse symptoms and that I was stung by a wasp, nothing was done!!! NOTHING regarding the sting!! Told by ER DR blood tests were fine--they were not (as I checked the next day) was sent home. Saw Dr one time and then after all night in the ER, I finally asked for test results and if it was ok, to go home. Dr never addressed the wasp sting and sent me home. Come to find out that I am allergic to wasp venom and was lucky. I wish I could give this a negative 0 star!!!!!!! Oh, saw my PCP the following Monday (2 days later) and he was really upset--said that with my blood test results and symptoms (which I was still having), I should have been admitted immediately! I could have died in the ER and no one would have even noticed or cared! This is totally WRONG!!!!! Triage is a JOKE!!! It doesn't matter that you are in pain or having an allergic reaction--no one really cares. I never was asked if I wanted a drink of water or did I need anything--even tho I was getting dehydrated--and when I put my light on, the staff at the nurses station were laughing and talking about plans for the weekend and I don't know who is at the desk--but, where are the nurses and Drs?????? I'm glad my husband was with me--at least if something happened, he would be there. 0 stars--
We have waited 7 hours so far and still haven’t been seen. This is by far the worst hospital in Western Pennsylvania I have ever been to.
I have an allergic reaction and I dont feel right and they just have me sitting in the waiting room this place is so bad they need to shut down and get better staff works and this place is so dirty and it smells so… weird half of the time
I am 18 weeks bleeding and they said I am not 20 weeks so I wasn’t priority to be seen. Waited 5 hours and still bleeding in the er. Staff laughed at me when I walked out after I got a room and asked for the doctor and… supervisor. A nurse said I know you are upset and need to calm down and didn’t know how dire the situation is.
Was in the emergency room for chest pain and retaining water my legs were so swollen I went to walk out the way I went in because I couldn't walk a long distance and this young nurse Riley bwas very rude and didn't want… me to walk out the way I went in on room had. Patient in it I understood that but the other was empty band she shot me nasty dirty look then mumbles something under her breath ! Not very nice !! Just remember Lucifer was God's most beautiful angel! She expected me to walk all the way back and around after just being treated in the er!!! She should be ashamed of herself!
The worst hospital you could come to. You sit here for several hours and they do nothing
I sat for 9 hours in this ER while many others were taken back first. Worst ER Ive ever been to.
Arrived at the ER with my husband who had chest/abdominal pains, rapid heart rate, and adrenaline/anxiety. The initial triage and scans happened relatively quickly as they were not busy. He received the results in his… email three hours ago and we still are waiting in the waiting room until “a room is available.” Four hours. They have gotten busy, but they were NOT busy when we got here. There is no reason we should still be waiting to be given results.
Had a good doctor say my dad should stay until Monday. Had another doctor release him a day early plus the nurse did not give him his final antibiotics because she did not know how to hook him up since it was leaking.… So we ended up back in ER next day !!!!! They need more nurses and if they need to take better care.
They misdiagnosed the injury to my foot, they said it was a sprain and dismissed me even though I couldn’t walk on it. I went to my orthopedic and he looked at the same X-rays they took and he said there is a clear… fracture in my foot.
I just want to give the biggest thankyou to the best nurses on the 2nd floor. Darby Karen and Nathan i dont think I woulda made it through without you guys and I mean that stay true to who u are and how kindly u treat… ur patients cuz there was 1 rude nurse and it actually does not feel good when ur sick. Thanku guys again for everything❤️
Came here Aroung 2045 hours on 06/29/26 with a possible broken knee, it’s almost 1 AM next day and I’m yet to be seen by a doctor. This is so crazy to me how these emergency care operates.
Im literally dieing and they won't help me. I just went there because I havnt had a bowel movement in a week. The dr felt my stomach and discharged me with no diagnostic testing or anything all because I had tests done… a couple weeks ago when this happened afterwards. Absolutely the worst er room I ever seen. The other parts of the hospital are great! Fantastic cardio vascular unit, awesome icu and so on, however the er is a total disgrace so are some of the drs,not all but some.
Desperately needed to be seen running a fever at 103 there was hardly anyone there absolutely pathetic ..A Hr almost nothing
The nurses there Kathy and Kelly are the biggest worthless individuals You will ever meet they were rude and they are certainly bias and favoritism they will let you lay there and rot worse nurses in the world they… should be waitresses actually not even that they shouldn't even deal with the public
Mom got a ear infection tonight from the dirty pillows. Staff giggled like school girls while patients needed checked in. Waited 6 hours!
Worst facility ever in this county my poor grandmother has been in this hospital dehydrated came in with low! Blood pressuee! Never once did the doctor put in an iv for her not even hook her up on a blood cuff to keep… check of her vitals I asked a nurse when she finally pushed the button cause no one cared to check in on her after tests were done on her to see if she was okay I then proceed to asks why she wasnt hooked up and wasnt given a iv for fluids the nurse with black glass a white beard fat dude comes at me for saying unbelievable saying is this gonna be a issue do I need to call the cops I said no im was just wonder then he goes thats it im calling the cops to get you out of here I just instead walked out on my own but to think that's how your gonna treat a family memeber for being concerned about his grandmother it amazing yall dont only false diagnose people but yall are terrible to yalls patients and there famiky members amazing btw this was at the er and let me just put just cause agh is now partnered with these people who own this place doesnt mean the staff is gonna change I know this review wont do much but hey someone needs to say it
Don't help you all I was in pain could not walk left me in pain and send me home in a wheelchair in pain they was nasty and don't help you at all
