About Monarch House – New Bedford

33 South 6th street in New Bedford puts Monarch House inside a short drive of Bliss Corner, Acushnet Center and the towns around them. Anyone within about 9 miles can reach it without a major journey, which takes in Acushnet Center, Smith Mills, Mattapoisett Center and Marion Center. New Bedford sits in Bristol County, and the county’s own provision is limited enough that this site draws from a wide area.

Services run to residential treatment. Monarch House is federally registered and licensed by the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. Approved medication runs alongside counseling, which is what medication-assisted treatment means in practice. Some contact can happen by video rather than in person. Trauma-specific treatment is available here.

Monarch House – New Bedford Detox and Rehab Services

Treatment at Monarch House – New Bedford covers residential treatment. Confirm what a program covers before committing to it. What suits one person will not suit another, so ask directly. It is reasonable to ask how progress is reviewed and by whom.

Only one side is covered here, so ask directly if both are needed. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

An awesome residential women's program. Its my first week here at the house, and when I arrived all the women in the house were so kind and welcoming! All the R.S staff are truly genuine women, who have all gone through… the process of recovery themselves. I feel comfortable going to any of them if I need help or just need to talk. It's not a perfect program there are some flaws. But most of my complaints would be about materialistic stuff or maintenance issues. But what I have here is way more compared to the environment I came from. On top of all that there are amazing resources that they can hook you up with. So I'm very happy with my choice to come to this program, and continue to grow and learn in my recovery journey.

This place is one of the worst houses for young women to get help. Extremely unprofessional. They don't even have qualified people passing out there meds. Staff puts down the clients . Quite honestly BSAS needs to do… something about it
