Is anyone going to look into the corruption of the billing department? Look at the reviews about billing issues. I even had a nurse tell my husband and I that they were sending her to collections and she had to fight… them. I had insurance and an authorization that were on file and they still didn’t put it through my insurance. Myself and my insurance called their billing department multiple times thinking it was squared away and they still got it sent to collections. This department really needs to be under scrutiny.
Waited over an hour and a half after my appt time and still haven’t been seen. Very unprofessional. I don’t recommend coming here.
Amazing medical crew every doctor i've seen in this hospital has made sure to explain to me everything that is going on in a detailed yet easy to understand way and never failed to help me find solutions to my problems… and it is the only hospital that i've ever been to, where the crew does not actually make me feel stupid or not knowing the pain that i'm talking about
This review has no reflection on the nurses who cared for my husband, they were amazing! --------------------------------------------- My husband was taken by ambulance to the hospital on October 3rd. He has congestive… heart failure and he's on several medications. My husband collapsed at home which led to his ER visit. Dr Ahmad was on call, I never saw him the whole time I was there with my husband. The attending physicians were talking to him on the phone. Long story short they kept him overnight for observation and he was released the next day but he was taken off 4 of his medications, they said his episode was caused by low blood pressure, one of them was a water pill. They said he didn't need it since he had no swelling at the time, and only to take as needed. After being released, going home 3 days later, he collapsed in the yard, his neck swelled up on the right side, my husband assumed it was his lymph glands swollen. We had a follow up appointment scheduled with Dr Ahmad on the 9th of October but he wasn't able to see him, he was in surgery so Dr Mohammed Sarraf took his place that day and thank God he did! He addressed things that were in the charts of my husband that no one else did, this DR quickly realized the swelling in his neck wasn't lymph glands, it was the arteries in his neck. He had blood drawn for a specific test for the heart function and it showed my husband was in advanced heart failure. Cardiac shock. My husband was admitted into the hospital and put in ICU and was being treated for heart failure but was later transferred by ambulance to UW Hospital in Madison ICU cardiac floor. He was in critical condition. Dr Sarraf and the care team at the Madison UW hospital saved my husband's life! He was released yesterday October 28th only because he has to wear a continuous IV pump with the medication that's keeping him alive until he gets a donor heart. The negligence and the proper care needed for him just about cost him his life! If it wasn't for Dr Sarraf my husband would have had a massive heart attack that he more than likely wouldn't have recovered from. I can say the nurses that cared for my husband in the ICU before he was transferred to UW were very kind and did the best they could. Bottom line when it comes to a person's life, make sure you're checking all the boxes before sending someone home with just a follow up appointment! Dr Ahmad taking him off those medications created a warzone in my husband's body! Sadly Dr Sarraf was only at the Monroe clinic hospital briefly, he was moving on to another State a few days after my husband went to Madison. I owe him a debt of gratitude, you don't see Drs like that anymore!
I had a total knee replacement in January. I am now pretty much back to normal activities. I want to thank the following, Dr Patel. My wife and I were impressed with him at my first appointment. He did an amazing job… with the replacement surgery and has excellent bedside manner and he always had the time to talk and listen.I also want to thank Kelley Hesseling at the New Glarus Branch, because she took the time to do an extra test, a blood clot which I had no symptoms of was found. This allowed me to receive the proper treatment. I want to thank Brooke Hoesly at the New Glarus Clinic. She was always very understanding and was able to get my blood pressure back to normal after I had issues with lab numbers. And I want to thank Physical Therapist Amanda Haglund also of the New Glarus Branch. She was also very understanding and had me do the stretches and exercises needed. Due to her illness and my blood clot I was about 2 weeks behind but in about six weeks she had me ahead of schedule. She also has helped me in the past with feet and shoulder/neck issues. I would strongly recommend each one of the outstanding professionals.
Can't speak to anyone in billing about getting double billed. It has been 4 months since I was forced to pay a bill that my insurance already sent a payment for. I have all the relevant documents and billing over the… phone just ignores it. Plus you can't hear anything. It sounds like the billing department number is some call center lord knows where.
I went to setup a appointment for my daughter and the receptionist at pediatrics was telling me they don't accept Medicaid insurance. I find that very unlikely because I get all my appointments done at this hospital and… clinic.
My wife lost a tip of her finger and she went to the ER fir service she was not given pain medicine and after we left the hospital we pick up the medicine from Walgreens and a was no pain medicine prescribed we have to… go again to fastcare to get her pain medicine I tried to contact the hospital for two days and left a massage to call back and no one answer back I was looking for splanation why a was not given pain med to my wife
Always done me a good experience nice to have this in our community grateful
Updates to a family suck. Say they will update in half hour and hear nothing for 2 hours. Half truths are told when you get updates. They put the patient through hell to line their pockets. They put the family through… hell total disrespect and disregard for life. Avoid this hospital like the plague. My sister had a major coronary heart attack and it is not bring handled correctly. They should have transported her to a facility that could handle it instead of playing around with exerimental pumps without even having a cardiac doctor on staff.
Everyone at the clinic No matter What discipline They may be Have been Attentive, kind, knowledgeable. I would recommend Monroe clinic and Hospital to anyone and I have done so
The atmosphere is nice for a hospital because of all the artwork. There is also a nice cafe with a huge salad bar & soups. The entrees are delicious and healthy.
The low stars is for billing only! The care we have received from doctors and therapist have been 5 star all the way. Billing is a joke, and they have no idea what they are saying or doing. We question a bill, and they… say don't pay it yet, we are still waiting on insurance, and then they turn around and try to charge us double because no payments have been made. Complete disconnect somewhere!!! My husband called multiple times and still no answers. UGH!
If only zero stars was an option. If you or someone you love depends on this clinic or the ER for care...move. Find an alternate facility. INCOMPETENT doesn't even cover it. The nurses are amazing but have no power. The… Drs and NPs are in over their heads and have no clue.
My wife had out baby there . Nice nurses and good food.
SSM taking over has been the worst thing to happen to our community. You no longer can get a same day appointment, you have to book months out just to be cancelled on. I’m supposed to see women’s health every 4 weeks… but it’s been 5 now and they cancelled on me so now have to wait longer—I feel they are not taking my health nor my baby’s seriously. They also keep putting me with a different male doctor every time despite me explicitly asking for a female but I’m just taking whoever will see me. I wish I had known how bad the billing department was as I kept paying collections although I was confused since I had already paid the bills. They also missed my dad’s torn meniscus for 5 years and UW found it the first appointment he went to. SSM told him the knee pain was in his head and gave him medicine and shots and never once x ray’d him. Came back to add the staff is SO rude and I’m so nervous when I call. Called at 7:05 this morning as I’ve been told in the past to call at 7 to try to get same day appointments. Since mine was cancelled on me last minute yesterday I’m scrambling to find another appointment that doesn’t completely derail my other plans. I called and when she answered I asked to speak to women’s health, instead of saying they don’t open until 8 she said “you do realize it’s 7 in the morning correct?”
Patient care is good here and the technicians, nurses and doctors are very helpful and show they are concerned about you.
Sweet potato fries and onion rings with chipotle mayo by the fire on the shortest day of the year. I stop at the cafe after my monthly allergy shots. Maybe the restaurant will get its own Google page! (digital marketer;… see my Linkedin.)
I used to defend this hospital/clinic, but over the last 5 years, they've lost all the good staff, their policies suck, they can't handle anything complex, the staff care more about their egos than the humans that are… coming to them for help, extremely patronizing and condescending. 0 stars 🌟 in my book.
Drove a hour and 20 min to take my wife to the ER up there because we like the care we get there. This was Saturday the 23rd. She was treated well by the ER. The ER doctor informed us to call the the clinic Monday… morning to make appointment with a gastro Dr. Wife called Monday and it's now Thursday and still haven't heard back from anyone. I use to recommend the place to people but if this is how you treat patients now I will not anymore.
The billing department is horrible. They have billed me for services paid by my insurance. Calling them is of no use. I had my insurance company call them in June, it's now August and they still have it wrong. I can… only imagine how upset and confused they make people who can't navigete the system well. I am wondering how many people have paid bills they even didn't owe.
