The doctor and nurse here seem to be very nice and as helpful as they can . I just read the review from the mother who felt they were trying to blame her and it was very upsetting because that is what they did to me as… well . I am a grandmother raising two grandsons and one of them has serious mental issues . He is mean and verging on violent and pretty much impossible to parent . I tried to explain to the counselor that his parents also had mental issues and I think they thought I was projecting . It was bad enough that my husband took him and told her she was wrong . children are being coddled by the system and not being told that there are rules we all have to live by . We are still going but have stopped counseling after absolutely No results . Now we just have a case manager . We are just hoping to get through this without him hurting us or someone else . Sorry I do not have a success story .
CAUTION PARENTS! Do not take your teens here! CMH enables your child to keep being “sick.” We went here for 2 years because my son was suicidal and had SEVERE behavioral problems. Needless to say they didn’t care that… he wouldn’t stop smoking marijuana (used to cover up emotions) made me (his mother) out to be the problem and wouldn’t address anything unless it had to do with pegging me as a monster. The last and final straw was his last appointment, he had an outburst and ran back inside where the employees unreasonably kept him from me and I had to have a family member pick him up. This place and their “therapists” need to be shut down. Complete parent child alienation at the hands of “professionals” pretty scary.
Very upset with the care received...
