Options Recovery Services – Berkeley

Options Recovery Services is a terrible place to go if you are looking for true support and recovery. The House Manager Gloria is a vindictive operator who falsifying lied about me to have me evicted from the program. I… was staying at 3331 King st apt D. Be very careful of putting your trust in the leaders of the home. Especially if you have legal troubles. They will if provoked lie to your probation officer, parole agent to get you put out. Not a good place for recovery.

I scheduled an intake and went through the process of changing my Medi-Cal coverage from Contra Costa County to Alameda County specifically to receive services here. After completing those steps, I was then informed… that the program is at full capacity and unable to accept new clients. This is a serious breakdown in communication. Capacity and availability should be clearly communicated before someone is scheduled for intake—especially when people are making significant administrative changes based on that expectation. For individuals seeking treatment, timing matters, and delays like this can have real consequences. While the staff I spoke with were courteous, the overall process was misleading and inefficient. I would strongly encourage the program to implement better upfront screening and transparency about availability so others are not put in the same position.

I called and Alex was very helpful, informative, and was able to answer my questions! Unfortunately if you recieve intake, you have to live there.

Management has a bad temper, they openly release client/employee records, and mishandle their business.

They'll help you if you want help they helped me I'll never forget them or my time there I would have never got off parole if it wasn't for Options...🙏 God bless you all

This program has really helped me thru my Recovery and my Sobriety! The staff are amazing specially the SL site. I really encourage anyone to take this step to better yourself and to be able to live free without… addiction.

The best place to go if you have problems with Alcohol and Drug addiction. Options really cares.

Good place for recovery from drugs and alcohol

HORRIBLE PROGRAM THEY DONT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE AND THEIR RECOVERY. THEY WILL ALLOW PEOPLE IN THE OTHER HOUSES TO STEAL FROM YOU AND THAN THEY BLAME YOU. THEY ALLOW YOU TO GET HARASSED & DON’T DO ANYTHING WHEN OTHERS FROM… THE OTHER HOUSES POP UP AT YOUR HOUSE WHEN ITS AGAINST YOUR CONTRACT. THEY ALLOW HIM TO CONTINUE TO HARASS AND TRESPASS. HE HAVE CALLED JOBS TO GET PEOPLE FIRED. OPTIONS DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR RECOVERY.

Wonderful program and staff

Food boxes come each week, enough to cook complete meals for a 15-man house; plus there are good cooks who enjoy sharing what they make. and a dozen ethnic markets, supermarkets and EBT-freundly eateries, all within… walking distance

Options is very well organized in all phases of the current rehabilitation system, Including help with housing. Great job 👍🏼

I was able to visit this place. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Didn’t give all information up front. Spent money I didn’t need to because of lack of information.
