Very helpful experience and grateful for the people there, especially my primary therapist Becca Dean!
I was in Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center's Partial Hospitalization Program for 6 weeks. During my time there, the team facilitated the most compassionate, holistic, and gender-affirming care I've ever received. They… also raised the bar significantly for what I expect from my psychiatric care going forward. I'd especially like to shout out Dr. Bradshaw (psychiatrist), and Tori (my individual therapist) for helping me explore a breakthrough in some of my behaviors. This program works best if you lean into it and if you understand that you won't walk out completely fixed. The program's purpose is to give you the tools to manage your recovery journey. It is a LOT of group therapy, and a LOT of pages to manage in a big binder that they supply on your first day. I also got incredibly lucky to have a circle of wonderful group members, who helped shape the way I approach my mental health care. They were brilliant, kind, and really did make it worth it to come to programming every day. This may not be the case for everyone, as people enter and graduate the program over your time there. If you take anything from this wall of text and you're seriously considering their PHP, do not be afraid to advocate for yourself. Be it for giving feedback to the staff, about the curriculum, sensory needs, correcting pronouns, etc. They will hear you out, and do their best to meet you where you're at. If you're thinking about this program, do it. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it. You're worth the effort to recover. You've got this.
I had the most amazing experience at Pathlight. I was in the PHP program for approximately 7 weeks and I couldn’t be happier with my time there. All of the staff were excellent and I want to give a special shoutout to… Sandy, my favorite MC. Thanks again, Pathlight, for helping me get back to being “ME!”
I would not recommend Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center for any mental health care treatment. They are unable to provide real treatment, they are more of a baby sitting service. Please search for alternative services… for treatment.
Friendly, supportive, and knowledgable staff.
