Cenikor Foundation – Deer Park Detox and Rehab Services

The provision listed at Cenikor Foundation – Deer Park is detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

Only one side is on record here, so ask directly if both are needed. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Cenikor Foundation – Deer Park Address, Location and Contact Information

The facility address is 4525 Glenwood Avenue, Deer Park, Texas, 77536. Deer Park sits in Harris County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Yeah I just saw a post saying the location in Deerpark should be shut down. I totally agree. These people aren't there to help. I just left from there after the first lady I seen said she couldn't help me today , that I… would need to come back Thursday but I would still need to sit down with a caseworker so they can see if they can help me. That's how they get to keep all the government help they get, by not helping. I took my brother here as well a few months back and they told him to come back as well. They straight up turn you around. And people still wonder why is there many people homeless on drugs. Is because the people that are suppose to be helping just don't. Im sure they start as such but once they see all the money they get by not helping they get greedy and turn the blind eye and to some of us they just reject us and say come back, not today. Worthless place

Horrible experience they let their patients run wild in the night time no supervision at whatsoever and they attack younger members they even went as far as the segregate the younger members or the ones that are nicer… just so they can bully to them there is more drugs and alcohol and parties going on in that place then some people have seen in their whole entire life I even went as far as witnessing people throwing dope over the fence and the so-called nature walks is them picking up supplies for their party

This place specifically Mat program assistant Izzy told people I was threatening her whenever I let her know that I would put in a bad review for the automatic machine not letting me know when my doctor's appointment… was, now if she told people hey he was going to give me a bad review, that wouldn't even be truthful, I specifically told her it wasn't her fault it was the automated service fault, but she still went told Miss Reeves that I threatened her, she told people I was threatening her trying to exploit me as a male and this is what this place does to you if you're a male anything they do wrong if you say anything they act like you're threatening them trust me don't go to this place if you have insurance go to a place where people actually tell the truth and Izzy if you didn't have anything to hide you wouldn't have took me telling you I was going to give you a bad review as threatening you're only worried about a review because you know you never contacted me at all

My name is Carter, and I cannot say enough good things about Deer Park Recovery House. I want to think mrs Shannon. She was there for me from the very beginning and made me feel welcome, comfortable, and right at home.… She genuinely cared about my recovery and always took the time to listen, encourage, and support me when I needed it most. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication helped me believe in myself and stay focused on my recovery journey. Knowing that someone truly cared made all the difference. Deer Park Recovery House provided me with a safe and supportive environment, and I am incredibly grateful for everything Shannon did to help me succeed. I highly recommend Deer Park Recovery House to anyone looking for a place where they will feel supported, respected, and encouraged every step of the way.

If you’re trying to detox off of an opiate I highly suggest staying as far away from this place as possible. They will not give you any bupe for 3 days and their little helper meds do absolutely nothing. You’re… basically going to cold turkey in an extremely uncomfortable environment. 10/10 don’t recommend!!

I just want to say symmetria is one of the best rehabs I have ever been in. Everyone here is so caring and so nice and I've helped me so much in my recovery. But I really want to give a huge shout out to Rachel she is… an amazing counselor. She's always showed me that she cares about me and my recovery and that means so much to me. I don't know what I would do without her I don't know what I would do without her so thank you so much Rachel you are amazing and symmetry will not be the same without you I love you all best regards your favorite patient sam

I went to deer park when it was a 3 year program. And what I learned about sobriety is that they are a “.non profit “ yet somehow they send you to work the shittiest jobs that u can imagine and if that job requires work… boots… best of luck… they send you out with boots that are old and do not fit. Also when coming back from work we were to leave our shitty boots on the back dock and then after the mandatory 5 hours of rest\personal time we woke up and then went to the pile of 200 other residents boots. I can’t tell you how many times I wore boots that didn’t fit. I get free treatment. But this place had us working back breaking jobs while simultaneously collecting all the perks of government assistance. Also we never saw a dime from the work. So working for your treatment I understand…but surely those jobs should of had healthcare… they gamed the system System for healthcare all while having vulnerable ppl working jobs no one else would work and pocketing all the profits. cenikor is a business… not the answer to your prayers

First off, Cenikor does have wonderful staff, the BHTs that actually care and show empathy go a long way. I know they have a job to do, and policy to follow… that being said I was to detox at another facility and to be… brought back to Cenikor for residential treatment. They were fully aware of the circumstances and portrayed things to be all okay on the admission side, not even 24 hours into my day back from finishing detox I was told at 4:50pm at night that they hadn’t received necessary documentation from my primary care provider (obgyn) and that in the morning I would be discharged and my nightly stay would be a complimentary stay… let me just say how rude you give me 10 min to contact my obgyn office to obtain documents that were faxed in Friday with confirmation from my obgyn office, that mysteriously never showed up to Cenikor. mind you there was no running water for more than 8 hours during this day as well….. The facility is run down. Only 1 working toilet downstairs for the females to use during the hours where you cannot access any other areas. Seeing as this is a state funded and insurance ran facility, you would think would offer some well taken care of amenities and basic necessities. Only snack machine they had was completely out of order as well… so with 10 minutes to spare after asking if I could make a phone call I was told to go to the central desk to find a bht to do that. No BHT in sight. So I was in a pickle not able to contact the obgyn office and knew in the morning it was slim to nothing to obtain the required document they needed. In retrospect I was a liability to them, and they didn’t want to treat me. Why have me come back there, under the pretenses that everything would be resolved and worked out to only be dropped from the program without actually given the chance to produce the documents they needed. Either way, I’m seeing this as a favor… considering the state the building is in, the food…. Some of which is expired. It all seems like a $$$$ hungry operation at this point. And they only have so many employees left who actually care about the well being of the clients.

They really helped my son get over his psychotic episode and he said that this was the most intense program that he was ever in.I am so proud of him for sticking it out and going to sober living house. And they were… able to stabilize my Son on his Meds . Because of that he is just like he was before a loving father and a concerned person who is ready for the responsibility of sober life.

First and foremost if you aren't serious about getting clean/sober then don't waste the bed space that could possibly save a life for someone who REALLY needs it. I wanna thank my Lord and Savior for the opportunity to… get back on track. Mrs. Reeves does an exceptional job of being fair across the board and provides everyone an equal opportunity for recovery. Ashley has a huge responsibility and did a great job of meeting everyone's individual needs. Mrs. Veronica, whom a whole section could be dedicated to. A true Angel for the Cause! Huge shout out to all the BHT's not gonna name you all but I will say they are a super bunch of individuals who aren't there just for a paycheck. Mrs. Tia of course you're a gem! Thanks to the medical staff for keeping my blood pressure in check and putting up with me on a daily basis. Ms. Charyle for her role in RSS and taking her time to break down the steps. Super important part of MY treatment that really needs to be implemented as a daily group. Thanks for the cooks for providing us the sustenance to regain our health. And most importantly to all the Peers at Cenikor! You are what makes that place work. Stay positive! Trust the process! Utilize your time! Trust God, Clean house and help others and you'll be on your way to a healthy program. Much love. Much Gratitude.

I went to cenikor back in 2000. It was a 3 year program and it was a nightmare. I am from Maryland and my judge sent me down their. I went in July and they sent me to a job where I was out in the sun for 10 hours. I got… so burnt I got sick. Them they had me work on greener visions. I got huge blisters due to the wet grass every morning. And a guy who was almost done with the program cut my blisters open and that was told to me by the doctor to never cut blisters. But all we did was work. That place was a cult. If that was the last place on earth to go to I would slice my wrist

I certainly pray I never end up here again. I will give praise to the bhts ESPECIALLY MS.DONNA AND DEDRA AND MS.KAREN. I couldn't have done it without them. It almost feels like I have 2 other moms. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO… THANK MR.JUST AND MS.TIA. Just has always worked with me and gotten me in this place when I needed to be. By far the most miserable detox I have went through and by day 6 I could confidently say after not receiving Ativan ( I take benzos for PTSD and my anxiety disorder. But I was in cinikore from alcohol withdrawal.) I was through the alcohol withdrawal but now I was fighting benzo withdrawal. Very mild but panic after panic attack. I felt like I was gonna die. They say panic attacks won't kill you but it is actually possible although rare. Regardless of the fact it's a absolutely miserable. Kinda to the point what doesn't kill you makes you wish you were dead. Now it's just up to time and healing. I gotta get with my doctor to taper me off the benzos before it's too late but I'm game. I'm tired of being chemically dependant and scared I'm gonna die 24/7. 🚨 Anybody new going in for detox don't expect your Ativan for 1 to 2 days. They go off of a scoring system so be sure to be extra shaky and answer the questions right every time you get your vitals done. The whole point of the Ativan is to keep your CNS calm as your body adjusts to living without alcohol and it also keeps you comfortable. if your withdrawals are too severe they will turn you away and if you will blow on a breathalyzer on intake and if you blow above the legal limit they will also turn you away so keep your drinking that morning to a minimum.

This place is NOT about recovery. It's state funded, so that says a lot. Kim Reeves, the director of this facility, is just as unprofessional as her staff. Leslie, a nurse, has no business getting in people's face and… yelling at them like children. People in recovery have rights, human rights, and they flat out ignore that. BHT staff don't follow rules and those rules change per BHT. How do they expect anyone to comply, or have any order if their own staff doesn't comply. Very poorly run. Even their NA AA meetings are a joke. If you have a choice DO NOT COME HERE OR SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE. There's mold upstairs in the women's rooms, Kim Reeves said it's not mold it's moisture. Apparently, moisture is ok, but that turns to mold. The second you open the door you smell it. The AC doesn't work in the meeting/cafeteria/process group room. There is a "rule"meeting on Sundays but that changes as the wind blows.

I went here in 2013..stayed 9 months and had a absolute TERRIBLE experience! Addicts bullying addicts the male, female ratio is ridiculous! There's so many focusing on working each other instead of the program! Clicked… up in the right groups they find and make ways to have "relations" so nobody gets hemmed up. They make it hard but not in the right ways. It's like a secret society 😆 so many secrets, lies, the older group makes it really HARD for anybody to want to be there. Especially older people trying to get a reset and live around a bunch of hateful horny addicted kids. I wouldn't suggest ANYONE TO EVEN HAVE A 2ND THOUGHT ON MAKING THIS YOUR RECOVERY CHOICE!.

Everything is repeated over and over again. It's hardly a place for "help" but for punishment for probation violators. There is nothing to gain after 30 days. I wish, I could give zero stars...
