Project Renewal Inc – New York Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 8 East 3rd Street in New York, New York, 10003. The city lies within New York County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Project Renewal Inc – New York Reviews and Ratings
Reviews are where patients and families describe Project Renewal Inc in their own terms: the welcome at admission, the counseling, the planning for life after treatment.
Reading them is a sensible step before calling the New York facility. Writing one, if you have been treated there, helps the families who come next.
I was here 2-3 weeks ago when i first came to new York. They were ok, staff was cool, but they had confiscated some stuff, said I could get it back in the morning when I leave, went to go get it back when the bus was… leaving, they said they threw it out, I asked where, they didn't answer, I'm pretty damn sure they kept it or sold it, 2 items they took were silver, one waffle maker and an industrial fan for the hot days, bunch of thieves taking from the homeless. Do not come here with valuables.
Staff was great when I was there wade, Smalls and others. I was on the third floor medical floor for about 8 months and they got me an studio apartment in the Bronx
They did the right thing by permanently banning City Grace Church from hiding Tuesday night game nights after a member of the church cursed the staff out.
Last Year I was at this men's homeless shelter where I was dropped off at night and the security guards are very nasty. They saw my winter. Jacket was stolenandi saw a guy overdose onk× and a male resident was drinking… ingredients and smoking and the food is horrible. The best thing about 8 East 3Rd was the medical clinic. The front desk people are very 8 nasty and rude.
I was homeless from 2016 to 2018 living on the streets of New York city with my older brother strung out on heroin there had been a few times that I've came here to project renewal detox wing even when I was dieing from… withdrawals throwing up the nurses and staff always made sure I was okay I remember this one lady her name was miss Mercedes that always checked on me fast foward today im 3 years clean and this ill never forget this place ❤️
Good
The medical team here are definitely the best of the best all-star team. They have repeatedly gone way out of the way to help me and accommodate me during a couple of stressful situations that I found myself in the… middle of. I highly recommend the team to everyone
I feel and believe that this place is very racist. It has been several situations that has happened amongst other ethnicities and nothing has been done to the Caucasian, people, however any other ethnicity they have… been terminated or have been forced to go to other programs. And when is brought up you are made to look or to be looked at like a troublemaker I wish that there was some place I can go or someone that I can talk to to explain the situation that goes on here and this facility
The best place for one to leave. Very friendly atmosphere and security services and surveillance is 24/7. Recommended for anyone who needs to be here.
For all the millions of Dollars this place got from Bill deBlasio (500M) it looks like a dump. The residents of this place terrorize the local businesses. They beg for food which leads everyone to the burning… question....what did this place do with all that money?? Hmmmm. The security can at least make the place more livable. Instead you get drunks and users living it up in the rooms.
You have to take the best of what's in front of you and leave the garbage at the door use what's offered and become the suns daughters that your family needs. God bless you all.
When I came to that shelter I was put on the worst floor. The 6th floor where men are drinking ingredients alchol and smoking cigarettes. Then I wass transferred down to the third floor whi ch is supposed to be the… medical floor and my stuff was stolen my winter jack and my nebulizer zero which I'm a severe asthmatic. Project renewell staff told me that there was a coat drive a couple blocks away which it was a lue. The staff at project renewal was nasty except the medical staff. Dr.vordurum and Dr Hanna and William the the suboxone Dnurse practices was very nice.
My friend has been there almost 8 months and he’s moving out soon. He tells me all the time how great the staff is and that they helped him realize he can still become something in life. he would tell me about his… recreation specialist i think her name is Lisa and how she will stop whatever she’s doing to help him and how much it means to him because he was ready to give up but the staff there are literally life savers and they don’t even know it. Thank you all at 3rd street shelter!!!
Had security. Staff is ok. Food is not too bad.
It saved my life, 3 years, 8 months, and 3 days free from Crack and Alcohol!!!
I see my dr pretty quick.
Absolute nightmare.
When you have no place to go. Good Detox. No insurance required.
