Recorded services at Resources for Human Development – Homestead are residential treatment. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Resources for Human Development – Homestead Address, Location and Contact Information
You will find this provider at 1800 West Street, Homestead, Pennsylvania, 15120. This address falls in Allegheny County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

Absolutely DISGUSTING program. Unless you like having your HIPPA rights violated, being discriminated against by your race, having your trauma and freedom held above your head, being fed nothing but carbs and calories… with no opportunity to lose the weight because they can't keep enough staff to take you anywhere, being forced through withdrawals from your MAT because their doctors think Suboxone causes precipitated withdrawals from the Sublocade injection, having your medical complaints ignored, not having a grievance procedure, and listening to staff members scream and argue at their significant others over their cell phones every day and you get treated like human waste for disturbing their verbal abuse sessions, I would not recommend this facility at all. The only recommendation I would give away for this facility is for the state to come and investigate it. Oh yes, I almost forgot, if you want to visit with your children, you have to be okay with convicted child predators being around your children because "they live here too" in a building that's connected to a school for special needs children and right across the street from a little league baseball field. This place is nothing more than a welfare insurance scheme. This used to be an amazing program just a few years ago, but with how it is now I wouldn't recommend this to anyone that I cared for in the slightest bit. I will keep this review updated as things either progress or get worse.
Very little professionalism by a few and none by most. Staff walks around and calls each other by the “street handles” or nicknames. Does not treat everyone the same. Employees spend an exorbitant amount of time on… there phones i.e. personal calls, watching movies, social media, etc. I do not understand how some staff can constantly walk around the facility, be on personal calls using Bluetooth, and maintain Hippa rules? Also, does not meet people where they are at. For example, I have medical issues and when ever a staff member feels like going outside on a whim in the heat and humidity, I was told it’s a clinical group and I have to go to get participation. I was willing and able to be at a group in the group room, but not sit around outside for 2 hrs in the heat and humidity. Especially when the park that she wanted to go to was almost a mile away. I am made to take buses on my own dime to necessary medical appointments because they are short staffed. Some of the commutes from beginning to end can be 4 hrs with all the bus travel and wait times. How is that appropriate at all?? They make us make our own meals and call it “life skills” but do not actually teach us how to cook or prepare meals. Just ask what we are going to make and what are the ingredients, then presume I can go in and make it for the whole community. I have no idea how to cook, and aren’t we supposed to be getting help coming out of mental health and addiction issues? How do they assume we can all cook at all? I’ll probably get in trouble for posting this review, but if I can help someone from making a poor decision in coming here, it is worth it.
I absolutely loved this place and 95% of the staff. I honestly really wish I had stayed longer, I regret leaving quite often actually.
