Sorec Behavioral Health – Pittsburgh Detox and Rehab Services

What Sorec Behavioral Health – Pittsburgh offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

Sorec Behavioral Health – Pittsburgh Address, Location and Contact Information

The facility address is 1789 South Braddock Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15218. Pittsburgh sits in Allegheny County. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.

Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Don’t bother. They have such a limited scope of services 9.9 times out of 10 they can’t help. Don’t dysregulate yourself for not reason. Trust.

I called cactis because I was having sucidal ideation and thoughts of self inflicted harm. I was on the verge of a panic attack and it was making the thoughts worse. I called to tell them and ask for support. (keep in… mind it was a school morning) I explained to the person that I was having ideations and self harm thoughts and she told me I was fine and to go to school. She showed not one OUNCE of concern for my wellbeing or the thoughts and completely dismissed me. Disgusting.

Resolve saved my life. The program is what you make of it. For all of the negative reviews, please take them with a grain of salt that it is a mental health facility and staff and resources are limited. You have to be… willing to advocate for yourself and get the help you want and need. No one can force you to accept the program and referrals but yourself. The group therapy seriously changed my perspective and talking to the other patients was a blessing.

I’m physically disabled. They set this “plan” on me in which I have to meet them outside of my residence. There have been days I’m homebound. Do they care? No!! I’m to meet them outside at anytime I request a crisis… team. They’re saying my residence is unsafe. Where teams open my doors to let fresh air in. I’m like, you open it, you close it. Fair, right? Not in their mouths. My residence is spit spot clean. Safe for even a child. Don’t ask for a team when you’re physically unable to meet teams outside. One, neighbors hear EVERYTHING!! Two, it’s against HIPAA. Yes, now my neighbors know everything about me, even my landlord. Lucky enough I’m not being evicted. Cameras inside & outside. Next time if it’s -60°F I’ll ask for a team. Let them freeze standing out there. Complaints after complaints. Tomorrow it goes to the county.

Resolve crisis, is trying to resolve my crisis while I am on medication and have a huge crisis that I care not to explain here. I always returned to resolve crisis and I can know that there are good staff that helps me… even when there are obstacles against us both.

Absolutely poor conduct from the employee at the front desk around 7:30 AM on 6/2. Scolded those of us waiting to get in for pressing the call button more than once. Proceeded to chastise a young person and their mother… until they sounded choked up, and then treated me the same. As I left, a separate employee who overheard the interaction followed me outside to provide resources (I didn't catch your name, but if you see this, thank you). I ended up in far more distress than I walked in with, and I was only hoping for support to point me in the right direction. I have the utmost respect for those in this field and understand burnout; however, this experience was terrible. I would hope those in a front facing position could muster at least a neutral demeanor. I worry about what this type of treatment may do to someone in a more fragile state. Yes, I have filled out the UPMC feedback survey.

Staying here currently, schizoaffective and been through many hospitals and programs. Got taken in around 4pm, told literally nothing after the intake not even where to get my medication from, only to be told that they… refuse to give me my own prescription I brought from home. It is the only medication I have been on through all the trail and error of the past 12 years, it’s for insomnia and nightmares, and their only reason? A psychiatrist who has never spoken to me is known for being stingy. I’m not staying here another night.

Horrible program. They offer nothing in regards to mental healthcare. Yet they are the only after hours emergency services offered. I have been calling for over a year and got nothing but disrespect, told to tell them… what would be best in my time if crisis and hung up on when I am too aware of services they offer.

I am writing to formally address my concerns regarding the treatment I received at the Resolve Crisis Center following my phone call with Kelcy on March 2, 2026. I should just everybody to avoid coming here they is only… there to want your signature to get paid. During my interaction, I overheard a staff member referring to my situation as a "non-emergency," which I found deeply disrespectful. I am concerned that the current staff members do not care for the well-being of individuals in my position. I have observed a pattern where I am treated poorly for advocating for myself and stating that I do not tolerate disrespect or discrimination. Furthermore, I want to clarify my situation regarding housing and safety. I have been repeatedly asked if I want to go to a shelter, despite having explained numerous times that I do not feel safe in those environments due to past personal trauma. Additionally, staff members have incorrectly suggested that I have thoughts of self-harm. I want to be clear that I do not have those thoughts, and it is frustrating to have my mental state misrepresented. I initially believed the Resolve Crisis Center was a safe place, but based on my experiences up to today, March 3, 2026, I feel disrespected and mistreated. I am sharing this feedback because I believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity regardless of their circumstances . I look forward to hearing how these concerns will be addressed. DON'T TRUST RESOLVE CRISIS!!!!! They do not care about their job or the people who use this service. If you say the wrong thing they will get cops involved, even if you explain all your trauma you have with police. If… you don't care about confidentiality and conversing with actually good-natured people, you can waste your time and lose your mind on a meaningless phone call with their "trained professionals".

You call and nobody will help you. They send you to a appointment and they have no appointment for you, waste of time. One cook is rude and pharmacy messesd up my medication. One security guy suckes, you have to take… almost all your clothes off. I don't recommend them for help but a place to sleep if you don't mind sleeping on the floor

Got kicked out today and had a appointment with Chris at another building. I drove there and he was not available. RESOLVE NEVER TALKED TO HIM AND HAD TO CALL ME BACK SAYING I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS. RULES ARE… DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. IM STANDING ON BRIDGE RAILING RIGHT NOW. THEY GIVE YOU NUMBERS BUT NO HELP. YOU SLEEP ON A FLOOR WITH A 1/4 INCH MAT.

Waste of time. Been there several times and basically told to find a homeless shelter. Think I'd be better off being an addict, there are more resources out there. The mental health system is terrible, little to no… support whatsoever. 😡

I was at Resolve Crisis Center last August 28, 2024. It wasn't that good that time around. I wasn't able to stay for a few days like I needed. I was just there really early in the morning and then had to go home in the… afternoon. The last time I was there in November 2021 I was there for up to a week and they helped me get into a DAS Program. I wasn't the only one being discharged quite soon other people were too. I don't know what was going on then. I guess it could be good if you get the proper attention and you can stay awhile otherwise, no it's not good.

I'll be fair and give them a two. I understand emergency mental health resources are limited in the county. I also believe this could be a life saving resource for some. However, having unlicensed people speak with a… level of authority that the recipient feels that it is medical advice is an absolute NO for me. I've been in and out of therapy since I was 11 (now mid 30s) and I know no therapist is not a one size fits all. But this place doesn't even have licensed therapist to talk to people in crisis. Instead they offer "peer specialist". No, not okay, with people in crisis listening to uneducated and unlicensed individuals who act they are the ones who are your savior is harmful. Just an FYI I was not the one in crisis. Through 988 and county resources after talking to the individual I was with, they suggested going here. So I went with them. I was just going to wait in the lobby. However the person I was with asked me to go with them. So this is what I observed. I thankfully was able to find great psychiatrist for them. Through that, they were able to get the resources they needed to start to recover. The experience at Resolve caused more harm than good for them.

Horrible! I called for help because my daughter and I were arguing and she was being defiant and breaking her stuff and beating the walls and broke her door and they came and sat down and the one guy sat there on his… phone and was texting while the other guy was talking and he kept looking at my tv and tv stand and the one talking said he would give me resources and never did. They left within 5 minutes maybe 6 at the most! I will never ever ever call this place again and I do not recommend this place either.
