Saint Vincent Family Services – Columbus Detox and Rehab Services

The provision listed at Saint Vincent Family Services – Columbus is residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Saint Vincent Family Services – Columbus Address, Location and Contact Information

The site is at 1490 East Main Street in Columbus, Ohio, 43205. This address falls in Franklin County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

My daughter is doing way better since St Vincent started services with her. A lot of the behaviors have settled down and we are able to manage her better.

Im a former residential victim of this place formerly known as st.vincent children's center. Ill never forget the smell of the churches chicken thats was right next door back then. I was molested and when i spoke up,… called a liar put in a room with padded walls that were ment for time outs. I was sat on and restrained so many times just for crying which they wrote up as being disruptive and 2 times had my head dragged back and forth while under restraint to the point it gave me rugburn on my forehead and entire side of my face....all for crying and missing my family. I have ptsd and still suffer from this places treatment of me as a kid. I could go on and on but it wont matter...theyre a business and money is there true incentive...dont be fooled..no saints there.

Mind you, this is just my personal opinion—it doesn't necessarily mean the experience will be the same for everyone. I transferred my daughter from her previous school, thinking this new one would be the best option,… but that turned out not to be the case. From the moment my daughter arrived, she had to put up with other students being rude or physically aggressive toward her, simply because the school lacks proper supervision over the children. They are also severely understaffed. And while my daughter is no angel, she is certainly not the type of child to go around attacking anyone. Then came the time to renew her 504 plan—something I’ve been requesting since December, as it was set to expire in March. And guess what? It is now May 4th; my daughter is about to finish the school year and will be moving on to another school since she is in 5th grade. In other words, if you are looking for quality care and attention for your child, think twice before choosing this place. On top of that, they keep claiming that the school has a policy against backpacks and phones—yet you clearly see other students carrying them. My daughter is forbidden from doing so by the rules; does that mean the rules don't apply to everyone? thank you for your time. My daughter doesn't use her cell phone while she's inside the school, and she carries a clear backpack so that everyone can see what she has inside—yet other students carry colorful backpacks, and nobody says a word to them.

My child’s behavioral health issues were becoming extreme and we were approved for OhioRise benefits. My child has had the benefits since last September. The case worker we were assigned completed one legitimate… appointment, then did the bare minimum. She would email me after 9 pm and sometimes after 10 pm then send me a text message asking me to sign a care plan by a short deadline or we would risk losing our benefits. I have asked several times for ways we could utilize these services and funds and Drina never followed up with me. No services were actually provided and I’m wondering if I need to report this to Aenta OhioRise because at this point, I don’t know what they ever billed for. I was trying to file a formal complaint. I finally got ahold of someone who was Drina’s boss’ boss. She was very kind and seemed supportive with wanting to be proactive. Drina’s direct supervisor was supposed to call me that following Monday, but I wanna say it was closer to the end of the week. I missed her call because I was at work. I have called week after week leaving that lady a voicemail. It turns out Drina’s supervisor is just as unresponsive and unhelpful as Drina. I am at my wits end because ultimately, my child has suffered because of these people lack of urgency or compassion in the field. Incredibly disappointing.

I was going to a therapist that day and I told her everything about what's going on with the reality of my life. And pretty much I got pretty annoyed that every weak she keeps repeating about her marriage and I talked… to her as friends which I got pretty annoyed, I was pretty much sad and depressed through my whole week with my struggles as she does not tell me anything which I was diagnosed. Ladies and Gentlemen, if you ever book a therapist here at st vincent. I won't do it plus you will face regrets

Do NOT send your kids here, PREP-ACADEMY IS HORRIBLE this place is losing contracts with children because this is not a place that help with children’s needs. Parents are pulling their children out of here daily because… the lack of service they provide. They do not help families build bright futures they will TRAUMATIZE A CHILD MORE!!! Rejeana and Jasmine are HORRIBLE people they are no help at all The children are not being taught anything the summer program is horrible, they will restraint your child and make your child sit in a blue room that is so dirty and scary it looks like jail. The food served to children is horrible my child would complain daily about not eating because they are feeding them disgusting meals , no activities are planned for the children the children is extremely bored here they allowed a student to hit my child multiple of times without telling me anything they do not keep in contact with parents for childrens needs This place has made children worst not better and I know others who sent there children here who have the same experience I’ve experienced , beware before making a decision to send your kids here. DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS PLACE STAFF IN HORRIBLE. The children need serious help and these people are only there for a paycheck NOT TO HELP OUR CHILDREN. ST.VINCENTS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! My child also experienced paranormal activity in this building as well

St. Vincent was able to get us in right away when we needed help. We are currently seeing Bethany and she has been absolutely wonderful. She really listened to the problems that we were dealing with and helped to… address them when no one else would. We were on the waitlist for Nationwide Children's behavioral health for over a year and even when we did get services there they were not helpful. Thankful for the support and help from Bethany.

If I could give it zero stars I would. My son was put in there right before Covid hit. He was abuse physically and mentally by staff. He was forced to take cold showers and was restrained to the point he had bruises.… Then when Covid started they stopped sending reports to our case worker about him. I FaceTime with him several times and he had unexplained bruises. He had a busted lip at one point from another kid. I was talking to him one when a group of boys decided that he needed to kiss another boy and because he didn’t they started hitting him. When I yelled repeatedly where was staff my son said they were sitting at a table talking and wouldn’t do anything to help him. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. I am in the process of getting a lawyer to sue them and the state of Ohio for letting places like this keep running. There was one staff there that told us to hurry and get our son out of there because of how he was being treated. It’s all about the money to this sick place!!!!

I absolutely love our case workers and counseling but that new psychiatrist Joanne she's awful and should not work with children at ALL she wanted to put my 5 year old on Lithium yes lithium like the lady wants all the… kids zombies she doesn't pay attention when anyone is talking Dr Christopher was amazing and I am so sad that he left I hope Joann is gone as well and you guys got a new psych. Erin Kand Molly B are the two best people I and my daughter have ever encountered as well as Ms.Denise A and Maria and Ms.Bre in the pre school room was so sweet my daughter still talks about her. Ms.Denice will do anything for us and she's been with my family for about 4 years now and we love her, please get a new psych I would love to bring my daughter back for all her care.

Went here as a kid and can’t count how many times I was abused by staff or staff allowed children to abuse other children or myself, after they or I had been manhandled into a restraint and slammed on the floor face… first, or putting my arm behind back so far up it was excruciating and felt like it was breaking, don’t forget the pinch on the pressure point to make me submit. Remember picking me up by my neck STACY and slamming me against the wall all because I called you a name. I was a minor dude a little freaking kid. How many bruises and bloody noses I had because of this place. I had to freaking live here too. Hannah Neil wasn’t much better. I Can’t pinpoint why or how I developed it, but I’m sure you’re partly responsible for my Borderline personality disorder. Look me up St. Vincent if you don’t believe me Mark Eugene Akers Jr.

As a child I went here and saw some unbelievable stuff they couldn't restrain me because of major health issues they went as far as restraining a kid infront of me this kid had to be 11-13 they had like 6 big guys… restraining him I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you don't do what you're told and act right you either get restrained or locked in a room with nothing. My brother was also one of these kids that experienced it and also my fiance of 23 years.

If I could give zero stars I would. My stepdaughter has been going there for 7mo and keeps being put in restraints, meaning people are holding her down. Putting pressure points on her all. She has been coming home now… for the last month with bruises and scratch marks. DO NOT let your kids go there..she comes home crying and more Agitated then when she went in.

First I want to say about 4 years ago they were amazing..... Now my son experienced a panic attack foaming at the mouth at the age of 7 I was 30 minutes away and expressed that I wanted them to call 911 Katlyn told me… she would have to call me back about the process of calling 911 I get there my son is foaming out the mouth screaming I found my son from his cries I'm yelling at them why didn't you call 911 so I'm in the process of sewing them thanks to Maria his CFI worker she helped make my decision and Joanne Engles the doctor needs to be fired

Terrible, the person they sent to my home did a no call no show 3 times. She also kept pushing to see my kid at school when she has an iep already and is taken out of the classroom enough, she also never communicated to… me on a behavioral plan and I’m still stuck, it’s been 3 maybe 4 weeks since my child has seen her and she has not said anything about stopping services, this place is very unprofessional and I will never recommend them again, back to searching for a special list that can help me, because st. Vincent is not the answer. If you’re comfortable with constant call offs or no shows and not being involved with the plan this is the place for you!

Let me take you back to the end of 2012 when I was in my third foster home and my caseworker decided to put me here. I was only 8. I was surrounded by kids with serious issues. The staff members were horrible. There was… one lady by the name of mrs Kim she was constantly putting her hands on us and threatening us. And Ms Paulette Jackson she got off on restraining people. Edph was a weird experience and I hated it so much. I loved my therapist I think her name was mrs brianna skidmore. Also the basement where the edph classes were held was haunted.

We love the community based services. We love that they go to schools and homes to work with kids, instead of having to take them to the office. They helped my sons behavior and he hasn't been kicked out of school since.

I went here as a kid and it was horrible they made me use the restroom on my self in the middle of the hallway restrained me very roughly when ever the guys felt the need. It’s not a place to help your children, it… ruins them mentally.

Very unprofessional place, if you have a child that deals with depression, DO NOT send them here. They insulted my little brother to my mother, saying he should be locked up somewhere and that they are not equipped to… handle him. No one deserves that amount of ignorance coming from people who are supposed to help children with issues.

They have a very strict attendance policy...Sick or not you better show up...During our short time there My Son got sick with covid and pink eye in which we had to cancel..That's 2 cancelations against us...The 3rd one… was canceled by them and they still held it against...The stress became too much so I removed him from their program...I do not recommend them ..If they cared so much about children a call off for an illness shouldn't be held against them when they obviously need help...

After two weeks, they finally answered the phone (the Spanish-speaking person) only to tell me my son is on a waiting list of 30 children. They were incredibly rude, by the way. What bothers me most is that they didn't… just tell me from the beginning that they couldn't take my son!
