Spindletop Center – Beaumont Detox and Rehab Services
What Spindletop Center – Beaumont offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The record shows integrated treatment rather than one problem then the other. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Spindletop Center – Beaumont Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 2750 South 8th Street, Beaumont, Texas, 77701. This address falls in Jefferson County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Patient name: Melanie Brewster Spindletop was much better during 2020 Now they call the cops on people every chance they can. Feeling emotional? Call the cops. Reaction to medication? Send the cops and tell them you’re… agitated. Need to speak to your nurse about your meds? Better send the police just in case. Thanks for causing me EXTRA trauma on top of the medication side effects. All I wanted was to speak to a counselor. They have 1 therapist. She’s always busy and it’s hard to get appointments, or get in contact with her. Once I was rescheduled because of a power outage when I came in she was shocked no one even told her they scheduled me even though I called twice to confirm the date and time. My meds just make me feel like I’m deteriorating more, and talking to a screen instead of a real life in person doctor feels so disconnected and useless. Oh and if you do visit Spindletop be prepared to be harassed and hit on by creepy old men they won’t do anything about it. I just wanted help..
I began seeing NP Amanda Seal at Spindletop in may I believe. My first appointment was the intake appointment. The process was quick and then a month later I actually got to see NP Amanda. Amanda Seal has been amazing… to me, as well as all other staff. At my actual appointments I never wait more than 20 minutes. Amanda ALWAYS is so patient, kind, and listens so well. I cannot commend her enough on her listening skills. She searches for the right approach and caters to your situation. She makes me feel safe and cared for. After trying to withdrawl from Effexor (SNRI) on my own for 2 years, I was finally able to get off of it thanks to her help and how she made me feel. I knew i could call on spindletop if the withdrawl was bad, but because of the way she helped me the withdrawal was so much better this time. Now we are getting me situated into some new SSRI’s and shes helping me navigate that and so far I feel a lot better! Please give Amanda Seal a raise. Honestly the whole staff is great. •If i had to make any complaints its this: After my intake appointment i did have to wait 3-4 weeks to actually be seen, but i completely understood that they are busy. They are worth the wait. I always say if the business is booked and busy get in line—its a good sign! •Once established, the scheduler kind of just hands you a paper and tells you when your next appointment is instead of asking what works for you, but if you mention that the date or time does not work they will adjust!
Great services are provided here free of charge if you qualify....Everyone qualifies if you fill out the paperwork and are truly broke. It takes about a month once seen before you even get your medications, but once… your in it works like clockwork.
Yall have failed me once again, I’ve have waited 12 hours just to be told to come back at a later date. I would like to get help but the lack of therapist is definitely showing here. It’s just best to go to the hospital… then sit here and get harassed by all the old men. You even tell them you’re uncomfortable with having to wait with the men drooling over you and they don’t do anything about it. Horrible service. I even had a referral and was still told to come back. EDIT: Came back 2 days later, it’s the same thing. I’m waiting on a call back from a supervisor. It’s now day 2. How are you going to allow someone to sit there asking for help multiple times and yet still refuse cause “the next appointment showed up so you’re being moved” it’s complete nonsense and bullshit. If I could give negative stars I would
Worst care I have ever received and I am saying this as a long term client (since 2016) who recently stopped going due to a traumatic experience by their very own best doctor (Doctor Mark Bradley Morman to be exact) who… should have their license revoked for what they did to me last. Over a period of years, I spent my time not being listened to or taken seriously by this doctor. This doctor also has drug hysteria to the point where he took no accountability for me getting addicted to a medication I explicitly asked him not to prescribe me back in 2021 (told him I didn't want to be on a stimulant due to past addiction issues and put me on Wellbutrin immediately after which is a known stimulant and drug of abuse) and blamed it all on me and saying how it was my responsibility to "mend the relationship". I won't go into my own history of personal trauma either caused by or involving this place, but the final straw for me was Doctor Morman trying to commit me to detox against my own will back in February just for admitting to him I was on any substance. (A substance which I did in fact quit right after, and experienced absolutely no symptoms, let alone anything that would warrant this kind of behavior from a "professional") This "Doctor" then preceded to yell at me(actually raise his voice and bare his teeth. , literally looking at me like a rabid dog ready to bite) and called multiple people in trying to convince me to be detoxed and admitted against my will. After finally being permitted to leave the room after being in tears and shambles internally, I had to wait over 30 minutes to be granted the privilege to leave when I was never a danger to myself or anyone else in the first place. I have worked professionally in healthcare for years, including at Spindletop mind you (that's a whole different review) and I have NEVER seen anything as atrocious in healthcare as what he did to me. Not even the countless other things Spindletop has failed to do for me yet consistently promises. I'm currently homeless and staying with family, trying to get my life back together and feel safe even going outdoors. Spindletop and Doctor Mark Bradley Morman took any shred of dignity or trust I had in our medical professionals in this country left. They deserve to at the very least have this broadcasted on their page that they did this to someone and I promise you are doing it to countless others. It is a dream for this company or doctor to never have the ability to practice in this world again. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE SEEKING HELP. YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE
DO NOT TRUST THIS INSTITUTION WITH YOUR MENTAL HEALTH!!! Unfortunately, in order to leave ANY rating I have to give one star. This establishment is so awful, If I could give it zero stars, I would. The… unprofessionalism, blatant disregard and downright INCOMPETENCY of the doctors and staff is just absolutely appalling. My boyfriend has been going here for years, and has suffered from suicidal ideations and crippling rebound psychosis, WAY more than once, due to their inability to provide prescribed medication. I wouldn't go here if it was the last mental health facility on earth. You'd bebetter off figuring it out alone! 😔
Wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this place find you a real psychiatrist.
Just called and the lady on the phone was rude, mean, and I was being courteous the whole time. Beaumont please do better!
The worst place ever!!! I’ve been going here since my early teens I have an appointment rn I’ve been here for over 45 minutes and every single person that came in after me had seen the doctor before me literally the… only one sitting in the waiting area Update: I ended up just rescheduling I sat there for almost 2 hours looking stupid
This place is incredibly dangerous for young adults trying to navigate their own mental health. We have been trying to get in to speak to a dr. Since July 2025, and we are now in October 2025. Every single time we have… an appointment set up, and take off of work to be there, they say they do not have him in the system, and that his paperwork is nowhere to be found. Paperwork with his personal information, mind you. We even had an advocate work with us, and she was amazing! However, they also treated her the same way that they treated us and she’s an actual employee through Spindletop. They gave her the run around for 4 hours. All of the sudden they found his paperwork, and everything listed on his intake form was absolutely false information. They even said we never showed up for his appointment, and I said check y’all’s cameras! We were there every single time. But they sent us away. My son never spoke with anyone in intake, because they said he wasn’t in their system at all. My son left Spindletop today in tears saying he feels like no one cares, so why should he? He left this facility feeling worse than when he went in. On top of this? The ladies at the front desk were so hostile with him, he actually feels scared to go back. He’s scared of retaliation, more gaslighting, and more lies. This place is very unsafe, especially for those of us who are neurodiverse. We are still waiting on a supervisor to call us back, to get more info., but I’m guessing that was also a lie. We will never be back here. We ended up getting help at a different facility, same day walk in. Do your research y’all! Believe the reviews!
I've been using Spindletop my entire adult life. I can't express how grateful I am for the team and the services offered/available to me in my darkest moments. I can't understand some of these reviews as they just seem… petty and not really about the service overall, but something they themselves didn't do and expected Spindletop to do it or anticipate it. That's not how it works. Anyway keep your head up team you're doing the best you can with the minimal resources offered by the state.
Is there an online portal for patients or parents? Should be if not, will help allot of confusion. Plus i feel be easier make appts that way.
Due to lack of care I was put in the mental institution and lost my apartment , the doctors can cancel whenever they want and not put your medication in. They're allowed to say and do whatever they want and will send… plain clothes officers to your front door.
If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would. Not only myself, but my little brother had a horrible experience here. Due to the lack of service he ended up in the mental hospital which could have been prevented… had this place assisted him. Not only did they NOT assist him but they also discriminated him and wanted to search him because he had a backpack and was dressed NICE. I called to speak to the intake manager and left a message but she didn't even call back. This place doesn't care about YOU or YOUR mental health, you are NOBODY to them.
This is the only place available that is very supportive of individuals who are down and out due to substance dependence, or emotional instability or mental illness. They are truly overwhelmed and underpaid. They help… adults and children. Help is almost nonexistent in Beaumont for those who can’t afford healthcare of this nature. Human mental recovery is handled here. The family system easily erodes without such repair and healing. Thanks for helping the people who seek healing their mind and body.
If I could give zero stars I would. My wife and I have been calling for 2 months. I got one call back and there systems were down. The manager said she was going to call back the next day and that was almost 3 weeks… ago. This place does not care about there new or existing patients. It needs to have new management put in place and what ever else. They need to do a lot better.
I have been trying to get my son in so he can get back on his medication he is 34 years old and we have been batteling his ups and downs but we can't talk to anyone and they don't call you back my son has been seeing… another doctor for his problems but the doctor he has been seeing is a child guidance counsler I wish That Someone from Spendeltop would at least call back
I love how friendly and kind all the staff is to my daughter it makes our journey with her illness so much better and trust me we have had lot of ups and down but with all the help and support we have received has… helped me be a better caregiver to my beautiful daughter so I would like to send a huge thank you to spindletop may you all get the same blessings in your life as you gave my daughter
Not for me but my grandson. Waited a month for his meds that weren't even ordered.
It sucks to see a loved one try to get themselves the help they need and this place continues to give them the run around. He has tried since the end of March to get back on his medication. Finally was prescribed the… meds May 25th now here we are June 21st and he still hasn’t gotten anything. And we call every other day to see if it’s ready. He’s gone back up there several times to ask in person. What do we need to do to get him his medication for his mental health? We’ve contacted both Beaumont and Silsbee location and nothing
My son is a patient. He called the Crisis Hotline on 10/20/2022 the lady said she would forward the issue to his Care Team....It is December 29th 2022....Still waiting for that call????
I have had an excellent experience with spindletop. They have helped me so much!!!
This place needs to be closed down. It is dangerous and if nothing else, needs a security officer there at 7:30 am. It was a HORRIBLE experience and my husband went with me so he could see for himself and we have… insurance. If this is all we have to choose from for help with insurance, we may as well not have insurance. The state needs to shut them down and SOMEONE in this area needs to open a decent facility preferably with a security guard and cameras.
My sister went here last Thursday for an appointment due to she needed refills on her bipolar medicine which she has been out of for an month because her original doctor retired. This was the earliest that she can get… on the date. Her appointment was at 12 & she didn’t get seen until 3:30. She spoke to the therapist for 30 minutes but the therapist didn’t prescribe any medicine nor give her any examples. Now she has to wait to see doctor next month & hopefully the doctor prescribe her something. What kind of place are they running? People are coming to them cause they’re mentally unstable & asking for an refill on their medicine. I mean she not there to get pills so she can get high on them. She is there cause her previous doctor retired & she already been diagnosed by the other doctor as bipolar. Oh I forgot to mention she is on Medicaid & everybody knows it’s much harder to find a doctor around here to take adult Medicaid. Hopefully this experience “complaint” will help someone out!
Someone just called from one of the offices trying to pawn someone off on the facility in which I reside, but wouldn't let me speak to the patient. They then proceeded to hang up on, then call back one minute after. The… manager of the facility I'm in answered, and she said I was being rude. He was standing next to me the whole time and informed her that I was not being rude, followed by her hanging up on him. 🤨 I'm glad I'm not one of their patients, if this is how they conduct themselves professionally.
