Total change my life fiscal, mental emotional, spiritual. Thank,s too step Denver and all the people Running this program
I was the lowest I'd ever been. STEP Denver helped me find my way back. The staff is exceptional and the program is designed for success.
I will not speak ill of any recovery center or rehab facility, having experienced 4 myself. Step Denver is the best because their specialty is holding me accountable to and for my recovery. There is no magic bullet,… just pure day by day work and no one to blame but yourself. You will be introduced to the community that will help you through thick and thin, just be willing to listen and listen to learn. It’s working for me and it can work for anyone who will do the work to change their life and manage their addictions!
Without Step Denver I'd either be in prison or dead. This program is truly a miracle factory. I went from barley surviving and feeling lost to addiction to a life now worth living. The staff truly care about you and do… everything in their power to make sure you succeed. I wake every day giving thanks to my higher power for the blessing I have received through sobriety. THANKS STEP DENVER AND FOR SHOWING ME IM WORTH LIVING A CLEAN AND SOBER LIFE.
Step Denver is the best long term treatment center in Colorado. I have gone through Step Denver's program twice now and I can say in full honesty that without the support of everyone involved in this facility, there is… a good chance I would be dead or in prison. It is not here to give hand outs, it is designed to teach men like me how to live a productive and successful life in sobriety. Sometimes it is hard and I would be lying if I said it wasn't difficult to adjust to the lifestyle of the program coming straight off the street in full blown addiction. But it works. The combination of experience and care from every member of the staff as well as the residents is what separates Step Denver from the rest. Every step of the way, from getting a job, to learning how to grow and care for oneself, to finally transitioning to independent living, Step Denver is here to help guide us along the way. I never thought I would be over a year sober with an amazing support system that ive built thanks to the help of Step Denver. If you are finally ready to let go of addiction, or even if you have no idea how to but know you want to try, Step Denver is the best place for you. The hardest part is walking through the door.
Step Denver literally saved my life...and is very much what you make of it. I travelled all the way from San Diego, CA to get sober at Step because I am unaware of a comparable program in California. It is unique in… what it offers and makes practical sense when you break down the program. Because of the love and support from Step staff, I'm confident, sober, employed, with a substantial savings account and a life I look forward to waking up to most every day. If you're at your wits with drugs and alcohol...and tired of feeling hopeless...like it's never gonna end...give Step a go and see if something similar can happen for you. Give 'em a call!
This program has changed my life. I could not have asked to be taken in by a better group of sober people who genuinely care to make you a better person. This is a very rare recovery program that is designed to make… people have the true desire to stay sober. They teach you all the tools and give you the support along the way. Every person that works in the facility has been through the same struggles and can truthfully relate to what your going through!
Step Denver gave me something I didn’t think I was capable of finding again, a life worth protecting. Step taught me that recovery isn’t just about putting substances down. It’s about accountability, discipline,… community, service, and learning how to show up for yourself and the people around you. I came to Step Denver carrying years of damage and believing I was too far behind. I left understanding that as long as I’m willing to do the work, I’m never too far gone to come back, and give back. If you’re struggling, don’t try to carry it alone. There is a way forward, and there are people willing to walk it with you.
Great place to go to if you want to get sober. This place has helped me and many others I know maintain sobriety. Many people come here not ready to get sober or not wanting to listen to anyone else and they have a bad… experience. If you want to get sober and are willing to be humble and follow a program this is the perfect place. Not a traditional rehab, and that’s why it’s effective.
Step Denver has been a transformative experience for me. I am almost one year sober because of the support and discipline I have gained from working this program. I would highly encourage those that are ready to truly… change their lives and who truly seek sobriety to enter this program. If you are ready to do the work all the tools you need to succeed are available here. It truly gives you the platform to begin again.
I am now a year sober completely free from mind altering substances for the first time since I was 12 years old thanks to step after 20 years of addiction. This place is strict but I needed strict and if you’re willing… to put in the work they will help you change your life dramatically.
8 months ago I was living in a homeless shelter drinking my life away. Upon the suggestion of a Step Denver alumni, i checked myself into this program. The program is strict. I was breathalyzed every time I entered the… facility and required to perform a urinalysis once a week. This accountability definitely assisted me in maintaining my early sobriety. I was assigned a Recover Support Manager, who I checked in with once a week. He was incredibly supportive, and I fostered a deep relationship with him that continues to this day. Step requires all residents to acquire employment to support themselves. This allowed me to reconnect with the outside world as well as provided a sense of pride in myself that had been lacking for many years. Every single day I stayed in the Step Denver program improved my life. As an alumni of Step Denver now, I would recommend this program to anyone struggling with alcohol and substance abuse.
Fantastic facility and staff, thoroughly well thought out program. This place saved my life.
Is a crucial part in my recovery, very thankful to them
Let me start off by saying I came here because of a recommendation from a family member. When you first arrive here you are not allowed to have an EBT snap card or a plasma donation card or any third-party assistance… money. Upon intake you are required to cut these up which I thought Was not the best option but I did it anyways out of necessity for a place to sleep. After that you are required to wash all of your things in the washing machine and take a shower and change in the scrubs and they give you a bag of food.“ Food “ I do put in quotation marks because it was a bag of processed garbage basically. Consisting of Ramen noodle packets, Chef Boyardee ravioli, kraft mac & cheese, Welches fruit snacks, granola bars, Hormel chili, and your final and probably most healthy option packets of oatmeal. I went into the facility not entering a detox before whichwas a mistake because they quite honestly do not care if you are still withdrawing from your substance of choice, mine happening to be alcohol. I lasted about three days until having to call an ambulance and be taken to Denver Health in the middle of the night. After returning from the hospital I received one day of being excused from classes and that was it. You wake up every morning on the weekdays at 6 AM when the lights turn on and are required to be upstairs for the first five days by 7:30 AM or out of the facility by 7:30 AM if you have already done your five day in House. If that’s the case you cannot re-enter the facility until 4 PM. I find this to be a very poor choice for individual suffering from substance abuse and being pushed into downtown Denver For almost 9 hours a day supposed to be “ job searching“ . On my fifth day there I received a UA and still had alcohol in my system from heavy drinking. This was the final straw and I was discharged immediately without being able to go downstairs and grab my things which were brought up to me. According to their policy if you still have it in your system on the fifth day you will be immediately discharged which I find to be BS. Some people are very heavy drinkers and might not have a metabolism like other individuals And they’re so cheap that they only use quick cup UA instead of lab grade UA to determine if the levels are going down. Overall I am not very impressed with this place but shout out to Mark at the career resource center there he is very helpful in building resumes and helping individuals find employment that was probably the one beneficial part about this entire program. Other than that you better come in there with some money to buy some real food or you’re going to be eating processed garbage for two weeks straight. And be ready to go over the 57 rules of step Denver and the seven deadly sins that will get you discharged. Overall I have to give it a two star and I wouldn’t even do that if it wasn’t for Mark at the career resource center. Tread carefully when thinking about this program
Of course it’s going to be hard. Of course you will need to take ua and show a commitment to getting clean. Getting sober is extremely HARD, but this place has your back if you’re willing to be honest and put your trust… in them. Thank you guys for offering this.
I went through this program and am now an alumni. Im proud to say this program really works it just needs more buildings throughout Colorado
The Step Denver Recovery Support Program absolutely saved my life. When I first came into the program I was an absolute disaster and I didn't know where to turn. With the help and guidance and support of the staff I am… very thankful and blessed to have gone through the program and now I have a fantastic life and live in a fantastic sober house. If you are truly serious about getting the help and support that you need and deserve then this program is the place to be. Everyone here truly cares.
I'm Sober today because of the things I learned here. These people can and will help you.
This place saved my life. Been here almost 4 months and it's completely changed my life for the better. It is a little strict but that's what my hardheaded addict mind needed. To all the staff & donors you guys have… helped me more than I can put into words, thank you
This place has done wonders for a few of my friends in the Denver Metro area. They needed a longer termed treatment and with help from the facility staff and sponsors they both are still sober and doing great.
I know alot goes on there but just to let anyone know the step program saved my life
They kick perfectly good people out of the program because of an EBT card that was for the benefit of the person's child!! Their hatred of government is stronger than helping people.
My name is Marvin Fischer. I'm forever in debt to the step program for saving my life and bringing my family back to gether. Thank you step program and all the staff, from the bottom of my heart.
This program saved my life. Anyone that gets kicked out of this program isn’t actually trying. I have been in this program for 5 months now and watched guy get booted because they couldn’t do simple things like show up… on time or clean up after themselves. It’s a shame they leave low reviews because they want to blame everyone except the person responsible. That’s just how it goes in addiction sometimes. The people here actually care. They aren’t here for your money unlike every other sober living program. You will pay less than half of what you pay elsewhere for a service that is twice as beneficial. I have been to plenty of sober livings where the owner is making more on the houses than most people make in Denver.
