About Uniting Communities Aboriginal Community Connect – Prospect
Aboriginal Community Connect is Uniting Communities‘ alcohol and other drug service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, based at Prospect in Adelaide, South Australia, on Kaurna Country. The approach is family- and culture-focused, strength-based and grounded in harm minimisation, and a referral is needed before support begins.

Cultural connection activities are guided by an Elders panel. Monthly emergency food relief and a needle outlet also operate from this address, and the service can be reached on (08) 8202 5660 or at acc@unitingcommunities.org.

Uniting Communities Aboriginal Community Connect Counselling Services
Counselling is the centre of Aboriginal Community Connect in Prospect: individual alcohol and other drug counselling backed by case management, with brief intervention available for anyone who wants a shorter piece of work. Group therapy runs alongside, and SMART Recovery sessions are part of the weekly offer.
Therapeutic groups include separate women’s and men’s groups, stress management, and art and craft sessions that double as a creative therapy. Cultural connection activities are shaped with an Elders panel, keeping the work tied to community and Country. A needle outlet and monthly emergency food relief sit beside the clinical work. Uniting Communities Aboriginal Community Connect Reviews
Reviews of Aboriginal Community Connect from around the web are limited, as they tend to be for Aboriginal community services that work quietly and locally. RehabSeekers hosts reviews for the Prospect site, and any community member who has used the service is welcome to share their experience.
Public comment about Uniting Communities usually covers the wider organisation rather than this Kaurna Country team. A first-hand view of the counselling, the women’s or men’s groups, the art and craft sessions or the Elders-led cultural activities would tell another family much more than a general rating of the provider.
