Unity Health Newport – Newport

Hands down this is the worst impatient stay I've ever experienced. No therapy, no water, and your medication changed with every shift change. The nurses were no help whatsoever and when you asked for help they made you… feel like a burden for making them do their job. If you care about your loved ones, never send them to this horrible facility.

This place is amazing!! Nurse Tammy goes above and beyond to make everyone feel human and comfortable. She has to be one of the nicest humans I’ve ever met. She is the epitome of what a nurse should be. She truly makes… this hospital function. Nurse Paula is also just as amazing. She is always making you smile even when you don’t feel like it. 110% recommend this hospital for all your needs.

I can not post a comment without giving at least one star, should be zero. They destroy families. They do want they want to - do not follow court orders. They do not pay any attention to patient food allergies; will… claim you are lieing about them because it is too inconvenient for them to make safe meals for patient. This is a horrible place in my opinion.

Natasha, the night RN was amazing. Dr. Speers was clear. Cady at the front desk was a sweetheart. I didn't catch the names of the other 2 nurses, but from start to finish, amazing. They listened. Im not use to being… listened to.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Step daughter took my 1 month 1 week old grandson there yesterday around 10am on 3/1/2025 because he was having a hard time breathing, they tested him for covid,flu,and rsv all came… back negative, so all they did was suction out his nose and sent him home. Just hours later they took him to NA Baptist in Jonesboro because he still couldn't breath, they did a full work up on him and come to find out he had fluid on his lungs and a clasped lung and tested positive for RSV, he was so bad that they med flight him to Childers Hospital in Little Rock. Right now he is sedated with tube's and wires all over him, they are hopeful but said that he will be there for at least a week. I am going to call Newports administrators Monday and voice my concerns about how they did nothing for my grandson, no ex ray, no blood drawn no nothing. My lawer says there might be more we can do. They better hope and pray that my grandson pulls through this.

Took my elderly mother to the ER during the day. The staff were so wonderful with her. Very professional got her taken care of very quickly! Had her admitted overnight for observation and she received the best care.… Thank you Unity Health- Newport!!! When we got her home her primary care doctor, Dr. Nicole Lawson with Unity Health in Searcy personally called to check on her since she had missed her scheduled appointment!!!

You have got to be kidding I would not go to this hospital for anything. The staff is very rude, ignorant and have no care for the patients.

Always good experience

Just was put in a cab and given my discharge papers but was never given a mesh that was given to a nurse. I want to know why? I filed a complaint against a nurse named Jennifer for me in my room she man handled me I… lost my balance went to the floor . I will have bruises very unhappy a doctor who smacks his gum while trying to talk with you this is out of line and very my dogs have no dogs have better doctors. DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL IF U DON'T HAVE TO. PLEASE GO TO BATESVILLE OR JONESBORO. This hospital is a bandaid hospital at best.

Don’t waste your time if you are a heart patient. No cardiologist, they don’t even have the equipment to do a basic echo. Horrible horrible place. Don’t know how this is considered a “hospital” when they cannot even… provide basic emergency services.

Worst hospital I've ever been to in my life!!! The first night I wouldn't have even gotten supper if I hadn't asked them 4 times when supper was and why I hadn't gotten anything. I had told them when I arrived that I… was lactose and gluten intolerant but yet every meal I got had gluten. After i finally, at almost 8, got some supper i reminded them about the intolerance and then the next morning they brought me milk with my meal which contained gluten again. Every meal i reminded them and every meal pretty much everything in the meals contained gluten. Not once did they even offer to switch out my meal with something gluten free. Every time I told them they said they would put it in the computer or whatever but apparently they never did or they just didn't care. Luckily i had brought some snacks but anyways EVERYTHING i have asked for (nicotine inhaler, towel, drink, meds to help with my symptoms) it would take at least an hour usually longer if they even brought it at all. There were multiple times I asked for a drink and never got one.

I just recently had a baby on Valentine’s Day 2023! I loved the nurses at Unity Health and my Doctor (Doctor Jones) The nurses made me feel at ease, as this is my first child and I was afraid. I had to have an emergency… C section and Dr. Jones did great taking action and taking care of me. The man who did my epidural was also wonderful, quick and effective I had a great experience at Unity Health!

Had mammogram ad ulta sound. The stuff was very nice and friendly.

Honestly could not have had a better experience! We had one single nurse that I could have done without but otherwise everyone was wonderful. This meant alot to me with this being my first child. The nurses, my doctor,… the anesthesiologist, they were all wonderful to me and my husband ❤️

Appointment was timely. Dr Smith very nice.
