About Walker Center – Gooding

Walker Center operates from 605 11th Avenue East in Gooding. The site sits in Gooding County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Jerome. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Hospital inpatient care, detox and residential treatment are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Walker Center

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together.

Walker Center Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 605 11th Avenue East, Gooding, ID 83330, in Gooding County. The catchment reaches Jerome. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Opening hours shift with staffing, and an evening slot one month may not exist the next. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

I was truly blessed to get the chance to go to this treatment program. I have been to many different programs some 45 days some a year, but the 60 days I spent at the walker center did more for me than any of them… combined. The staff at the walker center really do care about each and every one of the men and women who have the opportunity to seek treatment through them. I don't think there was one staff member that I disliked and that's not easy for me to say about most of the places I have gone to. If you need help or are struggling with addiction this place will help you. They will help you get the skills you need to work through the trauma you have had in your life that keeps you from recovering. Thank you for everything you all did for me. I miss everyone there and can't wait till I can come back on alumni day. God bless. Shanisy

As someone who has struggled with addiction for 20 years, and attended several other inpatient treatment centers. Going to The Walker center is the BY FAR best decision I’ve made in my life. If you need help, please go… to the walker center and get it. The approach taken to recovery is amazing and in many ways unorthodox, Which as an addict is exactly what I needed. 58 days clean and sober today thank you !

The walker center was the best decision I’ve ever made! I was at my lowest point and in a place of desperation when I decided to call the walker center. It was a decision that changed my life completely and I am beyond… thankful! The staff is great and most importantly you get to share a bond with the other residents trying to better their life as well! If you’re struggling I can’t recommend this place more!!

This place was a joke. If you're looking for real help i recommend Moonlight Mountain. At the Walker Center the councilor Jenn made me feel uncomfortable and like I couldn't be open and feel safe like I should have and… she kept forgetting about me. My clothing was stolen and then after they finally found it in someone else's laundry the head councilor Vince had the audacity to tell me that I was just needing to change the way I look at things. He was inconsiderate and did not make me feel like I was in a safe space. I would give 0 stars if I could

The Walker Center changed my life. I was terrified, I had never been in treatment before, I just knew it wasn’t for me. Little did I know just how amazing and life changing my 2 months with the Walker Center would be. I… owe my life to the amazing staff and know that I wouldn’t still be here today if they hadn’t have helped me. Seeing the world from sober eyes has been an amazing experience, one that I won’t ever take for granted. They gave my kids their mom back… I can’t say enough good about this place. If you need help, I highly recommend giving The Walker Center a chance. The staff, lectures, groups, food, classes and atmosphere were all great. Thank you Walker Center.

I have never been to a treatment center this well run ever, and I've been to 6 other treatment centers, 5 in Idaho. The treatment I received here was beyond superior!. The counselors were awesome, the staff were more… than helpful in every way. Even the CEO here is like nothing I've ever experienced before. I never suggestion another treatment center to anyone that is having trouble with addiction. Even if you live in another state I would still recommend coming to the Walker Center, the trip is well worth the treatment you well receive here! What a pleasure to know I'm leaving with the maximum skills one can learn in a treatment center. My sincere thanks to all the staff here at the Walker Center 🙌 🙏 👏 Sincerely Jay Malone
