White Deer Run of Lehigh – Bethlehem Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 1620 Riverside Drive, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, 18015. Bethlehem sits in Northampton County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

By far the worst rehab on earth , didn’t learn anything food is trash people are rude and undertrained honestly I could never send a dog here. Flies fly around and the facility is filthy I’ve been in cleaner jails, no… gym no amenities whatsoever your literally just a paycheck for them. Do not send your loved ones here if you really love them.
I owe this place a big apology. I admit I manipulated a situation to fit my narrative without realizing how much harm my review has cost them ,their staff, and other recovering addict. Not only did I relapse after I… ended up going to pyramid twice and didn't even bother to thank the directors of this place for giving me a 2nd opportunity to begin with. So since I'm in recovery now Im very greatful this place put me on the path to recovery and showed or taught me things about myself I never knew gave me an opportunity to become a better more self aware version of my self for that I'm grateful for places like this to keep their door open for addicts such as my self. If you feel this place did you wrong come that's due to addiction's perspective please I pray you get better and go again when the time is right and give a review when you are in a better more appropriate state of mind . I was selfish self centered and arrogant I no longer see from active addictions point of view . Please don't ruin this places reputation if it doesn't work for you because at least they keep the doors open to help anyone seeking recovery. Once again I'm grateful and I apologize for the mess I left behind I hope you guys accept this apology and may God bless yous all 🙏🏽. Love , Gabriel P
This facility, as with all facilities of this nature, has its strengths and opportunities. However, what I would like to recognize a few staff members who went above and beyond for my treatment. Elliott (tech), was… extremely patient and attentive to the clients needs on a daily basis and always had an amazing attitude. Justin (nursing) who did my intake, my discharge, was beyond helpful in some dificult situations, and very pleasant to work with. And my counselor, Rich, who showed extraordinary patience with me, attention to detail, always honest, and helped me gain a new perspective on, not just my recovery, but the way I look at my relationships and my goals for the future. There are other great staff members as well, but these 3 made a major positive impact on my stay. Thank you to Elliott, Justin, and Rich! (Additional call outs for John (case worker), Miss V, Paula (tech), and Nas (chef))
In my opinion, this facility is not used to its full potential. However, my counselor Rich W. was excellent. I was able to take care of everything I needed on the outside and was able to get the help I needed as well.… Rich was a joy to work with.
My counselor, Rich was very supportive. He has a A great understanding of addiction and recovery. I learned a lot from him about myself and the science of recovery.
I had called ahead before I checked in to make sure I was going to be able to take certain prescriptions of mine. I was told I was able to but in the 4th day there they immediately discharged me. I had no warning or… anything before they had my discharge papers to sign. Also the rooms all have bed bugs which they knew about but didn’t say anything to me until I was all Bit up and actually caught one to prove it to them. I need help in life and all this place did was set me back another week and I’m back in the same spot now trying to find help again. I can’t explain how frustrating this was and I would never recommend anyone go there for help.
You sincerely could not pay me to go to this place again. Buckle in, this is a long review, but heed my warnings. —They refuse subutex until you’ve been there for 48 hours. They spoke to me as if I was stupid. Was told… they’ve “actually had people still go into precip even after 48 hours, would you rather have a seizure and die because we gave it to you too early?” (Um…? Since when would that happen…??) —When I picked up my belongings, they claimed that they couldn’t find any of my medication I had brought with me, that it was not written on my belongings list, and eventually straight up said I was mistaken and I didn’t come with any medication. When I opened up my bag of belongings, my 2 medications were in one of their company branded bags that looks like a pharmacy bag sitting right on top of all of my stuff. How are you a REHAB but lose track of medication! —There was one single occupancy bathroom in the detox quarters and none in the individual rooms so god forbid you got sick. —It may sound ridiculous to worry about this but there are no tv’s at all in the bedrooms (and obviously you have no access to your cellphone) which would help you to keep your mind off of being severely ill so every minute genuinely feels like a lifetime. I just looked and there are several brand new 32 inch tv’s for $70 online so you can’t tell me that they can’t afford that. Not even books are technically allowed that aren’t recovery focused. Politics book? Passion/interest/hobby book? Nope. —Within my first 2 hours there, the one nurse started a fight and started yelling and cursing at their coworker right in front of me. —When I wanted to AMA, they said they would not allow me to use their landline to contact someone for me to be picked up, nor would they allow me to use their WiFi once I got my cellphone back, since I had no service and knew my phone was at 5% with no charger on top of it. This place is in the middle of nowhere and it feels to me like they only have those policies to attempt to discourage you from leaving and from them losing out on your insurance money. Seems infinitely more dangerous than “helpful” to refuse this courtesy. Was told in a snarky tone “well that’s something to think about if you plan on leaving, isn’t it?” when I brought this up. They told me it was my disease speaking, the fact that I wanted to “run away” from facing my problems which is not true at all. I completed another detox and 30 day program no problem at all when I went somewhere that wasn’t awful like this place was. Suffering through detox does not magically mean you will be more likely to stay sober. —I’m a size medium pants and the only pants they had to give me to switch into until they went through my stuff and gave to me several hours later, had to of been at least a size 2XL. I likely could have fit an entire other body my same size into the empty space left after pulling the waist band strings as tightly as possible. No brief, basic apology was even attempted regarding this. —Groups go from roughly 8am to 9pm and you are required to attend each and every one. —The rules state that you are not allowed to to “comfort or offer a tissue” to someone in group who may be starting to break down because it’ll “interrupt their process” —You share your detox room with someone else so again, god forbid you or the other person is violently ill or restless like it’s assumed you will be while detoxing. —The beds were essentially prison cots. —No ability to roam around or smoke a cigarette between 10:30pm and 6:45 am when you’re restless. —You have a choice of like 5 items for breakfast but aren’t allowed both hot food and cereal because god forbid. You’d think this place doesn’t get highly subsidized by the state with how stingy they are about everything there. It was just a horrible experience. I’d highly recommend just going to a hospital for detox and then only going here afterwards if you need a program. I would straight up not trust this facility with your detox.
As a family member of a resident here I would highly recommend this facility. If you are willing to put in the work for your own recovery this is an effective facility. One of the benefits of the facility is not only… the small number of residents, but the Counselor Rich's communication with family/support is exceptional. In working with Rich I was able to learn about the recovery process, but also learn so much about how to be an effective support system. In speaking with my family member who was there, everyone from Rich the Counselor to the Techs and other support personnel provided personalized, compassionate care throughout the stay. If you or a loved one requires inpatient rehabilitation care and is willing to work to achieve sobriety, this is a good choice.
I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking to work the program. My counselor, Rich, was a vital role in my recovery process and I truly don't know where I would have been without him. He went out of… his way to ensure I was acclimated properly, educated me about many aspects of addiction/recovery, encouraged me throughout the whole program and was extremely thorough regarding my aftercare. All staff was wonderful, however Rich being my counselor was the biggest blessing a client could ask for. His compassion and care for his career and clients are more than evident. I am truly grateful for Rich as he's truthfully impacted my life and recovery in all the best ways possible.
Not a place for a nuerodivergent person of any kind. Staff ignored pleas of worsening mental health and to get anything done case wise had to speak to various people of unknown positions because the left hand was… unaware of the right. Came clean about disordered eating but was brushed off while they also claim to be "dual diagnosis". Was ostracized from the community regarding hygiene concerns but staff ignored pleas to use the washing machine and dryer. They have clothing donations but apparently no access to them. This makes attempts at staying clean in that sense untenable. Some staff were very kind but often you get treated as paperwork instead of human. Staff would use preferred names like the wind changes directions. I was misgenedered so often I just gave up bringing it up. They're training on sexuality and gender identity is so old they list "transgender" as a sexuality instead of a a way a person experiences their gender identity. My dead name was outed in front of other clients who knew me entirely from my preferred name. Staff knew of the interpersonal conflicts but allowed the community to police itself. Another commenter had said that the clients run the show whish is quite true. Do not attend this facility if you are nuero or gender diverse. No protections nor considerations will be given to you as a protected class. Come here. Get clean, leave. All you are dollar signs to them.
I only just got done with the intake phone call with Crystal, and I already feel like things are going to be better. If even half of the staff members at the facility I go to are as kind, professional and understanding… as she was then I know that this will be a great experience
Disappointed to say the least dropped a family member there 445pm and by 930am the next day checked out. Witnessed clients cheeking meds and passing them off to other clients, nursing staff witnessed as well and still… gave the client more meds. Staff then called to tell me that my family checked out and they were very rude. When I tried to make said staff member aware she made all kinds of excuses and very rude. My family member was treated very rudely as well. I actually feel like maybe things should be looked into by the state. I would not recommend this facility. If I could give zero stars I would. To further this review another client witnessed these same actions for 3 weeks. Finally opened up in group and they laughed at this guy.
When I came here to detox, the first night I stayed there I woke up in the middle of the night full of bites from BED BUGS. I had to move out the room and they didn’t have a room for me until my last day there. The… comfort meds helped me a lot, you can’t bring vapes but you can bring cigarettes which was very unfortunate for me since I smoke vape and not cigarettes. I would’ve sued but when you go in, you have to sign a paper stating you can’t sue them for whatever reason if anything happens (I’m not too sure on this but this is what I was told when I signed electronically and didn’t get a physical copy). Other than that some of the nurses were rude and some weren’t.
Avoid being institutionalized if you can help it. You will be trapped as the milk state insurance while assuring you it's all for your good. Not that seeking help isn't a good idea. Avoid this if you can. My experience… was I committed voluntarily and was kept months too long in a facility that was a correctional overflow for plea bargains seeking lesser sentencing via 'rehab'
I went there for a detox and got through barely. I got talked into staying longer for the program but ended up walking out on my 8th day. I spent one week there and walked out AMA.... as there were numerous conflicts… between staff and clients. There were major arguments and almost fights everyday. The staff and nursing were actually really nice but i was lied to about being able to pick my stuff up. The nursing also confused me with another person twice. They initially said i would have to wait until the next day i left on a wednesday and im not able to pick my stuff up until the following monday.....i wouldnt suggest this place unless it was the only option left. but im still clean after going there because after that experience i never want to go to a rehab or drink ever again.
Awesome place if you want Real Recovery. It works if you work it. My Counselor Rich is the man and saved my life. Shout out to my WDR people, 13 months clean and counting!!
this is hands down the worst recovery center I have ever ever been too. I can’t say enough bad things about this place. From the techs, to the director. I got in an altercation with another girl who threatened to fight… me and came in the same bathroom as me, they did nothing. Wrote no reports on it and brushed it off. Then I followed up to get my belongings after 72 hours, and went back to the center. For a tech to come outside, following with the director who came outside to tell me “ I was supposed to call” my Father told them donate it and we left. The shed with my belongings was 20 feet away and open. Do not ever come to this center. It’s unsafe, and unprofessional. The entire time I was there they fed me medication and I saw my counselor once. I can’t say enough bad things and could go on & on. Don’t ever come here, I left feeling worse then when I first walked into the door.
WDR was my first and hopefully last rehab. I didn’t really know what to expect but I can say this place and everyone who works there are top notch. From the kitchen staff to housekeeping. The nurse and techs cared more… about my recovery than I did. They really try to work with you. My case worker Donna was the bomb and even though she was in charge of my case that didn’t stop any of the workers from helping me when I needed it. The techs have a story of their own and they really get it. No one was judge mental and they treated everyone like a human being. There isn’t one person who worked there that I wish I didn’t meet. I honestly wish I could have bought them all home with me. Even the community was awesome. Clients helping clients. I give WDR a 10+ on the rating skill. The director even steps in and got his hands dirty. It’s team work at its best. I honestly fought the program the whole time for my own reasons. A week later I’m still sober ❤️ Thanks WDR for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself you guys made a good impact on me and my family Loves y’all more. Good luck to anyone who joins this program you will not be disappointed ❤️💪
A joke of a facility. I was refused services due to not having access to medications and having used drugs they cause hallucinations. I called And asked to speak to the head of admissions and heard nothing
I have completed this program. 10 months ago I was a hopeless alcoholic. Today with a few setbacks I have continued my sober life with many blessings. Without the help I received at this facility I doubt my life would… be as beautiful and full as it is. The counseling and community support I received there pulled me out of a hopeless existence. God Bless WDR Lehigh. Margie Charles Melanie Rich Marion and Chris.Kelly.
I was interested in the Bethlehem facility. Over the last couple weeks I have emailed them a few times. I also left a voice message last night. I've heard nothing back. I had two simple questions. If you were not going… to follow through by email correspondence why do you allow it? I don't want to get roped into a very long conversation when I am first trying to find out two very important questions. Do you accept cdphp essential plan and do you provide transportation I don't understand why somebody can't simply email me back
I'll possibly change my rating once but daughter completes. But at this time you all need to get it together on what can be dropped off. TWO different people dropped off items to 2 different patients. 1 you allowed to… drops off tasty cake snacks. And the other you turned all snacks AND deodorant away and only allowed the hard candy and cigarettes. Can you PLEASE post a list of what's allowed and keep it consistent.
Call there for my wife and they told us she was all set ready to come in on the 1st then we were recalled and told us we bed won't be ready till the 8th we called on the 7th to make sure everything was set then they… told us the insurance wasn't the right insurance place is nothing but a joke on the phone with them they never explain nothing like that in the beginning they told us the bed was ready on the 1st then on the 8th there nothing but a joke whole staff seems like they don't know what they're doing why would you have somebody set up for that day and never let them come there
These people took me in the office 3 days after I arrived and demanded to know how I was going to pay my bill all while I was detoxing from 4mg of klonopin a day used for 17 years. I essentially was dying when they did… this to me. I was so wired walking the halls from the detox and begged for help. Here's the help I got. They came in my room and shined lights on me. They lied to me when I begged to see a doctor. They said "you're next on the list.," with a big smirk on their face. I wrote them a letter after I successfully detoxed in a hospital and told them if they dared to send me a bill I would sue them and try to shut them down.
The first and only rehab I ever had. With follow up I'm 6 years plus sober.
My husband got kicked out bc the call center told lies and he was far away from home don't go here the staff is a joke
