Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

What is Memorial Care insurance?

MemorialCare is a nonprofit hospital and physician system in Los Angeles and Orange counties, California. Its only insurance arm is MemorialCare Select Health Plan, a California-licensed managed care plan that operates as a delegated network under larger insurers such as L.A. Care, Health Net, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California and Molina.

Members enroll through one of those partner plans and then choose a MemorialCare Select doctor, so the system functions as a care provider rather than a standalone insurance company.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Does MemorialCare Select cover rehab?

Yes, but the benefit comes from your primary health plan. MemorialCare Select works as a delegated network under L.A. Care, Health Net, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California or Molina, and that plan sets the substance use treatment benefits, covered levels of care and authorization rules.

The plan itself publishes no substance use benefit details, so call the member services number on your ID card before you arrange an admission.

How do Medi-Cal members get drug or alcohol treatment in Los Angeles County?

Los Angeles County routes Medi-Cal substance use treatment through the Department of Public Health's Substance Abuse Prevention and Control division. Services are free to eligible residents, although some Medi-Cal members may owe a share of cost. The Substance Abuse Service Helpline, 1-844-804-7500, handles screening and placement.

A second county number, 1-800-854-7771 option 2, is also published. This county system runs separately from MemorialCare Select.

MemorialCare is a nonprofit hospital and physician system in Los Angeles and Orange counties, not an insurance company. Its one insurance arm is MemorialCare Select Health Plan, a Knox-Keene licensed managed care plan formerly called Seaside Health Plan, and enrollment in it runs through a larger insurer rather than directly with MemorialCare.

That structure decides how addiction treatment gets paid for. A member joins Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Health Net, L.A. Care Health Plan or Molina Healthcare first, then chooses a MemorialCare Select doctor. The primary plan handles member services, claims and the benefit itself, and the plan’s own site states that member services come from the primary health plan, using the number on the ID card.

MemorialCare also sits inside products other carriers sell: Aetna Whole Health – MemorialCare for employers, Blue Shield Trio HMO through employers and Covered California, and Medicare Advantage networks run by outside carriers. This guide covers which door leads where, who issues the authorization for a detox or residential admission, what treatment costs in California, how medication is paid for, and how to find a program.
