Community Access and Services SA Counselling Services
Community Access and Services SA offers outpatient counselling, outreach and assessment to adults from culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Adelaide. Screening and assessment produce a care plan, after which the service lists brief intervention, individual counselling drawing on CBT, relapse prevention work and case management to hold it all together.
Peer support from workers with lived experience runs alongside the clinical work, and SMART Recovery groups give a structured group option. Family support is listed for relatives affected by someone’s use. Interpreters and multilingual staff are part of the model rather than an add-on. Withdrawal care, medications and detox are not listed for this service.

Community Access and Services SA Reviews
Reviews of Community Access and Services SA from around the web are limited, which is common for community organisations working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. RehabSeekers hosts reviews for the Athol Park site, and anyone who has used the counselling, peer support or SMART Recovery groups is welcome to share their experience.
A note in any language about how the interpreter arrangements worked, whether the peer workers’ lived experience made a difference, or how the family support was handled would be especially useful here, because so much of what this service does depends on cultural fit. Public comment currently says little about the Athol Street team.
Very friendly, patient, understanding, and well mannered, and helpful staff and people!
