After a few sessions of TMS, I regained a mental clarity i haven't experienced for a long time.the brain fog lifted and I not as forgetful as I used to be. I am so appreciative of the staff here. Dr. Deborah and Ireni… and Elizabeth and Bonnie are all kind ,professional, compassionate and so accommodating to my need as a disabled patient. They go above and beyond to help me and so grateful.
I have been very impressed with the quality of the treatment program and the high level of professionalism displayed by the entire staff that I’ve been in contact with during my treatments especially Jasmine, thank you… so much. The program is well-structured and effective, providing the necessary support and resources for a successful recovery journey. Furthermore, the team’s dedication and professional conduct made a significant difference in my overall experience and in my mental health journey. Thank you for the excellent care and support provided during my time with the program.
Everyone here is kind, professional, and genuinely cares about their clients. The environment feels welcoming and supportive.
I did TMS here and have had a great experience. I was nervous at first but everything went so smooth. The TMS technician Ireni is kind an engaging. They worked with my insurance to get everything covered. Five stars
Irene is amazing.
I’ve been undergoing TMS treatment here and everyone I have come into contact with has been great! The treatment is 5 days a week for 6 weeks so I have been in their care a lot lately.
This place broke me more than it helped me. They talk about “healing” and “recovery,” but what they really mean is “follow the rules, stay quiet, and don’t question us.” The moment you speak your mind or stand up for… yourself, they turn on you like your voice doesn’t matter at all. People who are supposed to care act cold, distant, and power-hungry. Instead of feeling supported, I felt trapped. They kick people out for being honest, for crying too much, for showing real emotion the very things recovery should allow. It’s heartbreaking to see vulnerable people punished for trying to heal in their own way. I came here hoping for help, but I left feeling smaller, more alone, and completely unheard. No one should have to go through that in a place that claims to help people get better.
This addiction treatment center seems to focus almost exclusively on older clients, leaving younger people feeling overlooked and misunderstood. The programs, group discussions, and even the therapy styles are all… geared toward retirees or those with decades of life experience, not individuals who are still trying to build their future. Staff often show a dismissive attitude toward younger clients, as if their struggles don’t carry the same weight or legitimacy. The approach feels outdated, with little flexibility or understanding of modern addiction issues. Instead of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, the facility reinforces the idea that only certain types of people are worth helping. If you’re elderly and looking for a quiet, routine-based setting, this place might suit you. But if you’re younger and seeking a recovery program that’s empathetic, progressive, and actually listens to your needs. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
The therapist, Lydia, often comes across as condescending and does not seem particularly supportive toward younger clients. Her communication style can be passive-aggressive, which makes it difficult to feel comfortable… opening up. I would only recommend this practice for elderly individuals seeking therapy, as the environment appears to cater primarily to that demographic. For younger people struggling with mental health challenges, I would not recommend this place. It lacks the warmth, understanding, and acceptance that younger clients often need. While the front office staff were kind and professional, the overall atmosphere felt dismissive toward younger adults. Overall, I was very disappointed in the quality of care provided. If you are a younger person looking to be genuinely heard and supported, I would suggest considering Pathways instead.
Coastal turning Point has truly saved my life. I benefited from group therapy, individual therapy, EMDR, TMS, Ketamine, Psychiatry, andthe informational/strategy classes. My The staff is friendly and theTherapist were… very helpful in listening to me and creating activities that were tailored to my individual needs. They helped me process my traumas and find a new way of living that is sustainable and joyful. I really can’t say enough good things about this place.
Coastal Turning Point provides an excellent IOP for adults and for teens. The program offers structure, learning and individual check-ins.
I went to Coastal Turning Point’s PHP and IOP program after my 2 psychiatric hospitalizations because I was having a 5 month long Bipolar Depression with psychosis episode. This program greatly supported me and helped… improved my mental health! The group therapy helped me gain a lot of new coping skills and helped me understand how to use mindfulness and other strategies to manage my symptoms. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because A few months into treatment I was extremely suicidal and depressed. My individual therapist Lydia decided that I needed a higher level of care and contacted my psychiatrist without my knowledge or permission to set the plans into motion. This was done behind my back. I found out what was going on by an email she sent me and my psychiatrist texting me to let me know he was in favor of my IOP therapists plan to transfer my care to a Residential Treatment Program! I wasn’t asked what my opinion was or asked what I thought I needed. It was just planned without me being involved. This triggered my PTSD really bad and my trust issues. I almost left the IOP because of this. Thankfully I decided to stick it out and talk with Lydia to let her know what she did triggered me and that I needed to be involved in my treatment. She apologized and agreed to do so moving forward. They let me stay and continue to attend the IOP instead of sending me away. We were able to work through it and I was able to rebuild trust with her again. Overall this is a very good program and it helped me a lot!
My family has been helped over the years by this wonderful team. The level of compassion, kindness and overall commitment to helping people be the best versions of themselves is felt deeply at Coastal Turning Point.
As a fellow clinician, I entrust Cassia and her team's thorough approach to addiction & mental healthcare. Coastal offers a variety of modalities & treatments for navigating the challenges that come with addiction.… Cassia's warmth & genuine investment in her clients' wellbeing make her an ideal supportive resource within the Santa Cruz community!
Very helpful in my mental health journey, Daily group therapy was very beneficial to me, Had therapist one on one sessions along with group each morning.
I witnessed a traumatic event. I could not get past it. I was haunted. With the help from the AMAZING care team at Coastal Turning Point, I was able to process and move on. Thank you!!!!
A wonderful place to go for help and support
The worst company ever! They never return your calls and completely unprofessional
Awful experience with these people. They violated numerous principals laid out by The American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists Code of Conduct. Unfortunately as is to often the case any… sense of altruism is sorely lacking with profit being the sole driving principle behind their motivations. I understand a buisness needs to make money but in the case of medical or mental help I would hope that individuals going into such a field did so out of a genuine desire to help people rather then make a quick buck off of them.

I will always be so grateful to have found Coastal Turning Point last year after my father died and I went into a severe depression. One of the best things about their program is how comprehensive it is. They offer both therapy for depression and anxiety, but also active ways to reconnect to who you truly are when you're not in the grips of trauma. They also focus on reconnecting to what is meaningful and brings you joy. I loved that they supported both the therapy process and the ways to get back to your authentic self. You need both when you're dealing with trauma. Every person on staff was so kind, caring and supportive. This place was a lifesaver.
