They've always helped me in a timely manner. Facility is always clean. My "C team" is amazing. I have never had better medical care.
Aways available and have had great service and results,
Love the staff They are always so helpful. Without Dr. A my life would not be enjoyable thank you Eureka VA 🙏
Just moved back to the coast, but after not even 5 minutes in the facility I will continue to just commute to Chico for my appointments. Apparently everything I’ve done within the VA is worthless to them since it wasn’t… done through the VA San Francisco network and my medical records mean nothing. Shout out to the Chico VA though, talked to them on the phone and they will have my imaging on a disc waiting for me to get them.
I have just been through this VA yesterday, was treated very well. Fast service and they were thorough after being through a few other VA's I was hesitant. What a nice staff and good DR. Thank you
Nurse Practicioner Chkurri and the staff at the Eureka VA clinic are the absolute worst medical staff I have ever encountered and should not be able to practice medicine. Patients beware and steer clear!
Has helped me tremendously
ALL IS GOOD! 😉👍 TOO ME THE EUREKA V.A.'S DOCTORS & STAFF, SEEM TOO KEEP IMPROVING ON THE SERVICES THEY PROVIDE... I'M VERY GRATEFUL FOR ALL THEY'RE LOVE AND SUPPORT OF OUR U.S. VETERANS! 🇺🇲 GO! NAVY! BLESSINGS JAMES: 🕊
The staff and medical providers are always friendly and professional. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Exhalent quite and professional
Terrible care. You never see the same doctor. No one can give you answers. Orders for services that a wrong and canceled the day you get there when you have traveled 2 hours to for them! More than a year and no closer… to getting something done. Just awful.
With Trump's new law. All doctors at the VA are held accountable for what they do and can be fired and lose their license to for malpractice. the best thing if you have a bad experience is to call the Washington DC… office and make it a case so that all veterans have an opportunity with adequate coherent health Care. We serve this country for a reason and it wasn't to come back home to be crapped on.
My partner and I recently moved to the area and he has had his care transferred to this VA clinic. The VA is abysmal in general, unfortunately this clinic is no different. It is nearly impossible to get his medication,… and though they are not opiates or benzos, being without his medication can cause him to withdraw, possibly sending him to the hospital. This is negligent, and dangerous.
A couple of the doctors/NP there aren’t just incompetent they are dangerous. I could have bled to death from internal bleeding if I hadn’t gone to an outside Doctor and paid for a colonoscopy/endoscopy to find out I… have Severe Colitis, a Hiatal Hernia and a 3.2 centimeter mass near the cecal valve in my intestines. The VA Nurse Practitioner said I was overly concerned with my health issues! She has told several other patients the same thing. One guy almost died because she wouldn’t investigate his health issues and he ended up in a hyperbaric chamber after several brain surgeries. She along with a few others should be fired and have their medical licenses taken away.
My experiences with the Eureka VA Clinic and the SF VA Hospital have ALWAYS been positive, professional, efficient, friendly, and helpful. I have received nothing but excellent care in the Eureka VA Clinic and the SF VA… Hospital.
The VA should just close down and become regular hospitals
We are new to the area and been with this clinic for 2 weeks. Only having 1 appointment as of today. This clinic has very poor staff. No one will give you answers and they send you to voicemails that are never answered.… I made a call this morning to address an issue at which point the person answer the phone cut me off very rudely. Informed me that “I have other calls” like this was taking too long!!!! There is no reason for this ever and our veterans and their families need to be treated better. It is very possible to be efficient and caring all at the same time.
Great Clinic, but hard to get seen consistently due to shortages of doctors and nurses.
Love the staff here. They've always been there to help me in my physical & mental health issues.
I was happy with the serviice
For the most part not very good. No doctors for gen med for last yr or so. Any that did come left shortly after. Program people don't research things very well most of the time and workers don't know as much as some of… the patients. However some of the people who answer the phones know more about the workings of the clinic than the medical workers. Have been here 5 yrs and going to VA since 1986 this is the most unorganized problematic and doesn't know much clinic I have ever been to. The hospital at San Francisco is not much better and if you take the shuttle it takes about 10 hours. Being kind by giving it 2 stars. YUCK!!!!
Great place and helpful workers
I can see how people have difficulty navigating the VA system. It can be frustrating and confusing. With that said.....once you are rated and “in” the system it gets a lot better. I have had wonderful results with this… VA clinic. They are close to my house and very helpful and kind. I’ve received multiply services from them all with positive results. I also know how to navigate the system so that helps too. Good luck and don’t get discouraged people.
Decades of alternatingly good and poor service from VA. Last 20 mostly at this Eureka venue ( mostly) old clinic and now almost 2 years at frustratingly inefficient new clinic. I have horror stories ! I'd like to… increase my stars but unable to at this time. Don't know if I will be able to tolerate Trump's pic on wall in future. It may cause seizures ! I like the waiting area as shown below.
Friday September 23rd, 2016 ZERO stars are NOT possible. :( With the exception of the Audiology Department and the front-desk people, the staff are arrogant, rude, people with the undesirable philological profile of… passive-aggressive behavior. The Medical Director -- Dr. Rodriguez is incompetent as is Dr. Pai. She is so incompetent and was SO detrimental to my health that I have filed a formal compliant with the State of Connecticut demanding to have her license to practice medicine revoked for what is known as “cessation of care.” She is clinically incompetent. Based on my medical records she thinks that I am a “chronic pain “ patient, which I am NOT. She thinks that Valium is used for anesthesia; and wrote that I wake at 2:00 a.m. to take a pill that makes me sleep which I do NOT do! She thinks that me taking a pill I have taken since 1989 is “dangerous” and I “might NOT wake.” So no more from her. She practices “cover my ass” medicine to an extreme. I tried, in vein, for MANY MONTHS to get her to change the size of a needle from 22 gauge to 21 gauge. Nothing. She got the refills of the two types of insulin I use reversed, and was passive-aggressive when I told her to invert the refill values. So I ended-up with ZERO of what I needed every day and a LOT of what I did NOT need because I use it maybe once month. When the VA hires incompetent medical staff we get incompetent care; often NO care. The VA is OBLIGATED to provide better! Given his direct cell phone number my one of my senator friends, I have contacted Secretary McDonald directly. His staff has make promises but NOT delivered. The ONLY viable solution for me is to file a lawsuit on Federal Court for breach of contact as I was poised to do last December. I feel like a fool because I have NOT...yet. I have characterized the level of care there as “barely above that of a Third World Country” because that IS what it is.
