Tammy was an amazing counselor and had our back. She cared about us. Bernard the driver was a good soul and he deserved a raise. He was a friend. The food was decent. A few of the RAs were cool. James did the best he… could. They had a chessboard the beds wernt too bad and we’d drive 30-40 minutes to Malibu to go in the beach every other morning. Some of us suffered worse than others- some stories are best left untold…..but the strong ones stuck together. We formed ourselves into a tight group. Sometimes we’d watch the rabbits in the backyard. Sometimes we’d wake in the night to the sounds of the others who couldn’t sleep through it. As far as everything else. All u gotta do is talk to anyone who’s ever been here to tell the tale. When I left in worse shape then when I came in i had a seizure at Burbank airport right before boarding to SFO as a result of reluctantly taking medical advice given to me. Should have listened to my gut. I survived. A stranger on the plane helped me breathe through it, and I didn’t bite my tongue or hit my head. I can’t remember the guys name. I was lucky. And when I called back they turned their back. No refunds. Gaslit, blocked, You’re on ur own. But I made it home alive. And battled the taper off what I was given for weeks with instinct and proper medical advice We , the Survivors stick together afterwards. All u gotta do is Google the doctors name. All you gotta do is pay close attention to your instinct when speaking with administrator and don’t let desperation, withdrawal, or urgency blind you. Beware of 5 star reviews that all sound similar. Bad reviews are very inexpensive to delete. To any person considering (before they delete this) Please take a deeper look before you send a suffering loved one here. I had no bad experiences whatsoever the entire three months I was here, my therapist was AMAZING the counselors were great, the chefs as awesome as his food, Anastasia did everything in her power to accommodate any… requests. Amazing place 10/10 would recommend. I hope I never need to go back to treatment but if I do I’m calling Anastasia forsure.

Went through the whole process, (Sam pumping up the program, the intake meeting, wired the upfront required $8000 prior to arrival) and was on my hour and a half drive there for our 2-3 pm arrival with all of the… belongings they told us to bring. At 2:15 (10 minutes away) Sam called to tell me they gave our spot to another person. Apparently they found someone whose insurance benefits paid more than our (though I paid everything they asked for, by wire). Doesn't matter. Sam went from this sugary, gushy solicitous person when courting me, to a contentious, arrogant ogre when I questioned being told I'd have to wait until their next discharge (again after all of the preparation and hour -1/2 drive... being 10 minutes away). This is more dangerous than if they had just told me they didn't have space to begin with because the preparation process and the let down made for a more emotional state. All of that time could have been spent preparing for another facility with a higher ethical standard. Still haven't received my upfront $8000. Be careful of any facility that requires payment upfront - this was the max out of pocket deductible for my insurance so I have no idea how much they were going to bill them. UPDATE: Reading their reply to my review only supports the conclusions that their treatment of us is part of an underlying principle: serving self at the expense of someone else. Now they are accusing us of "verbal abuse?" Huh? Sam, when he called us to cancel on us while we were literally 10 minutes from our SCHEDULED arrival time (a time HE set for us to arrive that day), knew he would be taking us by surprise and that we would be shocked and have questions and it was he who was ready to snap back at us. His previous solicitous tone became immediately defensive and hostile. It's appalling that they are painting the victims of their poor ethics choices, as the aggressors. Also, implying that their decision to give our bed to someone else is because they don't take reservations and are a "first-come-first-serve" basis is also another deception. They are not a "walk-in" facility. Their procedure (and you can check this out for yourself) is to call, Sam sets up an over-the-phone intake meeting to assess compatibility and then sets an admission time. That is the process. The deposit was not returned same day, but I do not hold that against them - apparently their financial administrator did not know how to send the wire back. My financial advisor called her the following week and walked her through the appropriate steps. Their response does not give me pause to change anything about the rating I gave them.

I write this not as a patient myself, but a loved one of a potential patient. I would give this place zero stars if I could based on the unbelievably disgusting attitudes of the staff. They showed absolutely no empathy… for people in distress and often inflicted further pain with callousness, name calling, and completely unprofessional behavior. I would not trust my loved ones to go to a facility where the staff reacts so viciously. It’s your job to interact with people in the throes of addiction, and Sam proved he did not deserve this job. Name calling is unacceptable in any business, but especially a business like this. There is no care or concern, only scrutiny and cruelty. Any questions (such as if insurance is accepted) are treated as “not taking it seriously enough / wasting their time.” These questions were asked because conflicting information was received, and people need to know if they can afford the treatment they’re about to receive. Sam even said that he “lost money” when we opted not to attend here. The money should not be the important thing when someone is asking for help, and you should not be abruptly hanging up on these people in their moments of vulnerability! I couldn’t believe how quickly he went from encouraging growth to cursing us out. It seriously calls into question what is happening inside when they’re so outwardly awful. Addicts deserve compassion and understanding and they offered none. Way to take advance of someone in crisis. If you are looking for a safe, caring place for your loved one, this is not it. There are other facilities in the area where the staff actually care about setting up addicts for a sober, healthy and happy life— save your time and mental health and write this place off altogether.

Inspire was a life-saving experience for me. The staff is incredible, genuinely caring, and Dr. Lugo, my therapist, is a true miracle worker who saw through me and helped me confront my issues. Anastasia , though… initially intimidating, is actually the kindest person, and Suzanne ensured I had proper aftercare. The fact that it's a family-owned facility is amazing, as the entire family goes above and beyond to support you during your darkest times. I'm immensely thankful for the 90 days I spent at Inspire..

Such a great place for recovery . As someone who had worked in the field for many years, and having experience of working at Inspire. I have worked in different types of recovery settings, and Inspire has the most up to… date, science and evidence based practices, which is very important for individuals to thrive in recovery. Nothing but good things to say .

I have nothing but Love and Respect for this treatment center, these folks saved my life and in turn allowed me to make amends with my family and to stay sober from an opiate addiction that would of killed most people!… I met Dr. Mohammad in 2003 after reading an article about this esteemed Dr. and being one of the first doctors in California to prescribe a new cutting edge medication that can release you from the bonds of opiate addiction and block the cravings that we're running through my mind constantly. Fast forward 20 years later, I now work for Inspire and am able to witness firsthand the transformation the new clients make from day 1 beginning of Detox to day 30 and beyond and see how these clients grow from world class Therapist , group classes that teach lifestyle changes, to understanding addiction as to make better choices going forward and being able to help provide encouragement to never Ever! give up! Resetting the soul , only your higher power can do! But we are here to help! Mark

Great place, i feel like the dr really cares, the ceo especially is excellent at executing client needs while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries with them. Dr M is the man with the plan, the therapy teaches… you things with thorough knowledge and repetition. Truly excellent place for myself or my loved ones. Those who want to succeed there will certainly be at a place that will facilitate success if they are willing to do their part. Would highly recommend

A super quality facility with a TOP NOTCH ADDICTION doctor who is on staff and overseeing all clients . I am so grateful for the entire staff and especially Dr. M for helping a dear friend of mine. Finally, after 10… years of multiple rehabs, she finally received the correct diagnosis and medication for her illness. She also did the TMS therapy which I believe really helped her. For the first time in a decade she now has hope that she can get on with her life.. Again, Thank you !!!

Didn’t do a proper intake or take the time to realize this wasn’t the proper place for my family member. They didn’t bring my family member to the hospital when they should have. This person, thank God, made it home,… but has regular PTSD flashbacks of the treatment received. California rehabs aren’t regulated nearly enough and they make claims that are outright lies, to get loved ones hopeful family members there as paid clients.

Inspire Malibu is a truly first class treatment facility and Intensive Outpatient Program that saved my life. Dr. Mohammed is second to none as it relates to the treatment of addiction and the staff is in the same… category. The facilities are excellent and the level of care and compassion made the entire experience productive as well as pleasant. Mark N.

My Husband and I are so grateful for Dr. Mohammond and all the staff at Inspire. After years of looking for help for our daughter, we finally found a facility that got the right diagnosis. All the staff were kind and very professional. The fact that after discharging , she can still see the doctor at his behavioral health practice each month, has made all the difference. I would highly suggest Inspire for anyone looking to change their lives and stop the cycle of addiction.
