Kratom and 7-OH Rehab Centers in California

California declared the sale and manufacture of kratom and 7-OH illegal on October 24, 2025, though no criminal possession statute exists. For anyone still taking either one, that means a retail supply that can vanish without notice. The programs listed here treat drug addiction, including dependence on kratom and 7-OH, and often pair supervised withdrawal with 30 or more days of live-in care.

Listings gather in San Diego, Costa Mesa, Lancaster and Malibu, among other places, and draw on public treatment registers, state licensing records and accreditor directories. Medi-Cal, private insurance, county-funded care and sliding-scale fees are the ways to pay.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Common questions about Kratom Rehab

Answered from what is listed here.

Is kratom illegal in California?

Sale and manufacture of kratom and 7-OH became illegal in California on October 24, 2025, though no criminal possession statute exists. A shop supply that suddenly ends can still bring withdrawal for someone using daily, so a planned stop with medical support is the safer route than waiting it out.

Kratom Law in Californiahttps://rehabseekers.com/resources/kratom-7oh-ban-california/
How do I start kratom treatment in California?

The SUD Non-Emergency Treatment Referral Line, (800) 879-2772, run by the Department of Health Care Services, routes callers to their county alcohol and drug program.

Each county also keeps its own access line, most of them answered 24/7, and staff there can arrange an assessment and a referral to a publicly funded program. Private programs take direct calls from people with insurance or the means to pay.

Rehab Centers in Californiahttps://rehabseekers.com/locations/us/california/
Does Medi-Cal cover kratom rehab?

Medi-Cal covers kratom rehab when a substance use disorder is diagnosed, through county-contracted Drug Medi-Cal providers and, in counties that opted in, the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System. Those county systems, rather than a single list of health plans, deliver substance use disorder treatment, so the county access line is the usual starting point.

Medi-Calhttps://rehabseekers.com/locations/us/california/medi-cal/

What does California’s kratom sales ban mean for people who use it?

California declared the sale and manufacture of kratom and 7-OH illegal on October 24, 2025, and no criminal possession statute exists. For someone who takes kratom every day, the practical effect is that shop supply can stop overnight, and an unplanned stop can bring sudden withdrawal. Arranging a planned, medically supported stop is the safer path.

Withdrawal is possible because kratom’s alkaloids bind to opioid receptors in the brain, and daily use can therefore create tolerance and physical dependence. Concentrated 7-OH products carry far more 7-hydroxymitragynine than ordinary leaf, and intake staff ask about every product a person has taken.

Beyond the state rules, the federal position is separate: the natural leaf is not on any federal schedule, the Food and Drug Administration has authorized no medical use for kratom, and the Drug Enforcement Administration began in July 2026 to temporarily schedule concentrated 7-OH and its synthetic forms. Details of kratom law in California sit in a separate guide.
