While the therapist is pleasant, it feels like talking to a brick wall. Very short, limited sessions that don't accomplish anything. Psychiatry was disappointing and while they did spend a full hour our first appt, I… had zero follow up on meds, called the nurse, left messages and no call returned. Filled out all the appropriate paperwork and even called my PCP to verify records were sent. Nurse said they didn't get it and said she'd call but it's been weeks and nothing. It would be better to not even have a facility that offers false hope than no help at all. Wasted months of time and energy thinking I'd get help and never did. It's the only psychiatrist that takes Medicaid. Very sad situation for anyone stuck in this place.
this is literally the worst service ever I have videos and pictures of me calling asking for help and the people actually calling me, disrespecting me and hanging up. I have also made a very aware to them that I am… serious and I need help but this is the problem with the mental health system in Alabama is broken and we don’t get no help. We are failed and these people still get a paycheck why?
Personally to me I feel like these reviews for this place is outdated it seems a lot better than even when I used to go to it years ago and deserves a second chance they seem to have new nice people up there and they're… not even needing me and they got me in and out fairly quick despite having to know the information
never call back, never answer the phone, have to drive up there to get anything done!
Nanny's pharmacy checkup
Do not give calls or text messages or emails about appointment reminders, rude and lazy all around, want to tell you one medication they think will work for you only and not listen to any questions or concerns or offer… any other suggestions on a medication. When my husband misses appointments it’s not his fault completely as they give you a card a month or more in advance and expect you to not lose it or misplace it and to show up to all scheduled appointments with that card only as a reminder. Life happens. Jobs happen. Things come up. A month or more????…you’re not going to remember that appointment. Then they called his phone and spoke to me while he’s in an interview and want him to come in within 7 days to explain in person why he’s missed appointments or he’s permanently discharged. Mental health care? Nope because they’ll cause mental health issues to come up for people with how the act and treat you.
This office absolutely does not know how to return phone calls. When you are there they tell you call anytime if you have an issue with medicine but when you call you get sent to a voicemail that apparently no one… listens or responds to. I even went over there to my therapist appt and she told me she would email my CRNP. She is right down the hall are you kidding me? So I am still waiting on that call back needless to say I never got my meds fix. Same reason that I have done this same song and dance my whole life. NOONE wants to help you if you have depression or anxiety or any mental disorder. If you aren’t an addict they aren’t interested. Yea seems about right
If I could post 0 stars i would
Trying to force me to provide papers for my service dog. Something Illegal by ADA. Will be reporting them to the ADA for this. Rude as hell, I was supposed to discuss service dog before I came and they never called me… back. Over a week.
I'm sure the doctors are fine but I didn't even finish scheduling an appointment because the employee I talked to on the phone was so rude and impatient with me.
This place is absolutely ridiculous! I have been begging them for 3 weeks to schedule my daughter an appointment to see a doctor for prescription refills. I was very persistent and let them know she only had 30 days… worth of medications left. They finally call when she only has one week worth of medications left to let me know they do not have any available appointments and don't know when they will. My daughter will be without medications and they seem unbothered. This is a common complaint from several other patients there also.
Staff is not friendly and the wait is soooo long. And the doctors are rude and see you only for maybe 2 mins and could care less what you tell them. I will never go back here.
I brought someone to this place and it's awful! Nasty bathrooms, rude rude rude employees..I asked about someone cleaning the bathrooms and it isn't their job! Can't take a purse in the building...
If you want to wait an 1 or 2 go here
Im not against this place i just wish the system wasnt so broken. A few times i came they couldnt look at my notes because the system was either down or in the process of going down. It takes months to be seen and by… that time who knows what all has happened. Once you have been seen they can usually see you monthly if you like but even then its not enough. When your in a crisis i find it a waste to call the crisis line because i feel like they cant do anything but call police or ambulance and take you to the hospital. The hospital isnt always the answer. Im on my 3rd therapist the other 2 either moved or quit in the 2 years ive been with CED. I enjoy the therapist i have now but who knows how long that will last.. honestly its just mixed reviews about CED. sometimes they call you back other times you have to call them again.
It's difficult to get help on time from here. The system 'is' broken. Even though they have some good psychiatrists, the time it takes to get a consult in and a new appointment/med change leaves you suffering unfairly.
Dr Kushro is the worst Dr I have ever seen. And the therapist I'm centre omg I just was told I have to see some one else after another one is gone. ....They will change your meds the Dr...and tell you that you will be… ok. Been on one meds for over 20 years and bam she drops me down from 6mg to 3 mg then changes the meds and goes down again....about time for someone to step in.
This place is a joke! We called for an appointment for a loved one who was suicidal, we got him to agree to come in but he would not agree to go to a hospital, we told them that they said they couldn’t take any patient… that day. So we called Centre location and they told us they would call Attalla location bc the only Dr was there that day. That lady was concerned and helpful. Told us to go in anyways and she called them they would see us. We get there only to be told the Dr wil not see him bc she/he was to busy!!! Someone is a patient there they are suicidal and the Dr is to busy?? Also we asked if we could just wait there until she had time. We were told well there is 4 patients in line and by that time the Dr will be to tired and will refuse to see him anyways! Are you kidding me? If you didn’t call yourself a Crisis Center I would understand. But you do!! This system is so broken and messed up. And this office is part of the problem! Oh and when asked if we could come back the next day we were told know but they could fit us in on Nov 1st!! Thanks we will just sit on our thumbs and do nothing for 2 weeks in hopes that my love one doesn’t kill themself!!!! What kind of Dr are you! Disgusting!!
Don’t go here if you actually have anything wrong with you. I have taken the same prescription for years and now they say federal guidelines have changed and they cannot write this prescription. It’s ridiculous I have… waited for 3 months to get my prescription and now they say they can no longer write it. Dr Feist is a great doctor but this place is a joke.
I love the front office and Drs but it's hard to get them to call you back. If you don't have insurance they based your copay on how much you make at your job. If your not working the copay is only $5
Doctor Feist is a brilliant man who still has his health and his mind well in to an age where most doctors of his age have already or at least are planning to retire. I have been fortunate enough to have him as my… doctor here for many years. Being that I am on Medicare, I could go to another, more desirable address for my services but see no reason in doing so.
