I had an appointment scheduled for May 1st. I called a few days prior to confirm that appointment and make sure I got the zoom link, I didn’t realize the person I spoke to, to set the appointment was the same person… doing the appointment with me but she is who I called to confirm the appointment and get the zoom link from. At 10:10 on Friday May 1st I called GA hope Dalton office to see why the Dr wasn’t on the zoom yet and they said they don’t have any appointments scheduled for me, but transferred me to the lady that scheduled the appointment with me and I guess who is also the Dr that was doing the appointment with me. She tried to gaslight me and say when I called her a few days prior I rescheduled the appointment for Tuesday, if I rescheduled the appointment for Tuesday how come after I got of the phone with her did she send me a zoom link for Friday May 1st. The lady just couldn’t be bothered and that’s why she did that to me. Honestly though I didn’t want a psychiatrist that had such a heavy accent from another country that I couldn’t understand them. I should have listened to all of the negative reviews about this place. Oh and the person I was supposed to meet with was Mary Therese, stay away from her!!! Literally put my whole day on hold for this 3 hour appointment for nothing.

A straight up JOKE! Waited 2 months on a call for our son. They finally answer a call and have to find a new therapist! Then refuse to meet in person! They just want to FaceTime! How does a FaceTime call with a 6 yr old… bouncing off the walls do anything? All we needed is someone professional to help us and all we get is completely unprofessional BS!! Our system completely refuses to help anyone especially our youth!

This is literally the WORST place I have ever been too since being diagnosed with a mental health disorder in 2015! And I have been to A LOT!! My doctor is awesome don’t get me wrong, as well as the nurse. The ENTIRE… staff needs to be retrained or fired and start fresh. They are the most unprofessional people I have ever spoken to. They have no manners, and belittle you instead of talk to you. I have multiple recorded calls of them talking to me like I’m an idiot. Mental health issues does not affect your intelligence! I am actually very educated, and possess a masters degree. But yet I am talked to like I am a 2nd grader with a learning disability. This is NOT HOW YOU TREAT ANYONE! much less someone suffering with a mental disorder! What if they are in a manic episode, and your untrained, unprofessional staff members attitude sends them over the edge, and they harm someone or themselves?

Make an online appointment and it gets canceled with no notification or explanation. Get referral from Dr, they never call. Sign up online , they never call. Not good when you're supposed to be helping people.

Should have option for no stars. It took 3 months for them to respond to referral and schedule initial assessment. Assessment completed via zoom, then nothing. Scheduling reaches out to schedule another intake "due to… updates they need to redo everything." Complete second intake. 2 weeks later message about paperwork I was supposed to receive via email, no response. My child sends a message the following week and gets a response, " working on it". It has now been another month with no response, and nothing scheduled. However insurance was notified and they approved of community services so ga hope had no issues with getting the billing taken care of...although intake was only appointment. I have reached out about the services through the ga hope website but we've yet to get a response- shocker. If your child needs MH services...go elsewhere as they clearly won't get any assistance from GA HOPE.

I have been a client with Georgia hope for a year now via zoom/teams teletherapy. My first therapist was so amazing she was the one. She was the one who inspired me to get my bachelor's degree in Psychology for mental… health. Then go for my masters to become an LPC. Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks.

This place is a joke. We have been here twice now and they keep saying no your appointment was at this time when they told us a different time. And I even had my mom here and she said that wasn't right. This place is a… joke. They don't want to help anyone . We had more help from the fort Oglethorpe location then this one. They really want to mess with people mental health. I truly don't know how they can sleep at night. When they have truly don't want to help kids or teenagers.

This is the worst place to get ahold of someone. I been leaving voicemails for a month and no one has reach out to me to get an appointment booked. I finally got ahold of someone in the office and At first I was told… that I needed to reach Allison the supervisor left her 5 voicemails after 2 weeks decided to called the office again and was told that I needed to email janelle !! To get an appointment honestly worst experience I have ever had with a professional facility. 2 months in and no one has reach out to me & no appointment has been made !!

If I could give GA Hope negative stars, I would. I've been trying for 6+ months to get my son into therapy. September 2022, a referral was made and I have an intake appointment. After that appointment, the man we met… with had every excuse to not follow through with the scheduled appointments (3 total) until finally I never heard anything else from him or anyone else with GA Hope. In January 2023, we switched primary pediatricians and they sent over a new referral. Fast forward to the beginning of this month when I finally heard something back from a lady in the referrals department at GA Hope. I was told I would have to have a new intake appointment done since it had been so long and it was scheduled for the 21st. That day came and no one ever called or text to give me the Zoom info. The next day, she told me she tried to call me numerous times, but had my old number, which doesn't make since as I had typed my new number in an email I had sent on the 16th. We rescheduled the intake appointment for the 28th for 5pm. I logged on to Zoom at 4:30 and waited until 5:15, with no one ever joining. The next day, I sent in a complaint via the GA Hope website. 4 hours ago, I called and left a message. I find it incredibly insane that I've jumped through so many hoops to get NO WHERE. Apparently a child's wellbeing doesn't matter to GA Hope as my son would really benefit from therapy. I hope no other parent has to go through this with these people.

After we moved to Dalton, Ga Georgia Hope was the place that was recommended to us by the school to take our 7 yr old son who has ADHD. He had previously been seen at a different therapist where we used to live. I want… to start off by saying it takes forever to get an appointment. I called their office, and left a voicemail ,and it took a week or more for someone to call me back about the appointment. I opted for an in person appointment because my son I knew wouldn’t be able to focus on someone over the computer. Well as soon as we enter the appointment the doctor was not even in the room she was on a laptop. I understand health practices since Covid ,but if I had known it would be that way I would have stayed home, and had the appointment since the office is almost 20 minutes from my house. The doctor Dr Maittom I believe is how you spell it. I could barely understand her over the laptop. I kept having to ask her to repeat herself. She was very dismissive ,and did not have a friendly demeanor. Definitely not someone I felt comfortable with. The medicine my son had been on for years she said she would not prescribe it because of his low weight, and he has always been small framed. His doctor where we previously lived had no trouble prescribing the medicine he needs to focus in school, but she kept saying no. Later I found out this office doesn’t even prescribe the medicine he needs they just tell their patients excuses ,and won’t directly come out ,and say they don’t prescribe it. I was even told not to go back here to go to White’s Pediatrics where they actually prescribe the medicine. The only good part was the lady who took my sons weight etc. Sandra she had a friendly demeanor. The doctor was awful. Cold. Just not a good bedside manner. She said she didn’t know how my son would turn out later in life etc ,and she told my son good luck. I don’t even know why GA Hope would allow her to work with patients. Especially children. His next appointment is supposed to be in March, but I will take my son elsewhere ,and I do not recommend this place at all.

Have nothing but good things to say about this place. Each staff member, whether it be up front at the desk, nurse, counselor, or psychiatrist, has been kind and made the whole experience easier. I've been to many… facilities and this one will always be my favorite! Thankful for people like this!

I was going through so much and was just trying to speak to a therapist. I was told it would take 2 weeks. There were issues with my insurance, but even after finding out the issue it's been 2 months and still no… therapist. After several calls still nothing and absolutely no follow-up. Extremely disappointed/dissatisfied. What if I was in a horrible mental state and this was my last effort for help. Disappointed.
