Gulf Breeze Recovery – Gulf Breeze Detox and Rehab Services

Gulf Breeze Recovery – Gulf Breeze carries a listing for detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I just want to share my personal experience while recently attending a Family Weekend Workshop. I want to sing the praises of the providers who facilitated this workshop. From the initial gatherings, information sharing… and tour on Friday, everything felt seemless. The staff were so warm and welcoming, I felt instantly at ease . Gulf Breeze Recovery is a beautiful facility and it is obvious that great care is taken to maintain it. Shay is a natural leader, speaker and was always equipped with more than enough information for any and all questions . Her sense of humor was so appreciated and I’m thinking it is probably legendary.😁 Heather has the confidant presence and answers at the ready to instill a sense of “ all is well here, as well as making sure everyone was informed and comfortable along the way. Everyone seemed fine changing hats and doing whatever was necessary to make sure everything rolled out well. Of course I am a big fan of Dr. E and it makes it hard to be objective but I felt also that he made everyone feel so comfortable and broke down the information given in a way that we could understand easily. I personally found the entire weekend very helpful and interesting. Of course, having a loved one of ours in your care made it particularly special. Thank you to Shay’s husband who made sure Shay had everything that was needed and was able to laugh at himself on occasion when Shay threw him under the bus . ( In a kind way of course :) The fact that you all care enough to do this on a weekend says everything we need to know about the care extended to our loved ones while recovering in your care and I am grateful. My loved one just completed a 60 day program at Gulf Breeze Recovery, in Gulf Breeze Florida, and the experience was beyond our expectations. The setting and accommodations are beautiful. The food is healthy and… prepared by professional chefs. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable about all kinds of substance abuse. The intake specialist is extremely helpful and goes out of her way to assist. The family is treated with dignity and invited to be involved with their loved one while there. Our loved one expressed gratitude for what the entire staff did to help him in his recovery. He has expressed much gratitude for having the experience and privilege to have been at Gulf Breeze Recovery. Many thanks to all there. Thank you to everyone.

I cannot speak to the effectiveness of the program because my son was unable to complete it due to a health crisis. However, I can speak to the kindness, patience, flexibility, and overwhelming desire of the entire… staff to help my son through a very difficult situation. At every hurdle they were willing to work with us to find a resolution. Shelly, Monica, Nicole and MANY others went above and beyond in supporting us. For that reason alone I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone needing care and compassion for a loved one

Gulf Breeze Recovery located just south of Pensacola, Florida is a facility dedicated to the successful rehabilitation of your loved one. As a family member, I gained insight to the 3 Principles approach (mind,… consciousness, thought) that is used to actually teach sobriety. Family Weekend provided training and information and answers to so many things I was curious and uninformed about. It also provided the opportunity to see the facility and room where my loved one slept. GBR holds a weekly zoom call open to families in which one of the counselors teaches and serves as a point of contact. Family members are encouraged to continue participation in this call even after graduation of their loved one. The generosity of spirit, genuine caring, and expertise of the doctor, nurses, counselors, and staff members make GBR an outstanding choice for recovery.

Gulf Breeze Recovery has truly saved my life. The environment is transformative, and the staff operates on a level of excellence that’s hard to find. Chefs Sean and Ash are absolutely top tier, creating meals that… nourish both body and spirit. Shelly in admissions is deeply passionate about helping people begin their healing journey, and every counselor I’ve worked with has been incredibly knowledgeable and well-educated. Shayna, the director and my therapist, exemplifies leadership with compassion — her insight, professionalism, and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in my growth and recovery. If you are considering rehab or treatment, I cannot recommend Gulf Breeze Recovery highly enough; this is the place you want to choose. The outings that Nolley organizes are not only enjoyable but genuinely enriching. During my time here, we went bowling, spent time at the beach, and even took a dolphin cruise — each experience providing moments of connection, joy, and healing outside of the clinical setting.

My experience at Gulf Breeze Recovery was truly life changing and unparalleled. Never once was I treated as an addict. Respect concern and appreciation were the overwhelming sentiments I benefited from. The facility is… beautiful, clean, spacious and profoundly comfortable. The food prepared by the private chef was always restaurant quality. The support staff works hard to meet every accommodation. The skilled medical staff understands what the guests are going through and treats each one with utmost care. The counseling staff is profoundly skilled at helping address underlying issues that prevent full healing and return to health. The holistic approach that Gulf Breeze Recovery employs helps to ensure the mind, body and spirit have opportunity to heal and grow. Medicine, nutrition, exercise, cognitive therapy, recreation, Neurofeedback, art, EMDR, sun, fresh air, community....all of these aspects combine to enable a person to begin to heal. I will forever be grateful for the privilege of being a guest at Gulf Breeze Recovery. I love the staff there and am permanently changed for the better by them.

GBR is truly an amazing place and program. I’m a graduate from over 6 years ago and used to say they saved my life which they did, but as time goes on it became apparent they gave me life. Life free of booze is just… amazing. This is Not a 12 step program quite the opposite its optimism and strength vs weakness and pray I get thru the day. The facility is top notch, the staff care so much and I really can’t imagine where I would have ended up had I not chosen GBR. Well 6’ under, do yourself a favor trust in this place. Thanks GBR and the entire team for all that you do.

I can’t say enough about this great experience. You are treated with respect and helped out of your dark place. In the end, like everything, you have to want it. The entire staff is top notch and has only gotten better… since my visit back almost 4 years ago. Thank and I am eternally grateful.

GBR helped me save my life. Their approach through trauma therapy and Nuro feedback was magic. They helped me find my peace and I’m forever grateful. Heather in admissions is the whole reason I got there. She is truly… an asset who personally understands how dark addiction can get. I don’t know where GBR would be without her.

I went through this program in 2019. Today I have over 6 years of sobriety! Recovery isn't easy. But this place gave me a really good start. The staff, counselors and therapists are all nurturing and kind. The facility… is very comfortable and safe. I'm very happy that I invested in myself and my future.

We sought help here for my wife. They took TriCare. They start out o.k., nice facility, but it quickly turns south. The business was recently sold, and they are still working out quirks, but it's evident, the… "investors" who bought the business really don't care about "recovery", but about profit. It's a mandatory 60 day program, not including detox, and they hide that from you upon 1st entering. All they care about is meeting insurance requirements for treatment even at the expense of the patients health. The medical doctor and his staff are really awesome, however, the counseling and treatment team are off their rocker! They have the sympathy of a flea! They are so focused on the addiction, they miss critical information and simply are not equipped to deal with patients with multiple health issues.

Although this place means well and helps some, it really boils down to money and them brainwashing you into believing their BS. 1st off, they do not tell you it is a required 60 day program when you sign the documents… when drugged out in detox. They then encourage you to stay longer. They focus so much on what caused your addiction, and have no concern about your health issues, just making sure you meet the required hours to please insurance. Although its a nice property with a pool and sauna, not to mention private rooms, you are treated like a prisoner. Candy wrapper in your room, STRIKE, and you are punished and not allowed to go on and outing. Its honestly just not a healing place, when you need that most. Having tried them a few times, I had no luck and saw a relapse rate that was off the charts!!! They have you come back for 30 more days! I am being 100% honest, this road of recovery is hard and I am in it, but this place doesn't really care about you. They care about making money and proving they are right, and their not.

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to leave a review for my beautiful people at GBR (they know me well, unfortunately but also fortunately- for I don't know where I would be without them). This is a trustworthy… establishment that will take care of you the very best they can. You have to do your part and trust the process. Between Dr. E, Heather (admissions), and the amazing nursing staff- Mandie, Nicole, Monica, Patrick. The incredible support staff- (hey Paige! Alyssa! All my other loves!), they have all held my hands through extremely tough times and gotten me to the other side. My gratitude is endless for the angels that work there- and I am aware I didn't mention them all. But I certainly love them all. There is so much compassion and love in this beautiful facility, from the therapists, counselors, nursing staff, support staff, to the amazing chefs Sean and Karen. Food is AMAZING and plentiful. I miss sitting outside looking at the pelicans, swimming in the pool, sunning, reading, healing. No one ever wants to end up in this sort of facility, but if you have to, I *highly* recommend GBR. You'll enjoy it more than you'd expect and create a whole new two sets of families- between staff and your fellow residents (guests). Few bonuses- treadmills and exercise equipment, pool table, a dock to fish from, a pool to cleanse your soul in after the sauna, super sweet people who will change your life, and again- amazing food. Forever grateful for you GBR! Thank you for all you have done for me.

Words cannot express what GBR did for me! Starting with Heather, she was there for me throughout my incoherent days leading into the program as well as throughout my stay, she was detrimental to me getting into GBR and… I adore her!! The nurses and staff were also wonderful and my councilor was equally important in my new recovery!! I got a new lease on life when I left there!

Recently the need of the services offered by Gulf Breeze Recovery came to be. From the start they have been nothing but professionals. My first contact was with Heather their Admissions Director . She was a god send.… She was always available via phone, text or email, even on weekends. She answered all my question to help me get through this situation. The facility is great, clean and well organized. The treatment they provide has been tremendous. They not only do they help with the addiction you are there for; but also strive to give you life coping skills to deal with the everything once you complete the program. I highly recommend Gulf Breeze Recovery if you are having problems with addiction. They are caring and sympathetic to your feelings and needs and don't make you feel ashamed for asking for help. If you need help, reach out to Heather and she will start you on the road to recovery with a kind word and a willingness to genuinely help you overcome the obstacles in your life.

As the parent of a child struggling with addiction, I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the incredible care my son received at Gulf Breeze Recovery. From the very first contact, the staff was understanding,… kind, and professional, always making us feel supported and informed. They created a treatment plan tailored to my child’s specific needs, and we were impressed by the genuine compassion and dedication of the therapists and counselors. My son was given the tools to not only manage his addiction, but to heal emotionally and mentally as well. The facility itself was welcoming, comfortable, and peaceful, offering a safe and nurturing environment for recovery. Communication was consistent, and I always felt like I was a part of the process, which meant so much during such a difficult time. I’m thrilled to say that thanks to GBR, my son is now on a positive path to recovery. If you are a parent looking for a place that truly cares and works hard to help, I wholeheartedly recommend this rehab facility. It has made a world of difference for our family

I joined the army in March 2003 and retired 1 April 2024. I went yesterday, voluntarily, to seek help for the first time in my life and agreed to a detox program. Today you had me escorted out of your building in… handcuffs and sent to the GB ER. Because I could tell that what you had to offer wasn’t applicable to my needs I told you I wanted to leave in search of other therapies locally. I was courteous and made a point to stay away from your staff and others in recovery while the detox meds you forced on me wore off. Your staff lied to me about being able to leave. I spent 4 years of my life in combat zones and this is what I receive when looking for help. I’m truly disgusted and will never seek help from any organization again. YOU are the reason we don’t seek help.

Hi, I learned about Gulf Breeze Recovery (GBR) through my research, as well as word of mouth references from friends, and others who successfully completed the program. I had developed a serious addiction problem… (alcohol) after I became disabled in 2020 due to a stroke. The stroke left me unable to preform basic physical functions, and could no longer continue my profession of 45+ years. In a four year period of time, I spent more time at the hospital that I did at home due to the disability mentioned above. The illness included internal bleeding, audio and visual hallucinations, and the inability to walk or stand alone. My ability to balance was severely impaired. I was constantly falling and injuring myself. I was told I would never recover. I obviously have now made a full recovery and live a good life by myself. After falling and laying on the floor for up to 10-12 hours, due to being unable to stand or crawl, I decided that I had to make a choice, to either continue drinking Vodka and likely die within a year, or be placed into long term nursing, which is what the Medical professionals were recommending. The only other option was to enroll into a 60 day+ residential treatment facility, since I had been unsuccessful at quitting drinking on my own. I had gotten to the point of avoiding friends and family due to the embarrassment of my condition of addiction. I contacted my personal physician and informed her I was desperate, and needed treatment badly. I stated that if I could get into treatment, I would do whatever it took to regain my life, self esteem and sobriety. I also acknowledged that even though I had been a successful Mental health professional, I could not be successful without help. Addiction does not discriminate, anyone call fall prey to this insidious condition. While at GBR, I met people from around the United states, who also came to north Florida for this specific treatment program. These people included, medical professionals, Mental health professionals, successful business owners, teachers, military, Etc. I found the entire staff to be very professional, knowledgeable, and that they genuinely cared about the clients they served. The facility and food were second to none. The only requirement for success is an open mind and a commitment to complete the full program and graduate. I wish I had done it sooner. I wish you success on your journey, and wish that you will be able to experience the peace and joy that I have gained. It is worth it, you are worth it. It is your decision, Everyone says that they will get to it tomorrow. It is tomorrow, today. Come join in this exciting journey. My faith, and beliefs have transformed my life.
