Frederick Institute – Frederick Detox and Rehab Services

Frederick Institute – Frederick appears on the register for detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The withdrawal stage is clinically observed, which is what makes it safer than stopping alone. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Best clinic that I've been to. The staff, including front desk, nurses, and counselors are all very friendly ,personable, and most importantly, CARING. I have great rapport with my current counselor (and I pray she… stays!), which makes me feel open and at ease in our meetings. The current head nurse has also been great. I really could keep mentioning specific staff members, they have all been great and accommodating to me. The staff seriously all go above and beyond in my experience with them, which makes the recovery process so much easier.

Idk what other folks experiences might be but I came here from CCG and have no regrets. I had the same issue with counselors as the previous review, but only because someone left and they had to fill that vacant… position. That issue has been resolved and they couldn't have found a better person for the position. I feel like my new counselor cares just as much as the previous one and they are well experienced, coming from a previous addiction counseling position. Everytime I come in, I'm greeted by all and treated like I'm more than just an addict. If you have issues about something at any treatment center, it's usually because of your own actions and not doing whatever you're supposed to be doing on your end. Anyhow, when I was at that other place, I can't count the times I could not Dose because of the nurse calling off, the computer is down or they can't get in the safe etc. Having to go to work or back home, while starting to feeling horrible and of course that leads to going right back to those old habits. CCG has been through idk how many people in the 4 years I was there. They couldn't keep a front desk person, Testing person, counselors or a full time doctor. It was 3 months before I could get more take homes because there was no doctor. At the Institute I only witnessed one time when the computer was down but they were still dosing and getting it done. Plus multiple dosing windows so there's never a wait more than 5- 10 mins or less because multiple ppl are getting a month worth of take homes, which is rare. No need for a screen with a list that everyone has to keep checking and counting how many people are in front of them. Also, those groups are only used at other places to get as many people they can to write fake reviews, for either gift cards or food. Point being; if you want to be treated well, with good care and quick turn around time come here. If you want somewhere to just hang out and keep up those old habits then just go to those other places!?

Folks there were nice, and it served its purpose for the length I was there. But am very glad I made a switch to a different clinic. Here’s a few of my complaints: I got tossed around between 3 different counselors… within just two months. The first one I had requested a new one because it wasn’t a good fit and I could tell they were new at it, because I was essentially leading the therapy sessions. I addressed that and was then asked if I could essentially just be used as a “training” person for the counselor. I think that’s kind of lame… if someone requests a new counselor, I think you should just go ahead and trust them that it’s not a good fit instead of pressuring me to say with them, for the counselors benefit, not mine. My other gripe, was that without any failed drug screens, they kept me stuck at coming in once a week for well over a month. I had to be the extremely squeaky wheel for them to upgrade me to 2 weeks worth of take homes. And then after that, no more take homes. I kept asking why, because I had never had a dirty UA or anything. My response that I got, AFTER I left them for another clinic, was that I had just fallen between the cracks of paperwork and it must have gotten lost. Every time I would go there I was filled with anxiety because it’s very apparent that the goal there was to catch people with dirty pee, not to help. If anyone else needs a place to go, try out concerted care group in Frederick. They are much more kind, they listen, they ACTUALLY Have groups (instead of putting up fliers saying they have groups when they don’t actually), willing to work via telehealth for appointments if I’m not able to make it out there. Just overall a much more kind, professional, and clearly a want to help, as opposed to wanting to catch people and have them come back in more frequently. I’m sure it all has something to do with insurance money and them getting more if you have to come in more frequently. Glad I went there, for the sole purpose of getting on maintenance meds, but am even more glad I left.

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep repeating it. This clinic has some of the best people you can possibly have! Through many years of experience, I have dealt with them and they have helped me overcome my addiction and… relapses but through it all finally I was able with Gods grace to defeat my addiction. I can’t say with words how grateful I am for Angie, Amanda, MiMi and all the staff at Fredrick Institute.

This place is a place where angels work. My husband and I were desperate to get away from the addict lifestyle and needed help doing it. We were able to get into Frederick Institute extremely fast. Most places like this… only do what they do because it's a job and most people who go to them only go to get high and/or don't take it seriously. The people here made us both feel human again. We felt loved. We felt cared for, and it was the first time in a long time we had people give a shit about us besides each other. We had lost everything not due to drugs but simply bad luck and needed to feel like we weren't alone in this world. Amanda at Frederick Institute was the head angel here. We will forever be grateful and she will forever have a special place in our hearts. The clients here also seem to be a special breed as they all seemed to want to be better. This place is HIGHLY recommended. We had to stop going here and start in Martinsburg as Frederick is just too far but they made the switch easy.....easier than they had to. They genuinely are amazing humans and if it were possible, we'd make the hour drive there and back to continue here. We miss and love you guys and appreciate you all!!!
