I would recommend anybody entertaining serious treatment avoid this program at all costs. Going to this program was such a a huge mistake. They don’t manage prescriptions but will charge your insurance for it and… attending the program eliminates your ability to see any therapists or prescribers in the meantime. They have very poor snack and order these horrible sandwiches every day. The staff is unattantive. The over promise and under deliver in every regard. Also, people are clearly using while in the program. The staff either doesn’t care or doesn’t seem to notice. Please be cautious if you’re attending this program with serious mental illness or substance abuse issues. If you’re just struggling with minor anxiety or something it might be an ok fit. BE CAUTIOUS!

*Update: It's now 2025 and there's has been a lot of changes at Worcester Arbour. New Director. My psychiatrist got an assistant, Nicole and she is amazing. Anytime I need anything she is on top of it. I'm with the same… therapist and our relationship is getting more and more trusting. I encourage people to try this place out. Their partial hospitalization program is great for adults and adolescents. They are separate. Update, it's now 2023 and theres a new director for a couple of years now.I have to be honest and say this place has gone downhill. They barely offer groups and most of them are on Zoom which in my opinion is so impersonal. I switched my pharmacy for the first time in over 10 years and they haven't updated my chart so my psychiatrist sent my meds to the wrong pharmacy. This might not sound like a big deal but I use medminder a mailing service and all my meds come prepackaged by dose so having to pick up certain meds in a bottle and put them in each little container for a month or two defeats the purpose of having them prepackaged for me. If you're just looking for a therapist and not groups or a psychiatrist then you will probably be okay here but it you're like me and need more help than that you will be at a loss. My therapist is great so I won't leave but I thought they have declined enough update my review.

In what world is it ok for a service to cut a patient off from their meds and then drop them completely after being open about their alcohol addiction? In what world is it ok for a therapist to gossip with secretaries… about their patients? Avoid this place like the plague. Btw I’m talking about you Kathy.

I'm not sure people understand the difficulties with making a program like this work. You have lots of mentally disabled people giving one star because they can't color the picture they want or couldn't speak with their… med doc right this very second. Considering the constraints and low pay the clinicians go through to just try to help people, the added digital slaps aren't really necessary. I've had no issues and have had no complaints in dealing with Dan or the staff here.

Arbour has a few programs under that roof and we’re all in a digital age. I don’t know any Business that actually answers there phone except maybe Roto-Rooter. I’ve been there awhile. They’re not much different than… other counseling services I’ve been too. I’ve been lucky enough to have the same Psychiatrist for years but I know when he leaves the next shrink will come with there own opinion and think there gonna change my meds because they have a problem which becomes my problem. This has happened at other places so it will happen again and I’m not gonna take a star away for that. When a counselor I like leaves after 6-12 months it hurts but this also happens with Primary Care doctors so the 5-Stars stay. There was a counselor I didn’t hit it off with and they found me a new one. I recently had to be relocated due to a fire and my counselor has been there for me every step of the way. I’ve liked going there for counseling and if someone needs one on one for whatever reason I’d recommend calling them

This place sucks all u do is color and sit in a seat for 6 hours unless they let u go outside or to the bathroom. U have to be silent. unless they tell u that u can speak u can’t talk about your issues or feelings… because it’s triggering u can’t laugh because it’s triggering u can’t make friends there because u can’t share content with anyone they will Randomly discharge u from the program with out reasoning it sucks they say they keep things confidential unless you trying to hurt yourself others or someone is hurting you, but then still tell your business if u even manage to get something personal about u out it’s just a horrible place if you really are seeking help, don’t come here

The actions undertaken by Kathy F Pickett and the CEO of Arbour Counseling Services can be characterized as unethical and potentially criminal in nature from a moral perspective. Involuntarily dismissing a patient… without following protocols and fraudulently billing for services not rendered is unethical and potentially criminal because it goes against the principles of patient-centered care and violates the trust placed in healthcare providers. When a patient seeks treatment, they are in a vulnerable position, relying on healthcare professionals to provide appropriate care and support. Involuntarily dismissing a patient without following proper protocols disregards their well-being and can cause harm by interrupting their treatment plan and potentially exacerbating their condition. Fraudulently billing for services not rendered is fraudulent behavior that can lead to financial harm for both the patient and the healthcare system. It also erodes trust in the healthcare industry and undermines the integrity of the billing process. Sectioning a patient under false pretenses is a serious violation of the rights of the individual. Sectioning refers to the involuntary detention of a person under mental health legislation. Doing so under false pretenses deprives the patient of their autonomy and may subject them to unnecessary psychiatric intervention or confinement. These behaviors pose significant dangers to the patient. They can result in a disruption of their treatment, emotional distress, financial harm, and a loss of trust in the healthcare system. It is crucial that healthcare providers adhere to ethical standards and follow protocols to ensure the safety, well-being, and rights of their patients.

Adult PHP is a complete joke. Zero one on one time. They told me I'd get to talk with a psychiatrist about meds and that never happened. I told them daily that I was struggling with substance issues and that was never… addressed even once. The staff all seemed very inexperienced. DO NOT waste your time here. Wish I never went, I was hoping this program would help me as I struggled but I ended up in a worse position than when I entered. If you're not a talkative person, expect to go the 6 hours without saying a single word. Unbelievable and this is a shame to call themselves a mental health program.

Actual prison, can’t get up and move for 6 hours unless gotta use the restroom, can’t talk about your problems cause it’s too triggering to talk about anything but sunshine and rainbows, practically no one-on-one time… besides them checking in for five minutes every day make sure you aren’t a danger to yourself or someone else. If you need to talk about your problems get real help, this is not the place for you. I got outed as transmasc to my mother the first day I walked in the door, name and everything. They’re here to turn profit, they don’t care about you and won’t try to help.

My teenager went to Arbour for two weeks after a suicide attempt. She seemed to do well enough in the beginning although I later found out she wasn't allowed to fully discuss her issues because they can't talk openly… about suicide in group and she didn't seem to be terribly engaged with her individual therapist. Towards the end of her two weeks she was really engaging in risky behavior. When I asked if she could continue in the program, I and was told a day before the two weeks would be up that they would look into it for me. The next day, however, I was basically told to go to the emergency room if things got bad, goodbye and good luck. They cheerfully discharged her that afternoon. I was also told Kenna would get me some information on other programs as a next step but I never heard from her again. Frankly, the whole experience was depressing and useless. If you are a parent with an at risk teen, I'd keep looking.

Those 5 star reviews are fake; no chance someone called and a receptionist answered. The phone system is an automated nightmare, but that's beside the point... My daughter was referred there for the adolescent partial… program. Kenna was completely incompetent. My phone number was all over the paperwork, yet she called the wrong number for days after the intake. When they decided to discharge my daughter after day 2, with no discussion with me, she said she called me numerous times and left messages. She called my daughter's cell phone and left a message there with the reasons she would be discharged. People are in one of the hardest points in their lives when they get referred to Arbour, and the staff there exploit the mental vulnerability of children. Arbour is everything that's wrong with the American mental health system rolled into one, incompetent, miserable, self-righteous nightmare.

Wasted 3 appointments just to tell me I needed I to go to go somewhere else. If you have substance abuse issues don’t even bother. Absolutely no point in asking 173 questions just to get to that conclusion. Thanks for… nothing.
