Success Counseling Servs – Bronx

My name is Andrew T. Gibbs. I'm a 46 year old ex career criminal, a reformed parolee, & ex con currently about to complete my parole sentence! I was released from prison on January 25, 2024. I was mandated by parole to… go to the program "Success Counceling" where I would have to do 90 days of drug & alcohol, & mental health treatment, as well as anger management. It took me approximately 1 year to complete treatment & recieve my certificate of completion due to the fact that i thought I had everything figured out until I started to encounter tragedies that I never seen coming & numerous setbacks, & relapses thinking I could cope & I couldn't! It wasn't until I actually realized that my counselor Magdelena (Maggie) & all the staff at success counseling became my family without even knowing it, which is another thing I didnt see coming, but I accepted them like they accepted me! They all smile at me & actually speak positive to me & treated me like a client, but also member of they're work family, respectfully! After completing the program, I focused on me & i was perfect, until I met someone who helped me make the choice to seek the help that I needed, so I chose to come back voluntarily to a place where the people accept me for who I am & dont judge me & help me stay well! Im not leaving! Thanks to my counselor & the entire staff at the program, I love me!

Success counseling services were very helpful and i gained an even more positive outlook on life, along with cooing skills that i have personally been able to use. I would definitely recommend success counseling… services to anyone in need of the assistance they provide.

This place is great for mental health and substance counseling. They also have amazing CRPA workers that help you with resources for employment, HRA assistance or any needs you may have. If you’re looking for assistance… with any of these services check them out.

Program is life saving and Mr. Hart is so understanding and awesome as a counselor

This company success Counseling has been very helpful. Dream fulfilled, excellent fabulous all of the above.I Love, my counselor’s definitely Love the events that they have every summer. Also, I love the fact that they… help us recover and put us in programs that help us develop and become a better persons. The clients, the receptionist and other counselors are awesome amazing and I’ve learned a lot over the years. I would recommend anyone To this program this will fulfill your life if you know how to work the program properly and you would be a renewed person in due time it has helped me in many ways of spiritual healings , growth and education, very knowledgeable on how to cope with life skills. I have used there services for at least a year and it has been amazing and I have referred family, friends and clients to them and they use their services.

This place isn’t all it’s made out to be, it’s actually trash. The only part that was enjoyable was the intake process. Once I met the black lady whose name I don’t remember to set up what groups I would attend she put… me in some uncomfortable and awkward groups. But before I get into that let’s talk about how they say they are LGBTQ friendly.. yet they don’t respect my pronouns, my gender identity, and my preferred name. It was multiple times where they would call me by my legal name after me using my preferred name and that was all the staff but the wonderful intake worker who assisted me when I started. She understood and made sure that she respected my wishes. Now to the groups, the anger management class was heavy because I’m listening to folks speak about punching people after one wrong word or pulling out a gun to shoot them. Compared to me cursing someone out for almost hitting my dog, like please explain the logic.. I then told them I work and they moved everything around my working hours which was pure dismissiveness. Randall who names sticks out has called my phone multiple times and misgendered me intentionally especially after I told him my pronouns and to just call me by preferred name instead to make it easier. No he just ignored me and still says what he wanted to. I asked to changed counselors so I can have a woman based off my comfort and the black woman whose name I forgot called me and said she will do it this one time and explained why the man was a perfect fit. This place is a fool and half of the staff should be trained on how to deal with different clients with different backgrounds. I wasn’t on parole, I don’t just get out of prison, and I wasn’t mandated! I just wanted the extra support so I don’t feel the need to smoke, it I’ve been doing just fine and without them or the weed issue. That black woman needs to be fired because she doesn’t even know how to run a anger management group and the Spanish woman who asked me how long I was in prison should be put in trainings or better yet fired right along with that black woman! AND STOP CALLING ME!

My name is Eddie Grier I want to share my experience at success counseling when I first arrived here I was angry not into it my first two and a half months here I interacted 0% I didn't want to be involved I didn't want… to be here but as the months grew on and I started to open up the staff here has tremendously helped with my mental state that I was in. My CRPA Randell helped me tremendously My counselor Amelie she was a great great help my psychotherapist Icarda has done wonders and then interacting with other staff members and my groups krysta,l Maggie the interns that was there opened me up so now I'm more leveled and I appreciate this program at one point in time. I would have never been here, they have helped me tremendously and I enjoy coming now to the program and I will continue to come as I see the need to come but again I've gotten a lot of help and assistance I'm more comfortable talking to a male rather than a female but they all have worked wonders with me and again I give a lot of credit to Mr Randell the CRPA because no matter when or where he's there for me and that's how I feel about this program up to now .

I can’t thank Success Counseling in the Bronx enough for the support I’ve received. Once you walk in you’re greeted with smiles and good energy. I started counseling with Crystal, and she truly opened my eyes to how… important and beneficial it is to seek help. At first, I didn’t think I needed counseling, but when I hit a tough place mentally, she walked me through it with patience and understanding. When I needed help with court, Crystal connected me with CRPA Randell, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to be by my side. He actually showed up for me in court and, in the short time I’ve known him, has felt like a best friend. He’s insightful, charismatic, hilarious, and has a way of making me feel like everything will be okay while still keeping it real. This program has had a huge impact on my life, and I highly recommend Success Counseling to anyone who is seeking guidance, support, or just someone to truly listen. They go above and beyond for the people they help.

They treat you like family from day one. Very thorough training, organized operation, and accommodating to students academic needs. Ms. Lee’s an incredible mentor, very receptive to questions and guidance.

Mr. Randell help me out with my situation…and he was so helpful that this is the reason why I am writing this message….we definitely need more people like him….thanks to him, now my situation has changed for the… better…..thank to success counseling, and thanks a lot to Randell…🙏🙏🙏

I man enough to admit that I believed in my heart that this program wasn’t going to help me in no kind of way. However, from day one, the help was great! It taught me how to deal with the many different personities that… I was sure to encounter after doing 30 years in prison. It taught how to be independent, but most important, it taught me how to LOVE MYSELF GENUINELY and not half-ass! My guy, Mr. Randell, the #1 CRPA, has taught more than he could ever know. And he’s a “DOER”, not a talker. He is the reason why I decided to stay in this program. With that said, I leave you with this; if you’re serious about moving forward in life and changing for the better, attend Success Counseling! And if you can, try to get on Mr. Randell’s schedule. He’s the BEST!

This place is horrible. They will get you violated by parole .
