I have loved this kinda place for quite sometime!! I have been getting along with a same psychotherapist I had for quite sometime

My special needs daughter finally is with the smartest most empathetic PHd… EVER! Just a wonderful human being and terrific therapist. My daughter isn’t easy to let anyone in, but loves Dr Ruiz and so do I. Thank you… Doc!

The orientation went good all the instructors were so nice and explain everything good. Answer everyone’s questions can’t wait to start the program and to get know everyone for the Day Hab.

This is truly a horrible agency, both therapists and psychiatrist NP (not real MD) are not experienced or professional. My son stopped therapies after a few sessions, the psychiatrists have missed his medication refills… and never returned calls or emails. They can’t even do a virtual session. The appointment is always a phone call of a few minutes. Medication management is also not good. Please stay away.

Not helpful at all

I tried 2 sessions with Kate and never again. She was very judgy made me feel worse and very VERY unorganized. She would always forget our appointments and on top of that, when I was trying to vent out my emotions she… would just switch the topic to herself like come on lady are u even licensed

The company very welcoming

I am not satisfied with this program. There is a lack of communication they never answer the phone. Not willing to help the young adult. The driver is very nasty to my child. I don’t recommend this program to any one.… my child was unattended for seven hours from the driver. We thought that she was in the program get a call towards the end of the day. Nobody let me know what happened. They act like nothing happened.

My son is a client of Dr. Ruthie. She has helped my son overcome a lot of his issues. She speaks to him about things going in his life during his appointment. She helped him during the loss of his grandmother. She is up… to date on newer medications that has changed my son's life for the better.

I am writing to share a deeply troubling and invalidating experience I had during a neuropsychological evaluation conducted by a nurse practitioner at this facility. My interaction was so unprofessional that I feel… compelled to warn others, especially members of the BIPOC community. The provider's behavior was not only dismissive but also stunningly contradictory. Early in the session, when I asked her how she would define "good grades," she replied that it was "however I would define it," seemingly respecting my personal perspective. However, this supposed respect completely vanished when the topic shifted to my identity. The most alarming aspect of the evaluation was the provider's cultural incompetence and reliance on harmful stereotypes. She made a broad, unsubstantiated assertion that people from Hong Kong believe physical discipline is an acceptable form of child-rearing. As a Black provider, she then condescendingly attempted to "educate" me, an Asian individual, about my own culture based on her prejudiced assumptions. The hypocrisy of her earlier comment became clear when she asked for my ethnicity. I replied, "Asian," to which she retorted, "That's not an ethnicity. Which country?" This question not only revealed her ignorance about the distinction between ethnicity and nationality but also carried the implicit, offensive assumption that I could not possibly be from the United States. She was willing to accept my definition of grades, but not my own ethnic identity. I left this evaluation feeling disrespected, alienated, and deeply offended. A neuropsychological evaluation should be a safe and objective process. Instead, I was met with bias and hypocrisy. I cannot recommend this provider or practice and would strongly advise others to seek care from clinicians who are committed to providing genuinely respectful and culturally competent treatment.

I cannot stress how disappointed I am with this agency. My daughter has been without her medication for days now because of their doctors and administrators poor planning. They do not seem to have enough staff to manage… their clients needs or preparations for after hour emergencies. It appears at this point that clients are not their priority. Supervisors do not return calls and doctors are unpleasant and rude. It is disheartening to experience this from professionals whom people turn to for mental health care.

Horrible company the NPs need more training on cultural trauma in women and adhd in women!! Been sent to the hospital multiple times because I got horrible advice. Don’t send your kids or young adults here. They… gaslight into taking the wrong medication and get mad when you stop taking it. They aren’t educated on Mental health in women at all. Especially when you tell them it’s something you struggled with your entire life. “Well it works for other people why wouldn’t it work for you”? Because it doesn’t??? They don’t tell you the side effects or what to avoid while taking the medication the just prescribe to get to their next client. Supervisors need to be changed as well because they don’t take the matters seriously. Therapists here do a lot more work than NPs. I’ve been told I’m not going to lose my medical license over you. And that she’s because she studied it means she knows me better than I do.

My child attended therapy for several months with Brent Baynon. I do not believe Brent works well across demographics and could benefit from implicit bias training. Brent repeatedly and inappropriately tried to sway… parenting decisions, namely my decision not to allow my child access to technology. I also believe Brent was easily manipulable by both my child and staff from my child's school which consulted him on educational matters that the school and I disagreed. Ultimately, I felt Brent was not equipped to treat my child and that he alienated, rather than support me with the behavioral concerns for which I took my child to Epic.

I started coming to epic in early October of 2023. I have been having sessions with Gabriella Bruno, who works as an LMSW. Gabriella is absolutely incredible and by far the best therapist I have ever worked with. She… has cultivated the most welcoming and safest space I have ever been in. I feel incredibly confident and comfortable in speaking with her about my trauma, thoughts, emotions, etc. I also truly value her input and advice. Her professionalism is unmatched and truly incredible. She is immensely kind, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, intellectual, well-informed, etc, etc the list of positive attributes goes on and on. I would recommend Gabriella to anyone in a heartbeat she truly is amazing and I believe she has the incredible ability to help so many people. I am so grateful to be a patient of hers and I genuinely look forward to the even greater progress I know I will achieve in working with her. Also I would like to mention how wonderful the secretaries are in the office as well, they are incredibly kind and very well organized. I have had a few small issues with epic such as an unfortunate appointment with another psychiatrist here but it was resolved quickly and professionally. I also have had issues with the woman who allows people into the building, however, despite those two frustrations the rest of Epic and the care I have recieved vastly outweighs the negative. It is because of that, that I am still giving this review a 5/5 stars. I highly recommend this place to anyone because there are truly some incredible people here, espescially Gabriella!
