Erie County Detox Unit – Sandusky Detox and Rehab Services

Erie County Detox Unit – Sandusky carries a listing for detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

I was in desperate need of seeing a dentist to hopefully have my wisdom tooth looked at and referred to an oral surgeon. But after Michael the dentist examined the tooth, he quickly informed that he could himself pull… the tooth. His confidence was all I needed. So the tooth was pulled 20 minutes later. This place is amazing from the moment you enter the door. From the workers at the front desk, the dental assistants and of course the dentist were amazing.

Absolutely love everything about this place. I discovered it when I was having massive tooth pain with no insurance. She knew it would be difficult to take out because I cracked a wisdom tooth but the dentist nailed it… and so quickly!!!! I was so happy to be out of pain finally that I cried like a baby and hugged her!. After that someone helped me sign up for insurance, it took about a month, I got my cards amd immediately scheduled a full work up. Fell in love with Hannah immediately she is soooo funny and spunky and just a cool chick. She got me a birth control implant the same day along with a full woman inspection and bloodwork within the week. They are very thorough about making sure you get everything you need especially when you haven't been to a Dr in 10 years. Dentist, obgyn & primary Dr all in 1 building where i can also get my prescriptions. It's the best

I was sitting there in July of 2024 they told me I either had to get these two upper teeth pulled or get a crown they wanted to pull them right then and there I called this morning a year and a half later to ask if I… could get in for an emergency and they give me a big run around told me I had to come in for an exam and go through the whole process again what's the point of even having emergency service if you can't depend on them and then I told the lady I was going to research this and she hung up on me unreal

The dental services provided were consistently excellent, marked by easy scheduling, a clean and welcoming environment, and clear communication about procedures and costs. The clinical team was professional, gentle, and… attentive to patient comfort, using modern technology and strict hygiene practices. Treatments were well-executed with great results, and follow-up care was thorough. Overall, the experience was highly positive and the clinic is strongly recommended at ECHD and EHOVE.

I was completely impressed when I moved up from Florida, this place scheduled all my appts. In 1 day. Finding a Dr. In Florida was awful. Everone was booked out 6 months. Here I got a dr for dental, psychological and… medical right away!

They are a pure form of god. I was really struggling to find physician who can see in reasonable or cheaper amount. And i found erie county health depart and they guys did visit and medicines in $25 only. That is true.… If yoo are really struggling to find or have a good physician you must go there. Insurance, resident doesn’t matter. Instead of paying $350 at well known health providers ( this was with me) You guys are the best. Will visit in future for sure . Great job 👍👍 They are caring for people in real manner, instead of taking excessive amounts

strange complaint, but the lights are seriously way too bright in that place… To the point where it is uncomfortable. You need sunglasses to sit in the lobby, it hurts my eyes.

I needed to have a tooth extracted and I was super nervous. I was impressed at how clean the place was and the staff was very friendly. Dr Kanani set me at ease and did a great job. It was not an easy extraction and I… was so grateful to have that tooth removed.

This was a waist of my time I live an hour away just for them to tell me they can't perform the oral surgery I need. Like seriously and the nurse assistant was really rude so was the foreign dr was rude as well. I… wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I needed to get a tooth extracted and was beyond nervous. The dentist was beyond nice and eased all my worries. Once I was in the back it took about 25 minutes. He numb everything very well and I literally felt no pain.… If your like me please trust me and don't worry your in good hands. Also receptionists were super nice. Everything was really clean as well.

Okay so I don't usually write reviews. But for the last 3 months I have been struggling with tooth pain. From a tooth that broke in half. Every dental office that I had tried to go to, to get this tooth pulled told me… either they couldn't accept new patients, couldn't accept my Medicaid, or weren't taking new patients. So I got a hold of Erie County General Health Department, and they had me come in the following week. After 3 months of pain and in one visit in less than an hour they looked at my tooth, took x-rays of my tooth, confirmed with me that it was okay to try and pull said tooth, had me fill out paperwork to be able to pull the tooth, and then proceeded to pull said tooth. I am now outside the office getting ready to leave. But I wanted to write a review to let everyone know that these are friendly people, they are very helpful, polite, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I will be coming back here to have my teeth looked at and have them as a regular doctor from now on even though I live in Port Clinton. If you want someone to take care of you that is going to be professional, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable these are the people to go to. Thank you to all of the staff and crew here you people are amazing thank you so much.

Unbelievably awful. The absolute worst people on the planet work there.. if you are struggling with mental health and need help and to detox they will have you drive hours in bad weather there just to tell you to leave… they are dishonest awful people.. I pray the people that really need help get it somewhere else because they won't get it there

Let me say that I start with I am extremely disappointed. I have been using the Erie County Health Department for 10 plus years. I have high blood pressure controlled by medication. I got a call from the Kroger Pharmacy… that they had 1 prescription ready. Confused, I went to Kroger's to pick up my prescription and asked why the others were not filled. They told me that they had sent the request over and had not heard anything back. The pharmacist then said she would fax over a request and she still had not heard anything back. So I go to the health department to pay the bill from my August visit and ask why it was not filled. They told me that I need to see a doctor there to get it filled even though I was just there in August and had received a 6 month supply of the other 2 medications. It just sounds like they want to get their numbers up and increase their revenue. Seriously, why do I need to see a doctor every 3 months when I have been on these meds for over 10 years? I find it highly unprofessional and questionable ethically to allow a patient to run out of a necessary medication. Not only that, they didn't even bother to explain to the pharmacy why they were not filling it nor did they ever contact me to make an appointment to renew the prescription. There is absolutely no excuse for any of this. I think it is time to find another provider and let others know how poor the service at the Health Department has become. I plan to vote accordingly on future levies and resent the fact that my tax dollar go to fund this organization....... I mean this unorganization.

Twenty-five dollars 👀 for a copy of a birth certificate. 😖 After getting that said, the process of getting a copy of a birth certificate could not have been e-zer. First window in the lobby a nice helpful young lady… asked if she could help me. Told her what I needed and she got me taken care of immediately and on the not so merry way I went.🙂 After I was robbed of Twenty-five dollars. Ridiculous !! 🙄
