Silver Maple Recovery – Lorain

It was beyond amazing experience been at SILVER MABLE RECOVERY AS AN OUTPATIENT. The staff are beyond amazing the are there to help you with everything you need.

There treatment SUCKS. They took my phone numbers to my treatment plan with websites name and passwords on a note book. They said they didn't have them. They took my blanket and let other people go through my clothes. I… ended up in the hospital cause of their treatment methods.

I loved it there, very well taken care!!

This place should be shut down for real it is literally the worst place I’ve ever went to and tried to get sober the nurses are the most awful people and treat the patients like they are the scum of the earth and that… the patients are a inconvenience and they are miserable in there own lives so they take it out on people that are trying to get better. I’ve been there more than once and every time I’ve left after just a day or two. Place should be condemned

I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to learn new coping skills to battle the disease of addiction. Let’s be real our statistics aren’t good but anyone can recover if they have the capacity to be honest… with themselves. AA and NA have saved millions of people who work the 12 steps !!! I pray I stay sober and you get help if you need it . Thanks to counselor Eric , Jahida , Steph , Matt and Jaered!!! Also Linda and Lisa yall were great!!! Shout out to the kitchen Sherri and Brad much love and respect !!!

I only put 5 stars so you can see the review . It’s really one star . This facility is the worst one I’ve dealt with. I called a week ago left a message and never got called back so I called again yesterday and they… took all my information and said they’d call me back in 15 minutes to let me know if I can get in but it’s been 24 hours and they still haven’t called nor are they answering the phone and I’ve called like 11 times and they won’t answer the phone and I’m at home going through it with withdrawals for over 24 hours . They really don’t care .

My experience at Siver Maple Recovery has helped me with not just my addiction, but helped me learn how to start a new life without substances. The people who work there are caring, professional, empathetic with… integrity. They make days in life that may seem terrible end with laughter. They love their job and are employed with a purpose to change lives. The food is wonderful, comfort is priority.

I had a really great time up until Rebecca and Jackie treated me the way they did. Do not go here if you are autistic, court ordered, or need real mental health help. They will mess with your medications, put your… safety at risk, misplace or steal your belongings, and will not accommodate any of your needs then when you raise hell about it or have a mental health crisis (which stemmed from her public treatment of me and removal of my meds) Rebecca will kick you out after publicly humiliating you and talking about your business to others. Jackie tried to hold my hand after I asked her not to. It is highly unprofessional and dangerous for people who are severely struggling and dealing with triggers around abuse, they should not work with the general public and need to have their licenses reevaluated. Some of the nurses are no better. Please do better with autistic accommodations and more empathic staff and this place would flourish.

Over all Silver Maple was an amazing facility. The councilors were wonderful! Carrie, Jarod, Jessie, Jerry and Matt (there’s one more amazing councilor but her names slipping my mind Jesidia?) were all awesome… councilors and I truly enjoyed both their classes and them as individuals! Linda and Lisa at the front desk are the absolute best and go out of there way to help you! Everyone mentioned go above and beyond to help you and genuinely care! I loved group, the food was great, and the patients all support each other. The facility was very nice and so were the rooms. The only thing I wouldn’t suggest is detoxing there because their medical protocol wasn’t the best but if you want to go there for the 30 day program I highly recommend. Other then that there was 1 VERY in appropriate councilor that I believe may no longer be there and hopefully for everyone’s sake she isn’t because she made everyone extremely uncomfortable and did things no councilor should. You also twice a week get to go next door to a sports center that’s a blast! Other than that 10/10 and I’d still give a 5 star rating because the good definitely out weighed the bad. One last thing Carrie my personal councilor was amazing, she may get a bad rep because she calls people out on their bs but a bunch of addicts sometimes need put in their place and thats what she does when you need it most but she genuinely cares and has a wonderful heart! Thank you Silver Maple and everyone who works or is a client there your all amazing and saved me at a time I truly needed the help, I’ll forever be greatful!

Good councilors except for the one who shall not be named she eggs on clients to provoke them and openly talks bad about her colleagues and residents. C. Then there a 2 really rude nurses that shouldn’t have a job… dealing with people in detox. Also don’t bring anything you won’t need cuz they have a tendency to lose things, and don’t bring anything that you are too worried about looking good because the washers there do mess them up. The curriculum is good but the most of the councilors except for 1 M need to engage more because the papers only take 15 minutes out of a hour and a half class so your sitting there bullshitting about stuff that doesn’t pertain to recovery. The bed rooms are nice all though it is unfair the woman do not have locks on the doors and can sneak off during the day while all the men’s doors are locked, food is the best thing there the cooks are amazing

Silver maple is amazing!! This place truly saved my life!! Staff is amazing!! Helped me change my entire perspective on life!! Thanks to silver maple I recently celebrated a year of sobriety!! Also the sober living… apartments are beautiful. They are a great stepping stone to building a better life for yourself. My life wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as it is today without the help of this facility and all the amazing people in it!! Thank you so much for everything all of you have done for me!! I am forever grateful for each and every one of you!!

I will never recommend this place to anyone. A family member was referred here by UH and the facility ended up loosing all of her life sustaining heart meds. Her BP was reading very low and should have been taken to the… hospital but instead they moved her to a sister facility where she fell, hit her head, and had a seizure. The director personally promised us that he would locate the meds and bring them to her. I provided him with all the info to make that possible and it was never done. He then stopped communicating with me. They also lost her clothes and shoes. I ended up finding out where her meds were and picking them up myself because they weren't capable. This facility owes a specific duty of care to people trying to get help and that was not provided and sadly she got hurt in the process. Very unprofessional and negligent.

This place has gone downhill. When it opened years ago, it was a nice facility with new amenities and delicious food. Over the years, the place hasn't been kept up; the walls are all scratched up, and they have broken… doors and chairs. They leave it that way and don't fix it. They cut the food budget, they used to have a pop machine and got rid of that, and they used to offer snacks and stopped that. The menu used to provide a good variety, not tiny portions. You can't even get a pen or pencil to write with. The gym equipment used to be nice, but now it is broken. The staff's feedback on all these issues is that they are not included in the budget. The clinical director, Rebecca, is very rude and treats the clients poorly. The counselors consistently talk about clients and other staff members with different clients in the room. The executive director is nonexistent. When she is there, she hides in her office with the door closed, and if a client tries to speak to her, she brushes them off. This place used to be well run under the old leadership, but the new leadership is changing this place, and not for the better. They run the place like a jail now and treat the clients poorly. They are always talking about the budget, and half the time, they don't have enough staff on duty because the staff said they had to send staff members home because of the low census. This is not how you should operate a business. This place has become very financially driven and not about the clients anymore. Lastly, they offer incentives to get clients to put good reviews on here for them. I witnessed this with the counselors telling clients make sure you put in a 5 star review on google for us.

I came to silver Maple June on this year didn't know what to expect at first I was reluctant but as I opened up to the counciing things started to change it's a great place if u want what they have to offer I NEW WAY OF… LIFE .. They absolutely care and want everybody to succeed... So if you're looking to get sober and you want to get the best treatment possible silver maple is the best

Poor communication. If u email the directors they don't respond and then retaliate towards a person within their facility and give them nowhere to go by throwing their things in a bag and kicking them out....

Silver maple is a wonderful place for recovery. The staff and councilors are amazing and give you a safe place to express yourself and get the treatment that you deserve. Campus west is the apartments that they offer… after your residential treatment and it’s a very at home feeling and wonderful people here to also help you navigate this new journey that we all are on.

I am currently in the silver maple recovery apartments campus west . It's just been a life saver for me. It teaches me structure, accountability, responsibility and keeps me motivated to do better. Staff cares genuinely… about us. I love this opportunity to better my life. Here I have guidance and I'm learning how to be the best me I can.

Since I came to silver maple apartments.. I have grown as a person with the help from Ms.Besty and All my peers I love it here. I decided to take a path I have never traveled down for the1st time and I'm glad I did not… only am I close to my family but silver maple has become my family also. High suggest come here!

Silver Maple is an amazing program. The counselors and all of the staff are great to work with. They treat all the clients very well and they go above and beyond to help. The rooms are comfortable and the food is great.… They have a nice gym and a sports complex next-door that the clients are able to go to as well. They also have sober housing (comfortable apartment units) that help you integrate back into work after you complete the program, with an iop program. I highly recommend Silver Maple and all of the programs that are available for anybody that’s struggling with alcohol or substance abuse!!! I’ve been to other treatment centers, and this is the best by far.

Amazing treatment facility. The sober living apartments are beautiful, the staff is extremely caring and helpful. Would highly suggest for long term sobriety.

Silver maple in Lorain is absolutely amazing I wouldn't be alive and sober today without them I am grateful and thankful for everyone there especially receptionist Linda, nurses Bre, miss Peggy and Miss Cory, the… amazing intake nurse Lisa, and last but most definitely not least the nurse manager miss Desiree

I had amazing counseling from the rehabilitation part, Kristina, cherry ,Mel, and Charlie needs raises there amazing what ever there paid ain't enough....I'm currently in the sober living part and if your doing the… right thing and putting your sobriety first Dave and the RAs will help you get things done....this place has saved my life...now as for there IOP even if you don't stay here Mrs.Judy runs a great group and she will help you with everything and anything!!! This place is like AA it works if you work it!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

I have called several times asking about my brother and I have gotten nothing but disrespect, and attitude. Only makes me wonder how they are treating the patients! If you don’t like your job please leave it and quit… because these people need help and some are cared for by other people. Have a little compassion or quit.
