Pomeroy BH Clinic – Pomeroy appears on the register for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. My 19 year old son has been dealing with significant heart symptoms. Before he was even seen, someone from this office (Pamela Weismans office) told us over the phone that he probably needed medication for anxiety. We… continued to express that we did not believe anxiety explained what he was experiencing. The nurse was pushing anxiety so hard on him if he didn’t know any better and just had good faith in medical team he would’ve went with it. I’m worried about the ones who would and this team would miss something serious just to write it off as anxiety. He was then prescribed medication for GERD. We continued pushing for further evaluation and eventually got a heart monitor. The monitor showed PVCs, and during the monitoring period he had an episode where his heart rate went up to around 200 and he was sent to the ER. What is most frustrating to me is that we repeatedly had to advocate for further cardiac evaluation. Had we not continued pushing, he could have been treated for anxiety without the underlying issue being investigated. We also had a frustrating experience trying to get the heart monitor set up and had to make several calls ourselves. Some of our interactions with the office were also rude and dismissive toward him. Because of this experience, we have decided to switch providers. I would encourage anyone with anything serious going on to go somewhere else.

My dentist is dr Britton she is absolutely amazing I genuinely can’t thank her enough she actually cares and that’s just something you don’t see often enough anymore, I never had a pretty smile, my whole childhood I was… neglected, never had access to a dentist even throughout my teen years, thanks to her I can smile and laugh without feeling insecure and covering my face I hope dentists understand just how amazing they really are and how thankful so many of us are, I don’t think anyone wants bad teeth but sometimes things happen and I’m grateful for the work they put in to help us all 💗

I scheduled for a dentist appointment and I have DELTA DENTAL insurance which they insisted on seeing the card. They don’t issue cards, the dentist has a website that they are to look up the info. After waiting 20… minutes I get called back up to the window saying they couldn’t find my info and wanted ME to call (their job)! Lazy, incompetent staff! Go somewhere else!

I haven’t been seen recently but at an appointment I had 2 years and some change ago (Feb 7 2022) with Dr Donald Newberry for treatment and it was absolutely traumatic and I never complained. I think often of the… comment he made to me. At the time, I was dealing with obesity. I have an extensive history with eating disorders - in fact was hospitalized for anorexia. At the time Donald saw me, I was at my heaviest as I was again experiencing disordered eating. He looked at my history with hopewell and saw my past counselor noted anorexia. To which he looked me up and down in his office and told me “you should get one of those ‘I beat anorexia’ shirts”. I was too stunned to say anything. I took my test and left and have always regretted not standing up for myself. That comment makes me sick to my stomach everytime I think about it which is often - 2 years after the fact as well. To know he was addressed about this would be nice. Every other person I’ve ever interacted with in my time with hopewell has been so positive and helpful — But Dr. Newberry did more damage than was helpful.

Dr. Britton saved my smile. I'll never be able to thank her enough. After 10 years of expensive bandaid fixes, dentists that made me feel awful, and struggling to be confident with myself she solved it all in 2 visits.… I have never loved my teeth more and it is so freeing to smile without fear of what others think. I will never see another dentist in my life. Thank you so much to everyone who helped me get my smile back. I'll forever be grateful. We need more dentists like this!!!!!!

Confusing! If you know you are going to need an extraction or something like that just go to a dentist that already does that on site, this place will send you to a dental surgeon. I actually ended up seeing both… dentists here. I had a bad tooth and was in a lot of pain. I knew the tooth was bad and had every intention of just taking it out (back tooth). X-rays were taken and she said she saw one bad tooth that was getting infected. She put in a referral for a root canal in Parkersburg and to have another tooth checked because it looked like there could be an issue. I can't afford root canals even with my insurance and was surprised when the other place told me there was a referall for two root canals. I said never mind, I'm just going to get a referral for an extraction. In between that first appointment and my extraction they had made me an appointment for a filling and cleaning, but with the other dentist. The filling came first and it was on a tooth that was not giving me any issues. I didn't even know I had a cavity there. After the filling I had sensitivity in that tooth and months later I still cannot fully chew on it. I went back for the cleaning and told the dental hygienist about the pain so she brought the dentist in and he took another x-ray of it and said he couldn't see any issue with it and if it continued to get worse and not better he'd schedule a...you guessed it, root canal. He also said the wisdom tooth next to my bad tooth needed to be extracted as well. So that made TWO teeth that needed to come out. I made the appointment for the extraction and they had a referral for THREE teeth to be pulled. I told them we were only extracting one for now. I left the wisdom tooth in because I'm not having any discomfort or issues with it. I'll deal with it when I need to. So not only was it hard to get a solid idea about what was going on with my teeth, I now have a tooth I can't fully use after it was "fixed". It really hasn't helped me change my mind about going to the dentist being a stressful ordeal.

My one star is for Margaret Mary Hayman. Since the day we met I could tell she did not like me very well for what reason I don't know why but anyways I went in with a lump in my breast and she told me it was just… calcium buildup so I go back to work and it's cancer and it grew so big that I had to have my breasts removed. Dr Lee Ann Reed was prescribed me gabapentin and I was prescribed from her for years and never had no problems then Heyman took over start giving me drug screens while I'm going through chemo and before chemo my urine screens were always positive but one day it wasn't and she had to do something to it because I have a recording of me taking my medication three times a day before my appointment and then one the day of my appointment and it came back negative.and I knew for some reason she was going to try to get me cut off my medication so I had to start recording myself to take my medication so I would have proof for when she decided to cut me off. I have triple negative carcinoma breast cancer and she was giving me 5 Klonopins three a day as if it's a strong medication only fives, so I already had to suffer without having my Gabapentin so I knew she was going to try to find a reason to cut me off my Klonopin as well so the next time I went in she cut me down the two a day, so then that really pissed me off because I haven't done anything wrong and someone with breast cancer PTSD social anxiety disorder ADHD and it's all in my charts and wakes up every day knowing that they only have one breast and that the breast cancer can come back at any time I have to keep my port n for up to 5 years for when it does come back so I wake up and panic attacks, so she brought me down to two a day so that's when I said forget it I'm done with her I will try to go get him somewhere else because she's supposed to be helping people not be putting people through hell and that's all she did was put me through hell, and she is one of the worst doctors I have ever seen in my life or met or anything she tries to do anything to ruin ur life, and she ruined mine.Dr,LeeAnne helped me she was giving me gabapentin and I never had no problems with her for 2 years and then as soon as Dr Mary Heyman takes over I start having problems so we can see who's the problem person is.

curious as to why i had to wait over an hour for my appointment. i needed 60 seconds of the dentist time to write a simple referral.(keeping in mind the routine check i had w the dentist last year took no more than 2… minutes in her chair and they had me leave). i’m made to be there 15 minutes early so they can be late? i ask the lady how much longer the wait will be after im already there 40 minutes. “uh i can ask”, never comes back. i sit another 15, others that came in later are called ahead. safe to say i left, and was called about 4 minutes afterwards LOL. that couldve been avoided if the lady would’ve actually came back and let me know something. didn’t even waste more of my time going back. nothing they can/will do to relieve my pain anyways. all i requested was a simple referral to a dentistry that actually does work. this place doesn’t pull teeth, they don’t have a hygienist to clean them anymore. i’m curious about what they even do to make everyone wait long periods of time. patients should be forewarned if they’re going to be sitting there at most 30 minutes past scheduled appointment time in my opinion. i can’t be over 15 minutes late or i wont be seen period. i think we all miss margie lawson😆 receptions always been great, most techs on dentistry side are not very welcoming. primary care dr finlaw is fantastic.

the 5 star review I give because of the psychiatrist LeAnn Reed. She literally saved my life. I was on the brink of suicide before I met her and she put me on this combo of meds and saved my life. She is literally the… best Dr if you need a psychiatrist. She listens, cares, is kind, will listen to you and give you what you need to be stable. I highly recommend her have nothing bad to say about her and she is a great great Dr. Highly recommend the behavioral health center there they do a good job. And Marsha and Beth Leanns nurse is great to. The receptionist people Cheyenne and Tracy and Lisa are great. All of them but those three I know personally and are great people and are busy but they'll get you in and make you feel comfortable. Now the dentist there are horrible. Especially Dr. G. He pulled a perfectly good tooth causing it to be a food trap and. I screamed in agony for a good five ten seconds but he continued to pull for what reason idk. I've called lawyers but they say it's statute of limitations. Just wish I would of never seen him. He knows nothing of what he's doing. I warn you

I was a patient of NP Hayman until noon today when I terminated the relationship. In 2 visits there have been multiple errors in prescribing, she was over an hour late to my second appointment and walked in the room… wholly unaware of the previous visit having not reviewed my chart, there was 0 follow-up to the prior authorization for my diabetes medication denial and no alternative medications offered. Carelessness and unpreparedness kills patients. Upon her finding out that I was discharging her as my PCP Mz Hayman proceeded to call me directly and during that call she was condescending and self-excusing, blatantly misrepresented her actions and accepted no accountability. I have had excellent experiences with the staff, MA’s and other personnel of the office but in my experience Mz. Hayman is an unsafe practitioner. I regret to give the 1 star rating as I believe it doesn’t reflect the quality of the center itself but her unprofessional behavior and poor practice warrants disclosure.
