Greater Cincinnati BH Services – Amelia Detox and Rehab Services

What Greater Cincinnati BH Services – Amelia offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The record shows integrated treatment rather than one problem then the other. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Increased my manbreast size with Anti Psychotics. Did not properly warn me about how the increased weight. Would further damage my chances of recovery. From another doctor who injured me. My pelvic floor was strained so… badly. I couldn't move, walk, and run properly for 8 years. I need my life back before I came here. I pray to God everyday to return my life to normal. But these people forbid me from being who I truly deserved to be. I wish I never came here. I hate my family for not seeing through them. I want my original body back.

Everything was going great but they called me this morning to tell me my case manager quit and I had to start coming in. Jen let me do my visit on the phone, as Im already seeing a therpist and that at Brightview for… rehab. My family doctor told me i needed to find someone else to prescribe mental health medications. Between my family doc, rehab, this place, and my cardiologist, I have an appt for something every single month. Sometimes I have 3 or 4 appts in a single month. I dont drive so it was super cool to be able to do a tele health visit. Do not recommend this place at all. They make you do way too much all for life saving medication. Absolutely ridiculous.

They will juggle your stimulants and jeopardize your health for their anti psychotics. Avoid them if you enjoy your wardrobe and your youthful looks. Or if your old enough your self-respect.

The front office staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming, making the intake process smooth and comfortable. The positives end there. My experience with the therapist was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately,… she was deceitful and seemed more focused on rushing through the session rather than genuinely listening or addressing my concerns. I felt judged and dismissed, which only added to my frustration. The lack of patience and the rude attitude made it difficult to feel comfortable or supported during the session. It’s really unfortunate because the initial impression with the staff was great, but the therapy session itself was a letdown. I sincerely hope that improvements are made in terms of therapist conduct, as this type of experience can be detrimental to someone seeking help.

I came here seeking mental health services (not court ordered or addiction related) and the person who did my mental health evaluation (David) was very soft spoken, kind, and helpful.

Worst decision I've ever made to go here! They basically threatened to call CPS if I didn't continue going. Once GCB does their walk through I'm done with this place! They completely lost my trust all they care about is… prescribing meds and collecting money. Disgusting practices literally threatening you if you don't come back!

My uncle has mental problems he has been left with no heat and no way to call for 2 weeks this is the 2nd time he had no phone for a long period of time how was he to call for help . Even when they came no one done a… once over to make sure things worked. As much as I hate to be like this or even say it I had to threaten to call local sheriff's dept for elderly abuse. You don't leave elders or mentally ill people without away to call for help. Do better and the turn around of employees is just ridiculous. How is a patient or person to gain personal confidence in the one providing care or to be there to get food the day scheduled. They all must hold themselves to a higher standard of services provided. Peace and Grace please do better.

Left a one star here awhile ago I guess Im in the same boat as most of you I stayed going to this place because I had no where else to go they give bad meds most of there cms don't care the ones that do don't stay long… I suggest going else where they don't want to help you get disability so jump through a bunch of hoops for them for nothing can't wait till the voters finally decided they've had a enough of there money grubing ways and slash there funding until they shut the doors for good the gcbh won't be missed trust me.........

Court ordered mental health eval? Don’t come here. I was told it would be a 15 minute wait I’ve been here for 2 hours as they have taken back 20+ other patients.

Never return calls showed up multiple times before 2pm like they said to see someone was sent away saying I'd recieve a call which never came. Finally came back and demanded to see someone due and was given a survey… about very personal info by an uncaring staff and was basically turned away and was told they couldn't help me with depression and other mental health problems I was having. Deserves 0 stars and was clear from start they didn't care. Should be shut down!

Amy Trent is wonderful. I got a new case manager. Amy told me to make an appt on 11/21 as she had written down. I kept calling from 11/21 to 11/23 trying to get an appt as told by Amy Trent. I also left a message with… my case manager well over 24 hours. No one would give me an answer until I got very upset. I was ignored. All I wanted was an answer of what was going on. I will check to see if I can file a complaint. I feel my case manager was trying to ignore me. I got an answer after I got extremely upset. I will file a complaint. I felt my case manager just did not care.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would!!! Weeks on end with no call backs... they say leave a voice mail we'll get back to you.. THAT'S A LIE! ive been trying to get in with the doctor for my mediation refills for over a… week and a half!!! Last time I saw her (after she canceled or the nurses rescheduled MULTIPLE times for no reason) she told me if that ever happens again I SHOULD TRY TO CUT DOWN ON MY MEDS TO STRING THEM OUT TIL I CAN GET IN TO SEE THEM!!!!! The prescribing doctor is only there MONDAY AND TUESDAY'S and they will only only only schedule you within TWO weeks out! The lady who does scheduling literally laughed at me because I have a 40 minute to an hour drive and I have to know a head of time to get there as my transportation is so spotty like SO MANY other that go to this facility!!!! Also who knows the last time my case worker checked in, called or did LITERALLY ANYTHING AT ALL FOR ME.... -10/10 DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CHOICE!!!! Who ever prescribe the medicine doesn't even do it right and guess what you spend over a week trying to reach a nurse or ANYONE to fix it!!!!! THIS PLACE DOES NOT CARE AT ALL ONE SINGLE BIT FOR THEIR "PATIENTS" You are just money to them and nothing more!!!!!

There for awhile I thought they had changed for the better. Well, that went downhill FAST!!! I've left voice-mails for 3 different people for the past 2½ weeks and no one is returning my calls! I've been going here for… many years and they can't keep employees. I've had so many case managers, doctors, and counselors. It's like a revolving door! I don't feel that we, the "clients" are the priority.

All they are out for is disabilities peoples money!! They was paying my son 50.00 a week!! And taking the rest of it!! How can people live on that kind of money? He needs things too just like anybody else!! And they put… him a medication that about killed him and now he is messed up even more the rest of his life!! They want to control him and I have guardianship of him!!

Used to be good but now it's really bad. I can't drive and live in the middle of nowhere but my caseworker can only take me to things for "mental health matters". Doctor's appointment, nope. Only mental health matters.… Doesn't matter that I was in so much pain it was affecting my mental health. New caseworker is a little better but I need help with more things than just "mental health matters". I had a good one that would take me to get groceries and just out of my house. I don't have a driver's license and live in the middle of nowhere for reasons beyond my control. But the policies have changed I guess....for the worst.

Just not feeling the love, feel neglected and forgotten about by my case manager... Oh great a person who struggles with depression and thoughts of suicide really need to be feeling forgotten... I've heard the excuse of… "oh we have a lot of patients here and not a lot of staff..ok cool... I got handle it when you're handling someone else's case. But it seems like with me they just don't call back, the case manager forget about you and then switch up the case worker and that's just lovely...some people jump off of bridges after they lose their parent and are struggling... Good thing I'm strong I guess... But for a company to be putting me into this feeling and mindset when they're supposed to help

I have been with Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health since 2009. (They used to be called Family Services back in 2009. After that they went by Lifepoint Solutions for a while. Now it's GCB.) I have a great doctor… (Peggy Foster) who has always taken great care of me. I'm on medications that really help me with my depression and anxiety caused from Bi-polar disorder. Also, I get great service from their in home pharmacy, Genoa. I have also used their services for CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor), Therapy Sessions and WIN (Work Initiative Network) a service partnered with OOD (Opportunities for Ohioins with Disabilities) in order to assist in finding their (GCBs) patients gainful employment. I'm so thankful for all of the help I've had and continue to have from the people at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services.
