WTCR Garland – Garland

Walking into this clinic I was very optimistic and had a lot of hope ,considering the fact that this establishment is for people who suffer from addiction, people who's life became hard to manage and are seeking another… way in their life. People looking for help, and think they found something good..but not even a week into the program I realized that this was not a place of care. The atmosphere feels so neglecting.. Their staff..counselor,nurses..they don't care about the lives and well being of the patients Or their time..Conversing with them you discern that maybe at one point they sought out their career with a brief motivation or want to help,care and to treat ..but that desire is far gone. It's just a job..the job they don't like being at you feel, at this clinic I think poor leadership is to blame. The lead nurse Kathy" she may be the worst of a sort.A nurse who is so evil spirited so negatively minded whom enjoys controversy and loves her authoritative position and fails to remember that the role and duty of a nurse calls for her to walk in humility. To humble herself assist and give service to those seeking help in their life.. so how could the staff be a positive care in a few lives, when their head leads continuously with such a wicked and negative example.. It's upsetting because I just wonder how many peoples lives continue to suffer because of some spite, judgement neglect or power trip.. how many lives??

Manager sucks but everything else is ok. As good as liquid handcuffs get I guess. Private pay = $75 weekly, $150 to start. $30 yearly state fee. No walk in. That manager tho.....lord have mercy she is a handful. Pray… for her she is unhappy.

Place is small and cozy. Hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for exactly since they share a building with another business. Councilor is very nice and helpful, they do want to help you get on a better… track they'll help you as much as you put in the work. Front desk is very nice and always a pleasure to talk to real quick. Be ready to come early at 530 if you're trying to receive services from here. You will have to wait awhile almost 4 hours while they process you and get paper work and all that good stuff out the way. Please be patient with them! There is really only one working with the majority of people that walk in they can only do so much! My only real gripe is the way the manager treats everyone very very rude and unprofessional. I had conversations with people that go regularly like me and some were down right afraid to even speak with her whenever she was filling in for front desk! Your clients should NOT be afraid or walking eggshells to avoid being yelled at by someone in the morning! It made me not want to even show up sometimes cuz she'd change my mood for the rest of the morning... Overall the place is nice and small and you will get the help you need here just be prepared to wait. Bring everything they ask you to bring. And be nice,I shouldn't have to say this but it will make things nice and move smoothly for everyone. I like coming to this clinic, would sure love to come at a different time other than 5am but there's a reason for the time frame.

The new staff is amazing! Been through some pretty horrible counselors and nurses but I am so lucky that the new staff is so helpful!

Good clinic but you do need to comply with the rules, over 20 years never has anyone tried to sel me anything. Without this clinic I would be dead without a doubt, comply and stay clean.

The counselor is mean and tries to get everyone kicked off the program

Rude & EXTREMELY unprofessional.I was told to go back to the clinic I came from after moving from Irving to Rowlett. I was turned away with out ever visiting the clinic or being assessed, which is how they decide… whether or not your a good fit.

The new counselor sucks.

They don't test for marijuana. Also, it's a methadone clinic. Don't stay on to long, withdrawals are worse than heroin or opiates. Lasts months!

Clinic is good. The patients to try to sell you heroin so beware even here it is tough to get off of it
