BasePoint Academy – Forney (713 West Broad Street) Address, Location and Contact Information
713 West Broad Street, Forney, Texas, 75126 is the address held. Forney sits in Kaufman County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

it is the best school i have ever went too for trement
Good afternoon, it's a pleasure for me to share my experience with Base Point. They have Spanish-speaking people in every department with perfect communication.
Considering the circumstances this was a wonderful experience for my daughter. The staff was receptive to our needs and communicated my child’s progress and any challenges throughout her time here. She has made great… progress on her mental health journey
Miss Courtney was wonderful with my son, Noah Redfearn. Within a week we saw many positive changes. He has gone through so many wonderful transformations since being in her care. The time when she was out of the office,… he said, “I like the other therapist, her boss, but I want my Miss Courtney back’”. She really has been a blessing for him, by the grace of God.
Our experience with Basepoint was very positive. Our child’s therapist was great, and it was clear that they fit a lot of activity into each day. It didn’t feel like daycare like so many mental health facilities. Their… education counselor made a real effort to connect with our home school and keep our child on track. Even the van drivers were always very friendly, helpful, and positive. It just felt like everyone wanted to be there… which is often not the case with mental health facilities. Our child has had ups and downs and is by no means “fixed” by Basepoint, but I’ve been amazed at how the staff has stayed in communication with us and provided resources and support even after we were no longer using Basepoint bc we needed a higher level of care, etc. They really go above and beyond to connect you with resources and provide ideas- way past the point of them having any incentive to do so. They really seem to just care and want to help. I would recommend Basepoint without hesitation.
It is just a very positive place. That has helped Mary w her emotions and communication
We love Mrs. Courtney and Mrs. Alexis. They are wonderful and are great at connecting with teens. They have helped my child and us tremendously and we are sad that we aren't able to work with them once our child… graduates BPA program. Mrs. Patrice is also great with our child. She provided a safe and quiet van environment for our child who gets over stimulated. We were sad we didn't get to be on her Van this time. Mrs. Crystal and Mrs. Tomeka are always friendly and helpful. Very welcoming and warm every time I speak with them or see them.
We had such a great experience with BPA, the staff welcomed us, identified the areas of need and communicated every step of the way. No regrets!!
The staff is amazing and Courtney is beyond words exceptional at her job. There isn’t someone I would have trusted my kid with more.
This place is amazing. Truly caring people, very dedicated to helping people heal. Transportation was safe, communicative, and timely. They were easy to contact, text or phone. Highly recommended. We've worked with… other facilities and they were hands above the others!
This was one of the scariest moments of my life and the employees were so helpful and supportive. It was a great experience for my daughter.
Took my daughter for an assessment. Hospitalization was recommended. I gave them both me and my husband’s health insurance to compare and let me know which one has the best coverage. It’s been two weeks, haven’t heard… from them even after following up. What a waste of time. Don’t recommend at all
This program really helped my teen son. He has learned the tools now to help him going forward.
Changing this to one star. They wanted me to do one when I was happy with their service. However, I now have come to the conclusion - they are insurance scammers! They charged my insurance a total of $71,907.44 for 33… days of treatment (if that) and are asking for more money after I paid my sons out of pocket max upfront. Also, my son did not finish the program bc they called CPS on me multiple times. Luckily for me it was an open and shut case both times!! These people are out of their mind if they think they will get another dime out of me!
From the first day, they took great care with my son and his treatment plan. They are organized and friendly and I truly felt like they had his best interest at the forefront of every decision. By his last day, he had a… solid working knowledge of himself and could speak up for himself to ask for what he needed. He also started thinking about what he wanted for his future. I’m so thankful for everything they’ve done.
My child attended this program last summer, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. With our insurance, we still paid over $8,000 out of pocket for less than two months of care. One of the biggest… challenges is that there are very few mental health programs in the DFW area that serve younger adolescents. My kiddo was only 12, so our options were limited. The intake process itself went smoothly, and initially, I felt hopeful. However, once treatment began, I quickly developed concerns. Some staff members—whose role is to provide support, safety, and emotional regulation—spoke to the kids in a very condescending manner. While I understand that some children in the program struggled with significant behavioral challenges, not all did. My kiddo did not struggling with that and yet was met with very little empathy. My kiddo can be slow to warm up, but that is exactly why a trauma-informed, empathetic approach is so critical in a mental health setting. Instead, I often felt that compassion was lacking. These are adults working with vulnerable children, and empathy should be foundational—it did not consistently feel that way. As a Texas licensed counselor myself, I approached this process hoping for collaboration. Instead, I often felt dismissed. Communication from staff came across as though they knew what was best for my child without meaningful input from me as her parent or as a professional. That dynamic was frustrating and, at times, disheartening. Another major concern was the inconsistency around discharge planning. The discharge date shifted multiple times, and it often seemed tied more to insurance and payment factors than to my kiddo’s clinical progress. This raised serious concerns about whether the program was truly client-centered. Overall, I left feeling that financial considerations were prioritized over individualized care. It is especially discouraging given how limited the options are for preteens in this area. Families are often placed in a position where they have few alternatives, and unfortunately, this program seems aware of that. I truly hope to see more compassionate, ethical, and developmentally appropriate mental health resources for younger adolescents in DFW in the future.
Everyone ıs so nıce here, the services were extremely helpful for my son. I recommend BasePoınt to any child ın need.
Took my child here for help for being bullied at school and they helped them find their voice. Happy with the service and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
First I want to start off by saying.. I regret not taking my daughter here sooner. I truly think if I had she would not have gone down the path of depression and self harm as far as she did. The FIRST sign of self harm… behaviors or depression please get your child help! My daughter started self harming 2 years ago and I thought she would grow out of it or it was just something she doing following behind friends and although I signed her up to see a therapist that was not enough! Second- picking the right therapist for your children is very important, if you have a guy feeling that your child is not benefiting from the sessions.. say something! Be involved… just making them show up is not enough! Third- there are different levels of therapist! I’m not saying that lower level clinicians are not good however I was paying $150 out of pocket weekly for a LMSW and honestly looking back my daughter was not getting better. I have now come to learn the therapist was feeding my daughters isolation tendencies, and also she did not disclose to me that my daughter was self harming, did not do a safely plan with me at all in the 2 years that she treated her, did not inform me so I could secure the razors that she was using… Now Basepoint! From the moment I took the step to call them, it was flawless. The assessment was great, the communication was great and from week one I seen a tremendous change in her behavior. She completed PHP and is now in IOP and although she relapsed and did self harm through the process, she has truly improved overall. Her coaches and teachers see a huge difference in her. At home she is more vocal, more aware of her triggers, talks about her emotions more often and also talks more freely of her self harm urges…we realized about 2 weeks in that she suffers from depression and has been for a while (another thing her 2 year therapist ever discussed with me or suggested I get her evaluated for), looking back at her behaviors she was definitely suffering and I thought it was just normal teen behaviors. She was able to get on medications and the doctors and nurses at Basepoint are truly so caring and loving towards her! Every step of the way they have been there. Communication is so great across the board. She has so much new hope for her life. She has a better relationship with dad now and she actively works on using her tools every day. Her overall mood is better and she is starting to seem more like her self. Now I can’t and won’t leave this post without talking about her therapist at Basepoint. Dominque- you are amazing. I can see the care and love you have for all the kids in every interaction I have had with you. You took every opportunity you had to care for my daughter and also care for us as a family unit. You treated us like we were the only family you had on your caseload. You took every opportunity you could to make sure our daughter felt seen and heard. I can truly say that your level of care is what single handily motivated us to keep her at Basepoint week after week. From week one our daughter recognized a difference in the therapy she received from you then her pervious therapist.. she came home every week with something new that she learn or a new tool that she could use.. you set the bar so high for what we want in her future therapist.. I know you saved her life and we will forever be grateful for GOD putting you in this career field and placing you in her path. Even though the weigh you are carrying for our children might seem heavy at times, I pray you can look back and remember my daughter and the way you have impacted her life. To Basepoint- keep doing what you’re doing…keep focused on hiring the right people. Thank you ❤️
My child attended BasePoint for about 10 weeks. I feel that they received good care and really enjoyed working with their therapist! Alexis is the best!
Thank you so much for your help and dedication to our daughter. I recommend you 100%. The best experience was meeting all the professionals in the program. I especially want to thank Dominique, Edith, Dylan, and… Marleny. And in general, thank you to everyone who made my daughter's stay so much better.
Had a wonderful experience and was nothing like I expected. The place is very welcoming and has a relaxing care!
Going through a crisis is never easy, but this has been a truly great experience for me. I’ve seen firsthand the meaningful difference Base Point has made.
It's a very efficient and friendly clinic ✅
Excellent support center for my teenage daughter. They have helped her a lot with her anxiety and depression. There are Spanish-speaking staff members in all areas. It has been a great help to me; I can understand… everything related to my daughter's mental health in my own language. All the staff are very kind and know how to do their job, with respect, integrity, and compassion. They also offer transportation. I am very grateful and satisfied with their services and medical support. I recommend them 100%.
Everyone has been so kind and caring
Good experience. Supportive counseling sessions. Calm responses from classroom teachers when things did not go as well as desired.
