Trillium Place Jefferson – Peoria Reviews and Ratings
For a view of Trillium Place Jefferson beyond its license and service list, read the reviews in this section. Patients and families use them to describe the admissions process, the staff and the day-to-day running of the program.
I don't think help like they shouldn't when it comes to helping someone that's had trauma happened to them and they think I am this crazy person I am not . But they keep pushing different meds downs me like I am a pill… poper and I need them but thats not all what metal health needs to over come my trauma and my fears and help me try to apply for me to get a place of my own and get me back to normal again.
I'd like to start this review out by stating I have been a patient of this clinic off and on since 2012 having gone through multiple Drs and Nurse Practitioners throughout the years. This is going to slightly long… winded so bear with me as the information will be crucial to potential patients new and old on wether or not they like to continue care here or start care here. 1st off I was recently pregnant and had to stop certain medications, ultimately stopping ALL medications (my choice) until I delivered my child in June. When I decided to begin meditation again I was told I had to be reevaluated in order to get an appointment because it had been right at the 6month mark since I had last been seen. Considering I am postpartum having been of meds for months I found that to be a completely unacceptable response especially since I have been a patient and have a long history. So I called a number I saw on Google reviews that your are supposed to call with concerns, questions, or grievances. Called that number, spoke to a woman that told me she would speak to higher ups and give me a call back. This was now 3 weeks ago going on 4 and no one even had the decency to call back and give me an update, cool. I went to get my assessment and waited ANOTHER week and a half for an appointment, here goes where it gets good. Had my appointment today 9/19/25 with the new NP at Trillium on Jefferson and told her it was critical I start the medication regimen I had been on for over a year as that was what worked for ME as the patient. I think I know my body and my mental health better than someone whose never met me or treated me. I only asked to be prescribed the same medication I was on before I got pregnant which included a controlled substance medication. It's on my chart, it's in my history, and like I said it works for ME. I guess the NP knows my body better than me and feels like the last 2doctors that prescribed my medication didn't know what they were talking about and told me I'd have to go get an assessment for the controlled substance medication but she would start SOME of the others today. Again, I have taken this same controlled substance from childhood into adulthood and that particular medication, in with the other 4 prescriptions has kept me sane and out of psych hospitals. I chose to walk out because it took me YEARS to find a combination of medication that worked for me and I'm not only very upset but I am also offended that this NURSE PRACTITIONER (Not Dr) would feel she has the authority to override 2 other Drs medication regimen and my own concerns as a psych patient. To say I am LIVID would be an understatement and the fact that no one ever got back to me to begin with shows just how much Trillium cares about their mental health patients. Then we wonder why people have a lack of confidence in the mental health services available in this city. This is why! Anyone with mental health issues knows how long it can take to find something that works and makes life a little more manageable and it is a slap in the face to have someone that doesn't suffer on a daily basis with my symptoms to tell me I have to jump through hoops to be prescribed medication I've been prescribed for years. I have zero confidence that anyone in a position of authority will see this review, much less reach out to rectify my particular issue so I will end this review by saying these people do not listen to the patient, they obviously could care less about the patient, so don't waste your time. Try to find another facility because this particular one goes through Doctors and Nurse Practitioners so much they can't keep up and then YOU the PATIENT has to suffer because of it. I'd give them negative ZERO stars but I'm unable to.
I’ve read all the negative reviews and am truly surprised. I see Jon Mooney at the Jefferson bldg and Ed Betzelberger in Pekin. Both of them are caring and definitely team players. I’ve never had any concerns that I… wasn’t being heard or that I wasn’t in control of my situation. Both of them have spent extra time with me as we waited for ERS to come down when I was in a bad place. When I determined (with their help) I needed to go inpatient they helped me jump through all the hurdles and when I said I didn’t need to go they honored that. I recently moved out of the area and both are continuing to “see”me via phone until I can find a therapist and psychiatrist in my new town. I know I won’t find anyone as wonderful as both of them and I am already grieving the loss. Because of severe child and spousal abuse I have serious trust issues but I trust them both 100%
(3.7 STAR RATING) Back in 2020, it was original called unity point I was going through a lot of problems but now I see Trillium on Jefferson in a better light. It may seem as if they don't work hard but ultimately, they… can only do so much it is up to the patient to care of oneself.
Called out my "counselor" over inappropriate statements made during a previous encounter. I've been waiting over a month for a new counselor....very troubling to see the state of affairs with mental health services in… Peoria.
Horrible service!!
Too many words to say what is wrong with this place.
Staff members are very rude and degrading. They yell and talk jive to you. They lie and give false information. They care nothing for your recovery just thier authority over you. Your treated like an inmate. Given… women's garments that don't fit. They will wake you up after you finally fall asleep just to take your blood pressure.
