Gateway Foundation – Jacksonville Detox and Rehab Services

What Gateway Foundation – Jacksonville offers is residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

Addiction and mental health are worked on at the same time here. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Ask what the assessment recommends before comparing anything else. Waiting times vary, so it is worth asking at the first call.

Do not recommend for outpatient. Nobody explains the program and anyone you ask there acts like they’re too busy to answer your questions. The groups are repetitive and boring. You sit for hours to discuss 1 topic that… ends up being 20 other random things unrelated to recovery with facilitators that never keep the group on topic. Besides that, if you have a job to pay your bills - don’t even consider it because they practically punish you by not giving you your prescription MAT medication. But you won’t find out till last minute by a nurse with a snarky tone as if she gets enjoyment from ignoring your calls & voicemails until she can answer & say she’s going home in an hour so there’s no time to figure something out. I could go on but the point is they don’t care about inviduals, just making money

Could not ask for a more welcoming, knowledgeable and EXPERIENCED backed program. Gateway Jacksonville's residential program is at the very top in every aspect. From the curriculum, structure for maximum opportunity, to… the amazing dining and living corridors- Gateway takes the cake. Their 90 day sober living is such a blessing, and NOW insurance funded (before was still only $145/mo, which you don't find any place to rent that cheap as far as I'm concerned) but the best part is- EVERYTHING and ALL the help is still right here. Thank you to all involved to make this place so great.

They become a part of your recovery in a big way. You… get out of here what you put in. All the things you need are at your disposal.

Taught me patience, to forgive myself and others, to be an all around better person, to love myself and others, to never let my guard down and never give up.! Gateway gave me all of these suggestions and I took what… works for me and I still got the rest in my toolbox for when I might need them! I am so grateful for the open arms and love I was given multiple times from all Gateway staff! They all showed me direction; and i am still going forward! The app is great and offers so much. The connection we get to keep and build with others that are going through what I have; it'd just amazing!!!

I can't say enough how grateful I am for the amazing Jacksonville Gateway staff and the life changing experience they facilitated. I was there for their residential (inpatient) treatment, and I highly recommend it to… anyone with substance abuse issues as it is undeniably the gold standard of treatment and recovery education. The building, grounds, and dorms (2 people per room) are immaculate and beautiful. The chefs and the meals they prepare are incredible - you'd be hard pressed to find any better elsewhere (especially if you have Medicaid). The counselors are beyond reproach; they are undoubtedly some of the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and understanding individuals in their line of work and human beings that I have ever met. Without them, the other clients, and all the staff there, I don't know where I'd be today, but I do know I wouldn't be the person I am today. They helped me rise to become the best version of me I've ever been. For that and so much more, I will forever be thankful for and appreciative of "my G-Bros, G-Staff, and G-Way." For anyone reading this, do not hesitate to call - these fantastic people just might save your life and will definitely change it for the better.
